I'm more surprised that there are people besides me that loves it nowadays. Grandia 1 is also my favorite game of all time but sadly it's very underrated. I remember it being one of my first games i played when i was a kid. It was long and really took you places. No other game comes close to offering the amount of adventure Grandia offered.

Robin MX Totally agree. Grandia defined the real, true "Epic" nature of RPGs that is just not found in titles today, at least not yet. And I'd honestly listen to the title song nearly every time I started the game. A truly incredible, memorable title. And this "Rockestra" arrangement was nothing short of amazing.

This game truly captured the essence of adventure. I’ve realized that this game has truly impacted me and my personal growth. I wanted to travel and see the world after playing Grandia. And now I am doing that as much as I can with a sense of wonder and adventure. The game also reflects my relationship with my baby sister in Justin’s and Sue’s relationship. Rest in power Takeshi Miyaji and thank you.

グランディアのテーマ聴きたさに、当時サントラを買えなかった自分は毎回ディスク1をずっと操作せずにずっとOPムービーで聴いていました。それくらい当時も現在も色褪せない名曲です。こちらの動画では、ヴァイオリンのソロパートで作中の、母親からの手紙をジャスティンが読むシーンを思い出しました。ジャスティンが、故郷の港町パームからニューパームの街へ母親に気づかれないよう早朝に旅立つのですが、船に乗る直前に船員から言われ、ある1通の手紙に気が付いてジャスティンはこっそり読んじゃうんですよね。そこには故郷を旅立つであろう事を悟っていた母親が、息子に向けた精一杯の激励をしたためていたんです。幼かった自分にもわかるくらい、母親の愛情の深さにどれだけ泣いた事でしょうか。いなくなって、離れてからわかる大切な人の存在の大きさ。大人になって、母親が子供を社会へ送り出す時の気持ちがわかるようになりました。旋律1つだけでプレイしていた当時のことを思い出して懐かしんだり、涙したり。ゲーム史に残る名曲を感動的な素晴らしい演奏で聴くことができて本当に感謝です。

O CD de playstation/Saturn não acompanhava a trilha sonora caso colocasse o disco em um aparelho de som ou para extrair do CD pra MP3? Lembro que muitos jogos dessa época tinham essa possibilidade. Sem duvidas a trilha sonora desse jogo é maravilhosa.

I wish more people knew about how majestic and incredible the soundtrack of Grandia is. Over time, I learned to appreciate and love every aspect of this game - and it ended up being the most important title to my personal life. When I think of adventure, wonder, and the hopeful unknown - there simply is no other soundtrack out there that captures it better than Noriyuki Iwadare's masterpiece.

You Tubeにアップされてから何度この動画を再生しただろう。中学生時代、セガサターンでジャスティンやフィーナ、スーやガドインたちと冒険したあの瞬間に心は一気に戻される。続編ではあまり本編で使用される機会の少ない曲でもあったけど、1では随所で流れ、気持ちを高揚させてくれた。まさに「忘れられない冒険」になりました。そして、今まさにNintendo Switch版をプレイ中。この素晴らしいコンサートに行きたかったと、何度観ても思わされる。

No me imagino un integrante de la orquesta tocando con ese entusiasmo sin haber jugado el juego y sentir la emoción de estar tocando una pieza maestra con sentimientos y emociones, una tonada qué llega al espíritu y lo eleva. Pero creo que no lo jugaron, solo tocan leyendo sus hojas con sus notas. Es increíble que no todo está ligado y aún así sigue siendo abismal esa canción tan hermosa y llena de potencial espiritual que eleva el alma. ❤

これから始まる冒険へ躍動する心を表現しているようなパート。続いて切なさを醸すバイオリンのソロ。音楽だけでも十分な感動があるけれど、ゲームのエピソードとつながると心が揺さぶられる。オーケストラといえばクラシックというイメージだけど、オーケストラで演奏される価値ある新しい曲もたくさんあると思う。

The entire orchestra looked like they were enjoying themselves playing this theme. I don't blame them either, this is one of the many musical scores that really sticks with you through the years. I will say though, they played a lot of the notes quite fast

I agree, Grandia was a game that truly showed you what an adventure was all about. And Justin's journey is one I will never forget. It never truly played off the cliches like most other rpgs do. It just showed a boy who wanted to go on an adventure. Oh god I always cry when I hear that violin at 2:13 T_T. I cried every time they played it, when Justin first left port to New Parm, and when Sue left the party at the end of disk one.

12 years ago, when I was just the same age as Justin, I always dreamt of going to a new world. Now, I've been struggling to find me a job... A JOB!!! I don't remember when and how I set aside my dream to take care of the reality. Perhaps I will end up just like everyone else - get a routine job, make money, day by day, year by year... Somehow, this song reminds me of the dream I once had. Now, am I a little crazy to say this: IF I EVER HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE MY DREAM COME TRUE, I WILL LEAVE EVERYTHING ELSE BEHIND TO PURSUIT IT.

first real rpg i ever played, its just so beautiful, intense, emotional.. great story, awesome soundtrack, unique combat system and well designed characters. i fell in love with this game almost 15 years ago and i'm still a fan of it. its very sad that the upcoming generations won't be interessted in such an old, yet beautiful game, just because its graphics aren't up to date...

Eu também, cara... Meu Deus como eu joguei esse jogo! Meu primeiro RPG que podia chamar de meu! Antes era tudo alugado e antes de Grandia, o melhor RPG que tinha jogado foi Chrono Trigger (alugado). Meu primeiro RPG de peso foi logo grandia do Saturn! Melhor coisa que me aconteceu no mundo dos games! A parte que você mencionou me traz lágrimas de nostalgia, carinho e felicidade!

Wow! I've been wanting to see and hear this song played by live orchestra for a long time. The tempo is a bit too fast at some points for me but otherwise this is awesome! Oh, and I would die to be able to be the guitarist for this piece.
