I hate to break the news to Doug, but he actually had that last game. If he overlayed for the Titanic Moth at around 40:38 and attacked with it instead instead of with the Purgatrio and the Synchro, then used it's effect to burn for 2500, that would've been 1000 extra damage that turn. His last attack later would've won him the match. So I'm sorry, Doug...it did in fact matter this time. I dont blame you though because who remembers the effect of Titantic Moth. Plus hindsight and all that (You'll see a clause that says any direct battle damage Moth inflicts is halved, but this is only if it does so by it's own effect)
So rose won (in competent hands). Sealed is one thing, but Doug does know that Rose dragons were used as an engine in Dragon Link and Halq piles right? It's a competent engine, the pack just has bad payoffs. But he acts surprised when they actually synergize to give plenty of material.
As much as I want exactly this, as someone who has opened a considerable amount of this pack, it blows, (why tf are both spirit charmers and Awakening of the possessed ur and why are they so hard to pull) then again my luck is balls so it may just be a skill issue..
If I had a nickel a YugiTuber pulled an extinction on schedule this week, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice.
Define good, because some of them are decent, just not incredible. Shot through fiction is the Rokket pack, Fiendish Playthings is Fluffal, and indomitable knights is Phantom Knights. The majority are bad, but there are still some decent ones
I feel like Doug could have played a bit more into his 1 copy of Black Rose because that's the Rose Dragon gameplay in the end, blowing up the field again and again and bringing back the 2400 Dragon to attack with (whether it's with the quick play spell or Blue Rose's effect). Still a good attempt, and the Titanic Moth was pretty funny.
As somone who plays all 3 decks in the witchcrafter pack, witchcrafter seems nuts in sealed even without the fusion. And Magistus seems very powerful if you can high roll their URs, but still seems playable if you low roll, and invoked just seems like an engine you’d want to splash into witchcrafter if anything.
I feel like there were multiple chances that he could've nuked the field with Black Rose and brought it back using the set Basal Rose Shoot that was destroyed
What a great set of games! Given the packs spun I did not have high hopes for a competitive game and then Farfa pulled Alister. Way to go Doug, keeping the games close!
You know, sometimes you normal summon him in the left column, sometimes in the right. If you're feeling adventurous you can summon him in the middle left column.
I wosh the bonus wheel was around for ABC since that's coming sooner or later. Looking at decks like Springans/Generaider as decks that revolve around the field spell being R and stuff like Unchained/Swordsoul where their strongest main deck monsters are N/R Meanwhile every single good ABC name is SR, the card that makes hangar a one card combo is SR, Hangar is SR and even if they pull each ABC name they still have to pull ABC for a boss monster snd even then one piece of removal and they're stuck playing vylons of all things.
so in game 2 I was gonna say that i think Dzeef could have won by using synchroing into black rose dragon and using its second effect to put the raidjin in attack potion with 0 attack but, I think raidjin may be soft once per turn so that may not have worked. nvm you confirmed what I thought later on.
Wow the Rose really bring alot of 7* n 3* Tuner to the board, while not locked into dragon/plant... If only it is not a sealed environment... I can see easy baronne and R7 kash combo... Rose Dragon Deck not as bad as they thought, if played with newer meta cards i guess...
Uh oh, sounds like you should've taken the Combatants of Flame packs. I actually play Laval's and I must admit, despite Laval's not being good overall, at least their packs stay constructed and you can make a generally consistent deck out of the Combatants of Flame side of your pulls.
Unfortunate for doug. If his extra deck is not dogshit, he could play a little bit more with his monster. Any half assed deck cannot beat a normal summon alister.
Correct me if I'm wrong... but couldn't Doug use Mark Of The Rose on Raidjin, then use its effect on Cocytus to Book of Moon it, then Synchro Summon BRD to nuke the field, which would kill Cocytus since he's flipped face-down?
@@arobnugzo6818... I'm so dumb. Like, I dunno WHY it doesn't click in my head that when something's immune to opponent's card effects, that its LITERALLY ALL CARD EFFECTS, but someone there's always 1 thing that's like "Oh, you can do this" but you can't.
Tfw I've made it to the end of the master saga and master roulette wheels playlists. Doug hurry up and make another series so I can continue to fall asleep to your ygo content
Glad to see Witchcrafters go up against a lower powered deck comparatively so I don't have to see my awful favourite deck lose and see people say how awful they are, because I'm well aware. That runtime does have me nervous that it might not be the sweep I'm hoping for though.
I'm sorry, I know it's difficult to play a deck you aren't familiar with, but Farfa, how did you manage to loose that first game??? First of all why didn't you pitch scroll turn one to retain one more spell in hand. And secondly, why didn'y you revive Haine turn 3 by using Genni effect in grave to copy Holiday?
In game 2 when raijin was facedown did doug have a plant in grave? If he did he could have made brd used 2nd effect to flip up raijin and make its atk 0
I'm getting real tired of these 2 shitting on 2 of my favorite archetypes (Black rose and Magistus) (im not actually mad, they kinda suck but only kinda) in Doug's defence the pack is really bad, all of the rose dragon extra deck monsters are high rarity, and the deck does literally nothing with out them, 1 White Rose and 1 Black Rose and pretty much nothing else is soo cursed mark of the rose control was pretty much all he was doing, but Farfa, Magistus is crazy in sealed, easy aiwass access off of a summon pretty much is insane, as well as Zoroa/Endymion control is funny especially since Black rose can't pop a card equipped with Vahram and the reborn protects the backrow, no Artemis or xyz Rilliona sucks but everything else is cheap.
Farfa really caught the spirit of being an Invoked player here. Who needs more than one copy of Aleister when you just open him almost every duel? Also kudos to Doug. Despite fighting an uphill battle from the start he made his pack look pretty decent at some points.
