For survival shows like this, no matter how talented you are and deserving, it always comes down to the public vote that you get 😭😪. And this can also come down to your personality and how much you can get the viewer’s attention, not just with your performance but how you interact with everyone on the show. Wishing Zheng Theia all the best and hopefully this isn’t the last time we see her on stage!!!! We’ll be waiting for you 💕

I think this is because: A) They give what the general public want to see (popular trainees) B) If they can get great reactions, interactions, confessions/interview shots from you and find it engaging, they will obviously make it to the final edit of the episode OR (most controversial one) C) Show producers/ directors have their favourites 😪

She was only noticed on the performance because how can people know her if she had 5% screentime????? Almost all screentime mostly encircles on the aces of the trainees including snow kong, xiaotang, an, *esther*, and other famous trainees.

I think they also choose those with interesting traits that won't shy off in front of the camera, like what *no offense because I like her too* Esther, Zhao Xiao Tang, Snow Kong, and many more did. Hard work will always pay off so I'm sure they will earn their fruit of labor soon :)

She didn't have a coherent storyline. Either she's too good in the first place so she didn't have those "bad to good" stories, or she worked too hard that they couldn't find "funny interaction moments" of her and other trainees. Over the years, for a show like this, you really need to have a storyline in order to stand out.

The ranking was based on votes, popularity to be exact, not only their talents and abilities, which is why some of them are overshadowed by those girls who already have a fanbase, had more screentime, etc. So I feel sad for Theia Zheng because she obviously have the skills (she was in A class) but was eliminated.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONFUSED ABOUT THE “ROBOT” It’s actually a virtual idol created by iQIYI. Her name is RAINBOW and she’s from the virtual idol group called RICHBOOM. If you’re wondering if they can see her, I assume yes? Bc they’re reacting to her. I don’t know how it works but it’s probably the same technology like for Hatsune Miku.

This is the only variety show that made me support all the 109 girls and I was crying for 1 hour straight because of all the contestants that got eliminated but the thing about this show is tht I love how all the girls support each other. Give each of your trainees the fair screen-time that they deserve. I felt like I am only watching 30 girls on this show where in fact they are 108 in total 😱. The top 9 got too much screen-time, I am not hating on them but it seems like this show already have a list which trainees will debut since the beginning.

TPG trainees are very talented and I love all 4 of them and it’s just sad that the other 2 didn’t make it😭😭. One of the things that didn’t made them to top 60 is probably they were not as goofy as the other trainees. It’s so sad because the other 2 is also good at dancing and have a great voice and can even do whistle.😭

Sorry to say this.. Youth with you is not for taleny but for popularity as what i observe.. Not all talented gurls in top 9...the ranking of A to F is for my judgemental is not much more usable because.. The final ranking is based on the votes not for performance.....

This is an idol programme afterall.. and for idols popularity is really crucial. Dancing and singing talent is just simply one of the components to help the trainees get popular.. If the trainees get into class A they do get more screen time and other peripheral exposures like magazine photoshoot or ad exposure etc.. which eventually do help them get more votes compared to if they hadn't scored that well..

that the problem! Esther Yu is nice but shes already established celeb with a freaking role as a the female lead in a popular drama that is airing right now at iQiyi!! She has a very powerful company backing her up and will probably end up being a famous actress regardless of whether she is in this show or now. She shouldn't be in this show where other girls who have never had a quarter of her publicity or exposure have to compete against her in popularity. Its simply not fair.

i feel like it's just the production crew playing their cards and didn't want too many TPG trainees to be in. i want to think that it's not because they're from taiwan but...idk. just my two cents. im heartbroken for theia 💔

She got big exposure in bad guys performance and she was the center there too.. the only tpg girl I hardly noticed is Wang Sheen.. 3 out 4 with exposure and performed on first week..thats alot of time to gather votes...and let's not bring politic in.. so many got not enough exposure.. they don't show enough yuehua trainees.. much much less than tpg... Only got to see more Aria Jin and Vivi Chen on the last week..

I get that esther yu is very compassionate towards others and has a cute and funny side to her, but I think kiki, baby monster, shaking or snow Kong should’ve gotten first. When voting they shouldn’t leave out the talent factor. You can’t debut in a girl group with just a cute personality. no shade it’s just my opinion.

a cute personality isn’t a talent.. i hope she becomes more hard working and work on her skills more and not rely so much on her popularity, but since the show is popularity/voting based she’s gonna stay in top 9 and debut.

Justice for THEIA! I just started to notice her during the Bad guy performance. For me, I thought she did better compared to the 1st placer on that same team. This Survival show must have given her air time! It’s just so disappointing! The voters were really sleeping on her! I thought she got that 60th spot. I hope to see her in the future stage.

I see lots of comments about Theia not getting the attention she deserved due to lack of screen time. I do agree, maybe this show is not for her. She might be reserved for something better. Let's just be happy that she's starting to get recognized.

Theia Zhang!!! I will wait for your comback😍😍. Sad cuz im rooting for her with Sharon Wang. My pov, I hope the final 9 will all be deserving, i mean....equipped with talent and truly outstanding. I have nothing against voting publics, but the thing is, those trainees with money to spend (well off) will likely have an edge here. I hope mentors and public voters will have a 50/50 percentage to balance and select the most deserving of all. Public voting truly helped the shows income and popularity, same to all shows of this kind. They will hold on to the most voted trainees until half or semis, to finals. Like Esther ranked #1, i like her personality, his the clown of the show, she is very warm to all. But honestly, not to look down on her, she hasn’t shown talent that will forecast her strenght to be an outstanding idol.
