I was sitting at home in my room when this hymn came to me. I'm going through a stickiness that has me where I can't walk natural anymore, This hymn brought so much joy and faith to me. It has given me so much more faith to (now that He Jesus wash all my sins away. Amen, Amen.

One of my favorite hymn and I love the beautiful singing. This song brings back memories when I was saved on Good Friday as a teenager. I miss hearing these beautiful hymns in churches but I also love hearing all the verses. Thou dying Lamb thy precious blood shall NEVER lose it’s pow’r. Till all the ransomed church of God are saved to sin no more. My mom just love to hear all 3 siblings singing; continue singing for the Lord and being a blessing to many 🙏🏾
This song was written by William Cowper. He lost his mom at 6 and was sent to a boarding school and he was bullied. He tried commit suicide twice and sent to private lunatic asylum. He met Dr. Cotton there. Dr. Cotton is a Christian and he share the gospel to Cowper until one day he repent and wrote this hymn.

This hymn speaks to me, whatever it is you go through, rejoice in his name and find joy even when times are hard. He knows what you’re going through. I believe that Jesus died for me. Once saved your his forever. I believe sometimes it’s important to walk alone and listen through the silence for his voice and direction,i think we go to church to admit that we’re sinners.

Encouraged by the fact that this blood shall never lose its power till the church of God is saved to sin no more. There is no sin that the blood of Jesus is not able to cleanse. No one is too sinful for the Lord Jesus Christ. We just have to come to Him by God's grace and He does what he knows best, how to create a "bright noon day sun" from "pitch blackness from the pit of hell". We become as white as snow because of the saving power in this blood. How I love to sing this song alone and with my family. Glory be to God for Jesus and His blood!

God's love is beyond human's understanding and comprehension. Jesus' love for me - Him having me in His mind - while He took that shame and guilt for me. It really humbles me. And even aside from that, His love chases me down everyday. The 'little' miracles He does for me each day! He really has loved me to the extent of the capacity that He has or can ever love. Salvation is for sure the best gift y'all!!

This happened to me also. I woke up with the lyrics coming back to me from years ago, i am now 80 years young. The next day as I was surfing "You Tube" there it was. I played the video and sang along. Thank God for the Blood and annointed timeless songs that are inspired by the Holy Spirit.

I haven't read all the comments but do people know the story Of this William Cowper song? Cowper was John Newtons partner in writing Olney Hymns when both were living in the village where Newton was curate. I find the story to distressing to complete just now and it was an experience i have shared with Cowper and so has a special Meaning to me. Also i sang this to those who had remained after evening prayers on the day a young man well loved by all of us passed away when his heart transplant miscarried. It is only in the last few i understood why i sang. I usually only sing the first, second and 4th verses just as selected in this track. they have put variations but i like them I prefer "there have I" in the second verse as the origianl

It is very sad that the 'christian' music stations do not play these hymns and the artists are just as worst. Very few of them still sing songs that are strongly rooted to the bible and can usher you into God's presence while the rest basically sings nonsense for just a profit and proclaims its 'christian music' Sometimes I cannot even listen to those stations here in NY because of what they produce. these Hymns shall never grow old.

To the one that says he is a sinner...no sir now you are the righteousness of God thru Christ. 2Corinthians 5:21...yes you still sin but hallalujah God made a way for you to not be bound in that sin..the more you believe He took your sin the less you will sin!
