I have the same microscope with a different brand name on it, and your impressions are spot on. I really think this is a good fit for students, coin collectors and electronics enthusiasts who aren't RU-vidrs and who are not trying to stream their work. I also have the HDMI one that suffers from the same fault of not displaying on the screen while on hdmi/usb. That's a real bummer.
I have a question. But first let me tell you that I like your video. It was very explanatory, not overly so. Just right. My question is, how do you get it to switch from video to camera? I noticed you edited a bit right there around your video to camera switch towards the end of the video, is there something I need to know there? All I can do is get mine to take videos
I have one of these, under yet another name. For the money it's brilliant, but like you I found the SD card and micro USB slots to be far too close to the part of the case that sticks out, which makes it really hard to plug and unplug them. Also, in certain resolutions, the picture ends up oval on the PC as the aspect ratio seems to be a bit odd. But it's a great bit of kit, although when I get mine down to use, I often end up wasting a lot of time looking at various random things in close up! Compared to the microscopes you could buy when I was a kid, this is way way better.
Very valid points and have the manufacturer got back to you on your suggestions or issues raised? I'm looking for something also hooks up to PC but doesn't lag.
Amazon US says $109 but the Amazon Canadian site has no price even listed. Since the truckers (according to ET Transport) are upset their total costs to work have more than doubled, I won't hold my breath for anything south of $200 CDN.
I've seen at least Amazon's prices stay relatively steady. I wish I would have written down what it was before. It is available now from a 3rd party for 300$, which is a tad steep I would say.
@@SimpleElectronics What I'm using for now, gives me > 8 inches of working room under the lens. It's an old photographic enlarger for use in a dark room from the 50's with a zoom lens. Where the light bulb used to be, now sits a Logitech camera. Good enough for some old guy up here in Kitchener 😉 Take care!
