Robbo, need to understand the facts re Sydney Stack. He was held in custody after not one but multiple quarantine breaches. He had made it abundantly clear that he could not be trusted to abide by his undertakings so the govt had little choice but to hold hime to ensure public safety. He's also not the only one, just this week another returning traveller has been jailed for 2 months for repeated quarantine breaches. Stack is NOT being single out.

WA does not have the same restrictions to SA as they do to Vic - Vic is classified "Low Risk" and must quarantine and be tested. SA is classified "Very Low Risk" and doesn't have that restriction (unless something has changed since 4PM (AEST) 14/07 - which is when the Vic "Low Risk" came into effect.
I know this all depends on the stats for Victoria, but if the Queensland border is open to NSW, what is to stop the Swans' and Giants' families from flying up to Brisbane or Gold Coast, quarantine there for 2 weeks, then fly into Melbourne? Has Victoria closed its borders to Queensland? There's 4-5 weeks left in the season before finals, so that would give them a chance (barring any births) to get down there.
Stack was thrown in jail because he was let in on compassionate grounds. He then went onto escape and start fights in Perth, which was his second time after the Gold Coast incident.
Robbo, the issue isn't WA rightfully coming down hard on someone who selfishly broke the rules, it's that the rest of the country ISN'T doing that. You're angry at the wrong people.
