Getting 10 hogs was harder than getting a true hog before afk world, and obtaining vasto lorde was a pain because u needed 50 mask crack (1 per kill), an albino 1v1 wit a player, and the boss.

At least in peroxide they give a in depth tutorial to the mechanics and give you a vague idea of what to do. Type//soul just drops you in and doesn’t say shit.

I have built up this anger over like 4 years and I’ll try my best not to direct it at you personally lol Anyways, I hate how popular of a sentiment that is. Like what do you mean “handed to them” ? Do you just expect them to have the exact same experience and knowledge you did? What if they don’t care enough about the game going in (or maybe even, god forbid, want to see the quality of the game themselves) and don’t bother looking up a guide so they just quit because they have no idea what to do? Like it’s actually such an ignorant statement. There is no reason for game devs not to tell you how the game works, like even notoriously hard games like Elden Ring have tutorials for the systems! And still using Elden Ring as an example, IT HANDS YOU JACK SHIT!! You still need a guide if you want to play “optimally” or whatever. And yet you don’t see anyone in their right mind bitching about people being confused when it’s their first souls like and they have no idea what to do. TLDR: The statement completely ignores that people have differences in knowledge and experience. And because not everyone has the same experience with games, (which is what makes the good ones such a good form of entertainment btw), not everyone knows to look for guides, nor does everyone want to.

Type soul can ATLEAST give a little pop up saying “go to mission boards to level up” or for hollows tell them eat other hollows to advance it’s not hand holding it’s below bare minimum in game design 😭

Reaper 2 was good until they decided to add a poop gacha system and made it look like a kids' game. Peroxide is probably the best if you want a relatively simple bleach game.

@ChonksChickenPotPie I'm talking about the buddy/pet gacha system in reaper 2. I'm okay with the gacha system for spinning shikai/volt/res and stuff, but I think they really didn't need to add that gacha system for pets in my opinion they made the game more for kids especially with their ui choices.
