Therapy? is a Northern Irish rock band formed in 1989 by guitarist-vocalist Andy Cairns and drummer-vocalist Fyfe Ewing in Larne. Initially, Cairns filled in on bass guitar for their first demo before recruiting Larne bassist Michael McKeegan to complete the lineup. The band gained prominence after signing with major label A&M Records in 1992, releasing four albums, including the well-received "Troublegum" in 1994 and "Infernal Love" in 1995. Ewing's departure in 1996 led to the introduction of Graham Hopkins on drums and Martin McCarrick on cello and guitar.
Despite lineup changes over the years, with Neil Cooper replacing Hopkins in 2002 and McCarrick departing in 2004, Therapy? has remained a stable three-piece. Currently signed to the UK independent label Marshall Records, the band boasts an impressive discography with 14 full-length studio albums and has achieved global success, selling over two million albums worldwide.
