My Grandmother always used to say; "If you're not careful you'll wind up in the poorhouse." I never thought I would actually wind up in one LOL.
I thought it was just an ordinary farmhouse when I was exploring it. I did some research afterward and found out it was an Almshouse AKA Poorhouse built specifically to house poor and needy town residents on a town owned farm from 1883 to 1941.
That explains all the small bedrooms and many bathrooms. I guess the jail cell in the basement was for residents who got a little out of hand.
I imagine most of them worked on the farm to earn their keep. It sits on hundreds of acres of land.
The house is pretty empty except for a few pieces of original furniture. There's a giant reptile tank in one room.
It was a nice explore. The architecture was nice to look at especially with all the vines growing in through the windows.
