so am the only person who enjoy the old lyrics more? I like the new ones and they prob fit more but I’m not only way more accustomed to the original but I think the original had such an amazing vibe and feeling that the new lyrics will never match

I thought that I was crazy. I heard the Spotify version earlier than the RU-vid one and my friends didn't believe me when I said that the lyrics changed. Back then I didn't find anything on it but now- I am glad that I found the explanation. This video was something I definitely needed

I have to say, I like the second set of lyrics much better. It’s really powerful and the buildup is great. Plus I think the vocals just sound better but that’s more subjective, I think.

I'm split. The old suits the song more but the lyrics on the new best describes what unity is.

The YT version (which, matter of fact, is also the version on Pandora) just feels more natural and makes more sense. However, I've had the Spotify version on my Apple Music playlist for a long while and I'm accustomed to it. In a nutshell, I'm fine with either one, I just wish both versions could be released on both YT (plus Pandora) and Spotify (plus Apple Music).

I don't know what to say but... I think the two of them are great, The single person and the kids chorus. I really like them both, that really cool.

The spotify lyrics shows the unity of the song better than the youtube version in my opinion

The YT version is slightly better than the Spotify because The words have much more sense. the YT vocal part is talking about a nation that want to become free form something, but the Spotify version is talking about a nation that is already free. I think that the YT version happens before the Spotify version. Maybe the song is an anthem of a nation while it was a slave and the Spotify the anthem of the nation after they are already free.

Lets be honest, can we get the old lyrics back to spotify cause im annoyed, i want to listen to this offline then realize i dont have the old version on spotify

I love the youtube version, but something about the spotify version just works so well. I love listening to it, and it fits the song in a perfect way. my only problem with it is the huge grammatical error in the lyric "growing stronger every day even more." I'm it's lame, but it always gets me for some reason lol

The old lyrics are better and that's a fact. The new ones song like some 6 year old girl singing at a play and the singing part lasts to long. When I listen to this song I do it for the nostalgia. Not the quire club interrupting the song. That just *kills* the moment.
