I work with a charity that connects people who are struggling for various reasons with hairdressers like me who are willing to offer free services so I’ve been able to see the impact having years worth of matted hair removed has on people. The relief for dogs that are covered in it must be just overwhelming!

To be honest, I wish this dog had not been returned to its owner. I understand the lady was elderly & poor, but when you can no longer care for a pet, you need to turn it over to a rescue to receive medical care and hopefully find a new loving owner who will not abuse the dog. Yes, I do believe this is animal abuse to let a dog go on in such a painful condition. I do hope the lady who cared enough about the dog to get help for it will live up to her promise to assist the old woman in its future care. In the meantime, you do the work of angels. You’ve saved a beautiful soul from a life of misery.

He's not being rehomed he's an older dog belongs to an elderly widow who could not afford care. They have arranged with a person in the widow's area to help with grooming and care going forward.❤

Thank you very much for rescuing this dog to save and change his/her life. I hope this is the end of this dog's suffering and a beginning of a new and happy life that he/she deserves. I wish that this dog will be adopted by a kind person or family to give him/her a home, full love, care, protection, attention, and a happy life to make up for the pain and suffering that he/she went through early in life.

The sad thing is that this wasn't a street dog - an old lady took him in after her husband passed away. But she obviously didn't really know how to look after him properly or couldn't.

Thanks for all help you are able to give ❤ Have a blessed week ❤ we are taking on 2 more dogs our friend passed away his daughter took the dogs but found out she couldn’t handle them because she is still recovering from brain surgery since these dogs had already been rescued from a bad situation once we would take them & give them a home with our 4 since we have room
