The European leading robotics and autonomous systems developer Milrem Robotics will launch a newly developed autonomous Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) unmanned ground system THeMIS Observe that will be showcased during the fourth iMUGS project demonstration in Belgium.
The THeMIS Observe is based on Milrem Robotics’ THeMIS UGV and integrated with ISR equipment from various leaders in their fields. The system includes the Z:Sparrowhawk camera from HENSOLDT, the Squire radar by Thales, Metravib Defence Pearl acoustic shot detection and the ROSY (Rapid Obscuring System) by Rheinmetall. The system can also be equipped with a light remote weapon station.

A camera on a stick is, of course, not bad either, but when will you make an autonomous AI-vehicle that could be sent to enemy infantry areas with the task of destroying all the military with recognition and auto-guidance (aim), for example?

That's where we're going to with the system of systems approach and fully digitized vehicle platforms. We already have auto-tracking and auto-targeting systems, we have infrared, thermal, stereoscopic cameras and lidar for target recognition and navigation. Do you think DARPA doesn't experiment with AI killer robots for decades ? I bet they have already use AI powered drones in the field. This ugv is used for recon and targeting recognition so if you try to blow it up it will probably call in one of its drones friends to come and blow the shit out of you.
