The imago dei in Gen 1 is to be understood via Gen 5:3. the same words occur to describe Seth being made in the likeness and image of Adam. So we all know exactly what this means. It means Seth looked just like his father Adam and likewise acted like him. So Gen 1 means the same. We just bear God's image phyically where as he has a spiritual body. Moses saw God literally - that is his back in Ex 34. So we as humans are honored above all creation to be made in God's image and likeness. Christ is also the God-Man eternally.
@@garlandjones7709 Well, Harvard, this school is not. This is a clear example of indoctrination ... not education. What we see with this class is how poorly educated a good many Fundamentalist Evangelical pastors and teachers are. This is the caliber of low-hanging indoctrination that goes on, and why so many pastors seem so far out of their depth, when it comes to reality. This is a glorified Sunday School passing for higher education. Graduate from a school like this and you will be prepared for nothing, by which you could make an honest living. You will be prepared to hold a Bible in an unemployment line.
