Yeah, the cards (aside from Azusa, which is obviously strong, but relatively low value), are just not worth it. I can't say I know much about HM, but I can tell by looking at the designs that it feels like they don't know the target audience or how to appeal to them. Just my two cents though.

It would be pretty cool if it was a guaranteed bonus card and not some kind of a chance card, you know? That would definitely make the value worth it.

@@LoveshackYT I don't remember if you included the snapcaster mage card in the 5 or not, but that card is actually one of the secret cards from the first set of miku . . . Also I'd like to say that you may not like the art for a card, but don't call it ai. We're lucky to have one of the few tcgs that actually pays artists to make the hundreds, sometimes thousands, of new printings every year. If I said your video sounding like something ChatGPT wrote, you would probably be highly offended. (To be clear, I'm not saying it was, its just an example of my point.)

I did include the Snapcaster in the video, but mentioned that I’m not sure where it’s going to show up. Some people thought it was a hidden card in the first one but there’s no confirmation of it yet. I’ve heard from a few people that it may be the winter bonus one (because of the ID number on it and how the number crunch lines up). Regarding the art, I simply stated that it looks akin to something AI would create, but in fairness I did say that just because I don’t like the art doesn’t mean the artist is bad. It just has a really weird aesthetic that doesn’t feel authentic to the HM art style at all

At the same time if my video was completely redundant and devoid of any real commentary to the point that it did sound auto generated, I’d appreciate that callout because it would suggest to me that I need to improve those things to improve the viewer experience.

@@LoveshackYT I see what you mean, I guess there's two sides to that coin as well. I actually really like the Miku sol ring because she's making the same face I make when I find it in my opening hand lol

Evidently Snapcaster was in the second one too, as multiple people have reported pulling one (with images). So idk what the deal is there. I do think these end up settling to a reasonable price, but I maintain that the cards chosen for reprint were underwhelming at best.

As a child of alara player (that couldn't get my hands on this secret lair because it sold out within hours of release) just know people are going to hate playing against your deck and that is perfectly fine 👍

@lishfice8031 I dont have a deck list, but I can tell you my strategy. I run all the gate cards, including mazes end for a win condition. All lands that enable me to tap sac the commander like High Market, Pyrexian Tower, Keldon Necropolis, etc. At least 10 instant speed black sac outlets that draw me cards or give me some value (diabolic intent, altars reap, corrupted conviction, deadly dispute, fanatical offerring), etc. There's a lot of these types of effects in black. This way, if someone tries to exile the baby, in response, you can have a benefit and board wipe. I run very few creatures, and most of the deck is lands. Key cards I run are Reshape the earth and Scapeshift. This wins you the game if you have ten or more lands with mazes end and deserted temple. You can run some counterspells, but I don't personally as I think it's brutal enough to constantly board wipe everyone. Another key card is Treasure Hunt . If you get lucky, you will draw your reliquary tower and then have 20+ cards in hand as my deck is 65% lands. Run ALOT of the best ramp spells in order to get your commander out as well. Getting it out as soon as possible is a sure-fire way to put yourself in a winning position. Hope this helps and I'd be more than willing to talk more in detail about any other questions you have

Side not I don't run very many artifacts as they will be destroyed. The only ones I would consider running is the indestructible ones like lotus ring, darksteel ingot, and skyclave relic. Ramp spells are your best friend, though ad your command tax gets pretty high later. Which is why a timely Command Beacon can be a life save. Another point I forgot to mention is that reanimate effects are great where your commander dies and comes back to life such as cards like undying evil, abnormal endurance, demonic endurance, unnatural stamina. This is a way to cheat around the expensively increasing commander tax
