Plans and visions sound nice and that, but if these result in us being guaranteed to concede goals against any decent opposition, then are these plans & visions full proof? As much as Ange's faith in his work could be seen as inspiring, the work itself doesn't bare enough fruits for us to have 100% faith in it and his reluctance to admit to his mistakes and amend them can also be very frustrating.
@@5678hgvhjkjnbnmHe's won things everywhere he's gone but has spent poorly at Spurs. Solanke was an embarrassing signing let alone for the fee involved. Tbf the first opportunity that comes along he'll stab you in the back as he's done everywhere else. Absolutely no respect for the man who sat and lied to us before 2 days later disappearing to the perpetual failure that is Spurs.
@@MewtwosmrmimeSpurs will come good if the big man is given time. He's a serial winner. What are you talking about. How did he lie to us? You seem to have a very short memory. Do you not remember before Ange came to Celtic the state we were in. I was honestly foreseeing a 3rd of 4th place finish. He literally turned our whole club around, installed a new culture and changed the whole trajectory of the club nevermind the trophy's. Some fans have no appreciation. I wish him nothing but the best and agree with his decision to leave celtic and have a stab at a higher level after winning the treble. Don't be so bitter. The moments he gave us. The 3-0 against the huns under the lights. Jota, Kyoto...
Can Ange be our manager forever, his style of football suits perfectly to dare us to do and his character and values are brilliant. Top top bloke, I think he’ll be successful with us if we have patience and give him enough time and support. Love Ange and love Spurs.
All these fans who are begging to go back to the park-the-bus, 10-0-0 styles of Mourinho and Conte have no idea what the Spurs way is. Like you said, the Spurs way is in the club motto.
I thought that.. I also think he is a proper winner, and when he does post match interviews post loss he is bottling up so much stuff he sorta doesn't say much.. haha
Any sit down interview like this or pre match press conference he likes can see doesn’t like having to give immediate view of a game when passion still running high so trying to contain his views
Happy to have Ange at the spurs, I’ve seen a lot of changes at he club, good and bad I have total confidence Ange can make us consistently competitive and has the know how to get us over the line and create a winning mentality The fans need to be patient as much as they are demanding C’mon you spurs !!
I predict that by Christmas 2025 Ange will have once again proved the doubters wrong. This is an entire rebuild. And harder to succeed in the Prem, so it takes time.
If Ange was manager for Man City they would be winning every game 7-2. His style of football is going to be something the premiership and world of football has never seen before. Another couple of transfer windows with Ange and the premier league winners won’t be winning games 3-0 like always been the case, they will be winning games 7-3. Spurs are going to win the premiership in 2 or 3 seasons times with the highest amount of goals ever scored by a premier league winning team - and the most ever conceded!
Talking a big game there mate 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 If this is the case why has no other top manager before in the history of the sport already tried it and done it?
His kids have a magnificent father with the vision of life and the way he always put himself in other peoples shoes but lets people learn and understanding. Amazing human being. Protect him
I perfectly agree with Ange, the arrogance by mostly fans and pundits in the premier league can be a bit too much, they get carried away sometimes saying o you can’t do this in this league, and we have seen in the past where clubs from other league la come and destroy an English side, I fully support Ange I don’t a manager that listen to the fans or do what others do I want Ange to do it his way
The total lack of self-awareness of the Premier League is summed up by Neville, Carragher et al throwing shade on the Tuchel appointment. They moan at the lack of the English coaches to manage England, but 100% they wouldn’t want an English coach to manage Liverpool/Man United if pressed and don’t promote these coaches at all week-to-week.
@@BurtGivensor and hear me out........... He feels more comfortable because they share w lot in common and they actually ask different questions not just the shitty old english questions 😱
If everyone was the same, the world would never move forward. It takes people like Ange, who believe in their vision, their ability, their approach to make a difference. All others who sit on their backside, influenced by everyone else, saying what to do, how to do it, will never understand.
big ups Ange Massive respect The attack play is so good to watch keep it up man Great football. Brighton game was a strange one tbh as manager that would be so frustrating.
He's spot on with the "pretentious and arrogance" comment. The reason the EPL is the best club comp in the world is because it has the wealth to buy the best players and coaches from abroad. It has little to do with the playing and coaching talent they produce themselves. How many club's best player is English? As for coaches, if reports are true, they can't even find an English coach for the national team.
Like him or hate him, I can agree with everything he says, I can understand what he wants and why he wants it. Do we have the right players to do it for him?
The question is will the club ever buy the right players to allow Ange to do a job. Evidence says no after seeing Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. This man is just another scapegoat manager being used to influence fans from Oceania.
Too many Spurs fans have no patience, he cleared out about 16 players, he has a lot of new players, many young and who are going to be class players. The fans wanted pretty football your getting it, but wait till after January see Joe the transfer market goes. This international break last year we were flying, then it went to crap. Hopeful this year it will go the other way.
That’s why English clubs have won 48 European trophies and Turkish clubs have won ONE! Yeah no difference 🤦🏻 You really haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about. There’s a whole universe of difference.
@@Porkcylinder Nonetheless, Like Ange said it doesn't put English fans in a special place (they certainly think they are). Football is still football in any country
@@anuj6936 firstly I never said it did put English fans ‘in a special place’ and neither in fact did Ange YOU did! despite the fact we take more fans abroad than any nation in history and bloody invented the game and secondly English club football is far superior to pretty much anywhere on earth backed up by the fact we’ve won infinitely more than 99% so don’t ’ none the less’ sunshine because you’re talk out of your arse.
@@anuj6936 so according to your broken brained ‘logic’ there’s no difference between the Faroe Islands and Argentina because’ football is football’ Yes and some are immensely superior like English club football. Sorry you’re so jealous you can’t admit it
There is something to be said for thinking you can rock up in the most competitive league in the world, surrounded by some of the greatest minds in the sport and not adjust even slightly because you've been successful in leagues which are very much not the Premier league. I like Ange a lot & if he wants to go out on his shield playing this way then fair play to him, but it'd be his ego and not what's best for the club. 🦅
I kinda suspect he’ll still receive a very warm welcome if he ever brought Spurs back to Celtic Park … you guys gonna cheer him on at Ibrox when Spurs take on Rangers? 😂
5 easy wins were never going to mean anything - media overhyped their performances. Brighton loss highlights we're they are actually at at the moment. Even in the first half where they "played so well" they could have conceded 2 or 3 goals. They're still in the same boat - their playstyle works against 90% of the teams but when theyre playing the top 10% every other week theyre going to get found out
I’m an Aussie Arsenal fan BUT Ange is SPECIAL. I think the spuds have a very special person looking after their first team. I wish them the best. But only to finish one place below the gunners.
Ange speaks in such a way that you want to listen to more of him. Wish I had more faith in his chances at spurs, but I suspect another managerial casualty at spurs is incoming
Ange speaks the language that lets face it, the average Spurs fan is not capable of grasping because its been so long being mediocre at best.. settling for new kits and the occasional decent passing through player has been the metric of success for them. Finally, us hardcore fans that refuse to accept losing, have a man speaking cultural change at the Lane. Lets hope his actions match his words because there is no alternative out there for us. We have the man for the job and thank God. Ange is our man.
When you consider how Ange wants his teams to play football and how Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United played their football you see more similarities in style. The difference is how football has evolved over 20 years. Regardless whether a team plays a high line or not it’s the positive risk taking style that Sir Alex and Ange have in common. It took Sir Alex about five years to get Utd. To make their mark. We should give Ange his time to get Spurs up there.
All the negative minded spurs fans need to stop , ange will bring trophies to tottenham. They need to be patient especially stell , and savva those guy hate at every chance!!
Yes and no - there's an arrogance about the Premier League, but then you're talking the league ranked 1st in the UEFA coefficient compared to his past experience with Scotland (ranked 17th) and unlikely the Japanese or Australian leagues would be in the top 15 nations in UEFA (if they could). There is a huge gulf in class between Europe's top 5 leagues and any he previously managed in.
I'm going to come back here to comment when Levy sacks him. It's going to age so well. The headlines will read that he ended up not being able to compromise his style when coming up against stronger opponents or when trying to see a game out. The league is over a hundred years old and we've seen this narrative before
It will be hard sacking him, Tottenham fans are happy with the brand of football, Ange says he doesn't want to spend alot on superstar players which makes Levy happy.
But the style of play has changed in those hundred yrs. Are the usual winners today more attack minded or bus drivers ? Getting pleasure out of someone losing a job , shows your mentality. And shows exactly what Ange said. There’s a pretentiousness about EPL fans. The usual “he can’t do that here it’s the premier league “ ., “this isn’t Scotland or Japan “. Spurs had Mourinho and Conte, two very pragmatic managers and where did that get them. The football was pretty much unwatchable.
Why are you playing background music....its soo off putting. Your even turning up the volume inbetween sentences. Can't watch the interview with all that going on.
He is a very hard man , fought to get where he has been and where he is going , the spurs squad are not a top squad a league winning squad , the club have a loosing mentality, he will change that
Key statement from Ange here “I just don’t think it’s a club that wants to win anything it wants to be a club that’s competing for everything” what does Ange mean by this? Is this outlining a change in expectations to what he mentions in previous interviews about him only wanting to win trophies and how he always wins in his second year? Too now only wanting to only compete for a champions league place and the last few knockout rounds of cups?
He doesn’t just want to a win a one off trophy and that’s it. He means Spurs should be like Liverpool/City and be in the mix for every comp, every season
Can you explain to us all how spurs can win anything without being competitive in everything,? What are we missing here mate? I'm starting to understand the spursy pathology. Seems you think you can win without first becoming competitive? Is that accurate?
Leicester won the league and thats it. It was great season for them but chances are they will not win it again for a long period. Real Madrid can have a bad season, without trophies but whenever you face them you are a bit scared, thats the difference. We dont want ro be a one hit wonder.
Doing it your way is fine, but you are going to need the very best players at your disposal, like a Pep Guardiola. Ange doesn't have that at Spurs. He probably will never have that at Spurs, as they lack the income from the Champions League that many other clubs he's competing with have. A big new stadium isn't enough, most clubs in the Premier League have that. His style is so ultra offensive that he asks his defenders to be the absolute best in the league at defending 1-on-1, whereas most other clubs demand their wide forwards help their full backs - Ange doesn't demand this from his wide forwards. Neither of his full backs in Porro or Udogie are great in 1v1 situations. Centre backs Romero and Van Der Wen have both looked really poor when put under pressure, while Vicario is unpredictable at the best of times. It seems highly probable that Ange's tenor will end because he placed too much faith in a system that relied on players that simply weren't good enough.
Smaller countries can make an impact if the rankings of nations are rendered equal ,in the picking of the 4 teams in each group at the very beginning of. Now that will be a World Cup to be remembered.I would suggest every nation gets a number, they become a lottery and the king ,Queen, prime minister ,President or whatever nation hosting the games ,pulls the balls out and decides the groups.Everything else after that remains the same. This lottery should take place exactly 7 days prior the first match.National teams can be selected at any time before this lottery.
This coming from a guy who said set pieces aren’t important when we beat them at their ground twice in 4 months by being good at…set pieces. He is by far the most arrogant of all the managers, no question about it, 10 points from the first 21 this season, 50 from the last 35 games, but everyone else is arrogant. Keep lapping up the adulation from home Ange, as someone who hates Spurs all I can say is, I’m entertained ‘mate’.
Ange really needs to use Subs sooner than waiting for last 10 mins of game. He got lot of young talent and he not using them as well as he could do. Love his style of play and his interviews but manager should be able to read game and make difficult choices when it needed to be done.
Most clueless football take ever. No team can manage a game to perfection in its entirety, otherwise there wouldn’t be huge upsets against some of the best teams in the world
@@bb5979 means to hold on to a lead and get to the end of the game and not fall apart. The big teams rarely fall apart like we did against Brighton. Clueless? maybe but i doubt any of the other armchair coaches here (me included) are fully clued up; what a crappy thing to say anyway using the anonymity of Social media eh
Ange is a decent bloke as well as a very good coach . Only thing I'd like to see , is a bit more pragmatism when it comes to defence. He was the same at Celtic and in Japan. Very successful, but the league's weren't as good as the premiership. Good luck with it big fella 👍. COYS.
Ange is 100% right in what he is saying in this interview about the arrogance in England. Spurs need to stick with this gem of a guy, he will deliver but you can't just expect him to do it in the 1st or 2nd year, he'll definitely deliver before 5 years at the club. Give the man time and your backing, been being there silverware 🍀🟩⬜🟧💚
@@BurtGivens what a ridiculous comment. And I suppose you deem yourself the opposite, whatever that is. Opinions are like assholes, including you; everyone has one. Yours is no more relevant than anyone else’s. But like you, others can share theirs, as they choose. Enjoy the rest of your self-centred, closed minded, life ☺️
I love Ange. But I think his stubbornness to play his way can be his strongest point and his weakness. There are times where we should be a bit more defensive and also mate you have to make subs earlier
The only time i've ever 'disagreed' with Ange is when some fans celebrated losing to City to spite Arsenal. I think that was a poor season and taking that silver lining in a low expectation season I see absolutely no problems with. If everyone has agreed to 'write-off' the season to rebuild the team and tactics then we can't tell everyone to be happy about it, no way. I wanted to win that game and that's the only time i've ever not 100% agreed with him or his methods/tactics, I love the all out attack, I love going for 3-4 instead of sitting on 2 (because guess what we've done that for 5 years before this and had worse outcomes) so let's not forget where we were literally a season or two ago and I absolutely will back him through any outcome, result or rebuild. I want him here for the next 10 years but I think given it's already had some rocky starts we may end up stupidly giving Levy a scapegoat yet again...
You spurs fans need to give him the time. You can see what hes done already. Hes moved your club already beyond teams like Chelsea and Man Utd in terms of style and purpose. Give him several seasons
The Irony of An-mate-ge saying everyone else is "arrogant".... his ego's gonna be his undoing. 'I play different to everyone else in the Prem mate' Maybe other teams play pragmatically cuz thats the wise thing to do....?!? Entertaining footy whilst loosing.... him and the Spurs fans are made for each other
an arrogant man who had very limited success in a sunday league side mentality in Australia, third tier in japan and scotland and will win nothing in the PL.
There is arrogance in the EPL no doubt. It is the best league in the world after all and the home of football. Aussies are forever being triggered by anything to do with England by their own insecurities and label whatever it may be as arrogant. It often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and works both ways.
