They sure don't give you much room to work in there I enjoy your videos very much. Enjoy seeing the farm life. Thank you for what you and your family do.
That drone footage really shows how much feed it takes on your farm to keep cows healthy and full! Andy it appears you got some help that drives by feel. 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
I'm surprised you don't have an incident every week with the number of employees that work there. If you can laugh about those boo-boos,you are an awesome boss.
I was waiting to hear the story when you got back about how an elephant caught the side of the chopper before running into the shed and hitting it and the planter 😉 You've got to be careful of those moving poles and jumping mailboxes.
Just the ease and convenience of changing over that kernel processor ought to sell thousands more choppers!! CIH, Deutz,, Fendt, Toro, Weedeater, Milwaukee,...Old Hickory, Old Timer,...Schrade, Gillette, fingernail clippers,...no end to the business that thing could promote! Used to be, John Deere made things that were fairly easy to service or repair. It makes me wonder, A LOT!! I betcha there's better golfers on staff than there is guys that can catch and milk a cow! I gotta admit, once ya' get 'em together proper, they run pretty good though!
The 2 types of concrete are wet and dry. How thick is the concrete for the new pad? Just curious. I love listening to your stories and watching you work.
Umm no thought of the day? Why? Your man can't tell the difference between a deer and a mail box?? To funny. Or was he in a hurry to be leaving your tenants house?? Ugh? Just saying. Lol
The added benefit of these videos...if something goes kafflooey and you aren't around, your guys can pull up a video and, voila! I am constantly amazed at your skills. Loved the drone work of the farm!!!
Andy, what a beautiful operation you & your family run. You’re kids are lucky to have such a hard working dad & you’re teaching them well. Stay healthy …
Just love to see the day to day things that you go through just to keep the cows fed .Its a great distraction from all the junk on here now. great drone footage !
Hi Andy, there are many types of concrete. I guess it depends on the cement you use. Here in Europe CEM 1 (Portlandcement) is the highest quality, strongest and most expensive it's used for concrete beams and such. Then there is CEM 2 which has additions of slag (from a steel mill)i and /or flyass (waste product) mixed into it. Then there is CEM 3 which has even more of that stuff mixed into it. So that's less strong and cheaper but still perfect for floors and such
Back when we farmed we had a small dairy farm shipped are milk in milk cans had a silo but not for corn maybe had 40 head 2or 3 hundred acres .So your choppers and other equipment is new to me we ran 8 and 9 ns sickle-bar mover
The pad looks great! A local operation (in VA) used to make precast bunker walls, idk if they still do, because they found out they can make more $ in the Highway barriers, or Jersey walls. To a dairyman, Jersey Wall has a different meaning. 😂👍👍
Great video as always 👍 Thank you Andy for sharing. The farm has really gone through some major expansions over the years. Glad to see the corn is about to get some attention 😊 Hope that northern land dried out plenty. It seems that black Circle of Disappointment (FORD) has given you a great year of service. God Bless the Farm and Family.
Doesnt matter how many times you do this its still interesting on the process of changing it over to corn. Just wondering how long it takes to change over?
Love your videos, great aerial view of your farm. That is a huge concrete pad you are building, does that have rebar in the whole pad or just in front of the pad? Looked like your aerial view showed rebar just in front.
I would love to see the finances from this operation. Boggles the mind. I pray this is cash, not just trying to stay a step ahead of the bank. :( I know the price of milk......
I’ve watched your content off and on and always enjoyed it. It’s amazing to see the scale of your dairy operation. I never knew how much agriculture work (farming, fixing and fabricating) went into growing the feed to support a dairy farm. I wish I lived in the part of the country to buy your farms products. Pretty amazing and impressive work you, your family and crew do from a non farmer.
Andy, if we were all farmers and knew all about switching over the chopper why would we watch you? I small square bale about 25 acres of hay is all. Left the farm for the city but came back.
Are you going to any live streams of corn silage if you do? I love watching all of them and being here to see them. Thanks so much for taking the time. Good luck with corn silage.❤❤
Hi Andy ! Beautiful project by your father and brother that big floor .Thanks for the beautiful image that drone dose for you and sharing that whit us . Thanks Andy for your time and have a good day everybody at the farm !
I didn't fully know exactly how big your dairy operation was until this drone shot jeez thats quite the amazing operation!! How many cows do you guys milk?
If you look back, pull starting the drum, when it is about half way wound down you can hear the rpms of the noise and drum are identical. Maybe a very little pulley vibration. Thanks for letting us know another good video
Good video and funny to hear the questions and complaints. I guess you are new to your operation and need some helpful advice to get on the right track 😮. Thank you, take care and good luck with the rest of the harvest.
I have a 2020 450 with the 6.7 diesel and towing I’m only getting 12.5 mpg average. Heck the 7.3 is looking pretty good for our next truck as it’s much cheaper to maintain and gas costs less.
The black truck gets better gas mileage because your guys dint drive it because it's new .the qhote truck I bet gets driven like a bat out of hell that white truck should get 18 high 15 around town of they don't floor it ever were they go .;)
I love your show,1 question can you run a wire wheel on the knives off or on,I live in West virginia and I wish I could work on your farm, but I'm a off road dump truck driver, so I'll just catch ya on the next one.
CLEANING plates and saddles ..... GROOVY idear !! i worked for boss that decided " thats too much work , we'll loosen and just bang knives ahead and retighten".... GEHL 1260 ........ CARNAGE !! clean and TORK indeed !! 😊😊
Hey there Hollywood, I hope this finds you well? 🙏 Andy my friend, I don't typically criticize your, or anyone else's language for that matter, but i gotta say that you were way over the line in this video, your taking the Lords name in vain is completely unacceptable, as well as extremely dangerous for the one committing this egregious sin. Thats it, thats all I'm going to say, other than you need to include an "R" Rating for Language on your videos if this is going to be the new norm?
My '22 F250 with a 6.2 usual farm running around not towing averages 13.4 mpg and get this: 11.9 in "Eco mode". Lol. Saving the planet. Just makes it "doggie" at lower speeds.Same rpm at highway speed.
I thought Andy, this was a family Farm channel. I stress the word family leave the profanity out please if kids are watching this, they don’t need to hear it no profanity.
Mailboxes will get you every time LOL. How many yards of concrete in that pad? Sure a boatload of ready-mix trucks lined up. Wishing you, your family, and help smooth sailing in the corn chopping effort.
Lucky he didnt hit a cow the F250 would have been a write off. I hit a cow that was out of the paddock on the road left front side was all smashed in, that took out the tyre, and the headlight still worked in under the smashed up panel. Farmer that owned the cow had to pay for the repairs and fix up his fence. Damn cow just shook its arse, looked around and walked on off. it had a little bit of white paint over the hip bone. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the drone video that’s a great setup gives me a better idea what your operation looks like! You must be very proud of your operation and I know there’s a lot of blood sweat and tears and especially TIME and money of course! Thanks again
I think by fixing the grease line you fixed the problem. On the origi al video in the shop about the problem, i noticed the squeek matched the timimng of the revolutions of the cutterhead. I could see the revolutions by the dust on the cutter drive pully.
Great video Andy, always interesting to watch the mechanical changes required between grass and corn. Always amazing to visualise 10 or 12 rows of corn being forced through a 1mm gap and see the volume of forage that comes out the shoot .
