thistle ...fun stuff indeed... for some reason we also had an awful outbreak of mustard weed this year....but I cant get over how long your clover plot has lasted..... tried no till on a part of our plot this year for comparison sake ...I was shocked on how effective the no till was in relation to the till for both corn and soybeans... but with the dry early mid summer, the no till actually had more protective cover from the drought...Love this stuff....keep them coming ...
Sorry to hear about the mustard mess! And you're right on the no till protection during dry times. As long as you can drill beans and corn into a standing cover crop, those dry days aren't as much of a concern. Crazy how quickly summer and fall came and went... soon it'll be time to plant again. Happy 2024 to you & the fam!
Incredible video, I love to watch and see the progress. It inspires me in the cold winter months to prepare myself for the growing season ahead. Your channel inspires me and fills me with hope and information to use in my plots. I wish that exclusion fencing wasn’t so costly. However, I’m sure it’s worth it in the long haul. Thank you for all that you guys do! Best wishes, until next time.
Thanks for kind words Justin. Yes the exclusion fence will cost you at the start, but it's worth it when you account for at least 10+ years of use. The ability to limit accesss until the plot is ready pays dividends on your initial time, seed and fertilizer investment. It truly is a labor of love and wouldn't be possible without the whole group focused on the goal. The hard work provides months of relaxing time outdoors watching the wildlife enjoy all the food.
