In today's video, Paul Drew from The Studio Rats is checking out the brand-new fuzz pedal from Walrus Audio called SILT.
This awesome fuzz pedal is different from the norm as it boasts a 12AU7 Tube.

Love the intro playing!! My biggest issue with a fuzz has to do with the lack of articulation and the flabby/broken sounding tones on the 5th and 6th strings. The Silt seems to have those concerns covered. Great demo, Paul. Thanks mate!

Thanks Lim, yeah this fuzz has the articulation covered which is what I find lacks with a lot of other fuzz pedals.

@@dreamscubaAre you using the Eons live? Or just jamming at home? I'm not a gigging musician, but I think I see a problem with it for live situations. Let me know if I got it wrong. I find when switching between distortion types, the output volume is all over the place. I'd think in a live situation, a player would be stuck using only one of the fuzz types.

Wow. I love the intro and outro tracks. They are epic. Definitely need more of these and release these in an album. A lot of work went into those. I have the Walrus Eons fuzz (I got it based on your review). It is the first fuzz that I have bonded with. How does this compare to the Eons? Thanks.

Great sounding fuzz, downright filthy with the octave mode! Paul, did you ever mess around with Beetronics pedals? They sound unique and flat out bizarre (or beezare, sorry couldn’t help it). Excellent playing btw, love the multiple guitars (especially that Gold Top)!

Its different every time but on this vid I used Logic Pro Drummer. Much better that a real drummer (doesn’t ask for tea and then leaves half a cup like James)
