My parents grew up watching this show when they were both kids in the 1980's. I remember when I first watched this show back when I was like 6 or 7 years old (around 2007 or 2008). My late grandpa (who died back in 2017) had some VHS tapes and DVDs of a bunch of DiC cartoons that we watched a lot (such as The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic SatAM, Inspector Gadget and of course, Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats). I've started re-watching the show to re-live all of those happy childhood memories. I mostly watch the "Catillac Cats" segments because those are the best episodes in my opinion. My favorite characters in this show are Riff-Raff, Cleo and Wordsworth.
and I grew up watching this cartoon when I was a kid in 2000's like you. Back then it was feeling me great but you know time changes everything, I can't enjoy heathcliff anymore as in my childhood. But ı would like to turn back to those times as hell. Every day was a great pleasure.
Fun Fact: Shuki Leky and Hiam Saban, who wrote the themesong and music for this series also did music for He-Man, She-Ra, Rainbow Bright, Inspector Gadget and many others. They would also go on to found Saban known for their music and production of such hits like Power Rangers.
@@robertmilvae1408 it's 2024. nothing to be ashame about it anymore. he was, how do you say virgin in German again? nevermind, i remember. he was goodandtight.
Out of all the incarnations of "Heathcliff," the DIC version is probably the best. It had great background music & anime-like animation (courtesy of studios like TMS).
Funny how in a way D.i.C. helped popularize Japanese style animation in the USA, simply by having many of their old shows animated there, giving them a unique animesque style at the time. Nowadays many American shows are influenced by anime, but kinda lack that hand painted style they had.
I have a particular standard when it comes to making music extensions, and that's to provide the best quality audio possible without sound effects. And unfortunately, the "Cats & Company" version of the Heathcliff theme - at least to my knowledge - has no clean high-quality audio source without sound effects available. So unless someone knows where I can find it, I can't make one. My apologies for the inconvenience.
This show was a very classic show. I love heathcliff my mom hates him. Well though I barely watch the show I do remember the opening theme song by heart.
Seems like the writer of this song was more concerned about how to impress women than writing a tune for a kids show. With that said, it came out a better song than most kids themes so there's that.
billny33 you'd probably blow your top if you were to check the lyrics on some kids songs! For starters, check out the lyrics to "mordu" from the movie brave! 😮😵😮
As a Garfield & Friends fan moreso than a Healtcliff fan, this song really has no business being such a banger. But, man, I could listen to this all day. Sorry to the Garfield fans, the music for Heathcliff is better.
I found out about heathcliff when i was in middle school best years of my life, i hope heathcliff comes back soon, it's not fair that Garfield is more popular heathcliff came first so Garfield is the copycat(lol)... Well the Garfield live action movies are... Ok and the cgi ones are ... Ok a bit creepy but ok... Garfield looks horrible as cgi
