That argument with Theo and his dad where Theo screams "you're killing me!" Absolutely broke me. I had to rewatch it over and over it was so haunting

I was just watching that scene and my wife and I looked at each other and said "who are these guys again?" so I went on RU-vid to look up who Theo and Teddy were and found this clip 😅 in my defence, we took a year break between that episode and the one before it

Ryan Broussard (Will) is such a natural actor. His scenes are just relatable and honest which is a great gift.

James Caverly is so endearing in this role, I'm all the more delighted to find out they hired a genuine person with hearing loss for the character of Theo! Thanks to the acting, every scene with him is captivating. Hope we can see more of his character in the next season - I think they left the door open to go either way, but I'm hoping the love for this complex but ultimately good soul keeps him in. Ryan Broussard is also a sweetheart in this interview. It's so nice to see Will's character come upon well deserved happier times in season 2. p.s. I thought it was a neat touch that Ali Stroker made the special effort to sign off with ASL personally, wanted to mention that too. Thanks for the work you're all doing to make more people feel included.

Hey, not trying to score any internet points here, but I just wanted to mention the right term here would probably be "deaf person," not "person with hearing loss" which sounds really close to "hearing-impaired" (offensive). The idea is to not center the idea of 'loss' or 'impairment.' Generally speaking, deaf and hard of hearing (HoH) are the appropriate terms used in the Deaf community. Disclaimer: I am hearing, so this is just my understanding of those terms.

I thought the same about Ali Stroker’s ASL sign off too. 🥰 Ali has worked on the production of Spring Awakening, done by Deaf West Theatre, so I’m assuming she knows some ASL from there.

He used to mimic a character Martin Short played, long before he became an actor. Might be something he inadvertently picked up from there.

It would have been nice to have the interpreter onscreen so the audience could have the same access that James had in this interview! Captions are nice but there are a lot of people who would find signing easier to follow (it's unfortunately still common for Deaf people to suffer from language deprivation due to not being taught to sign early in life, and this can affect reading ability)

Of course! Why did it cause me to inhale sharply, when Ali mentioned their characters could be brothers? I knew that they were already but I think just hearing it said in that form gave me pause. 😅

Good Lord this show is good, fantastic actors on it too. If everyone watched this interview just before the final episode of Season 2, I think most people would know exactly who the killer is. Can't wait to see these fantastic actors' character arcs play out in future seasons, and for their arcs to shift in the final episode of Season 2... Get ready everyone, it's going to be a good one!
