I was expecting our MC to put up a fight, lose cleanly, and get humbled. I was not expecting great character development of a tragic character like Kame to understand what makes him tic.

➜ Speaks slowly but moves faster ➜ Beat the hell out of MC ➜ beats up his own team-mates for breaking the code of the gang and come back to fight the MC ➜ Still Makes everyone bad for him ➜ refuse to elaborate further and leaves 🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿

One of the coolest, most subtle details about Togame's fighting style that you will only get if you were paying close attention is that it changed from how he fought in the past. In the present, he is a grappler who is rushing in to create situations where he can use his strength to force his opponent to the ground. He mixes up his attack a bit with punches and kicks to throw his foe off, but ultimately everything tried to lead back to a take down. This wasn't how he fought in the flashback. In the flashback, Togame was fighting as a counter striker. He would wait for his opponent to make a move, and then he would use their over-extension to counterattack. After basically agreeing to be the bad guy modeling strength for Choji, he went from fighting re-actively to fighting actively. That is excellent storytelling via the fight choreography.

I did not expect that kame was such a good guy, just wow. This was so good, in so many ways so good. I NEED MORE

yeah they're adapting the manga really well, enhancing both emotional and action moments. Theyre not rushing through things so you can clearly see how each fight is some sort of communication, as umemiya said, and characters are developed through these fights (and backstories)

I love this character so much because of how oddly specific his situation is. I went through something similar in that I got super close with someone who was a best friend of mine for years. Then one day she switched up on me and I realized the things she said and did weren’t right (pulling power dynamics when I pushed back as well) but she had always been so kind before. It’s hard to let go of so many years of that kindness, I recognize now that I did a lot to protect her image because in my mind eventually she would snap out of it and everything would be fine again. (I didn’t want others to see her badly because then they wouldn’t understand/it would further solidify her actions) This character is the only one I’ve seen in any media express this type of dynamic that I went through beat for beat like this so I have an emotional bias towards him

I felt bad for him. But the Choji fight must be great the way they are building to it.

How many titles are going to be named NO F-ing WAY, start the video with Brandon off screen or they cant keep getting away with this? This season has been heavy. Like Brandon said in a previous video, Boss I'm Tired. That backstory is great. 10/10 episode

PEAK BREAKER! It definitely deserves that title after the last few episodes. Last week was emotional as hell with a wow to follow from Hiragi and Sako who is a close friend of his. But then this episode comes around... Togame is a classy guy. I thought he'd be a big villain type who was actually pulling things behind the scene and Choji was only a puppet but in reality he was the emotional puppet. He got too attached to Choji who is a psychopath. He thought power brought freedom yet when he got to the top, he was bored out of his mind because he didn't have anyone to fight anymore. So in turn, he wanted everyone else to get to his level and strip those who were unworthy of the gang's colours. Togame was only forcing himself to do the things he didn't want just so Choji can be the smiling kid. But in this fight, I think he realised just how broken this gang is with this philosophy. It seems like he stopped trying after he heard about what those two bums did with what happened with the middle school kid. He beat their asses and I thought he was only doing it to give Sakura a breather before I realised that be actually wants people to respect the gang code. There are two ways this can end either Sakura wins and Togame decides to change the philosophy of the gang with or without Choji or he outright quits... Or the second scenario is Togame wins and after the captains fight, if Choji loses, Togame can strip him of his uniform and make the gang his own in his way of thinking... I'm kinda leaning towards the second scenario. As much as I like Sakura... It would be a blow for him to take an L but it would be great for his character to show that he still has some ways to grow to become the top dog eventually and I think that'd be awesome to see. Either way... We fans are eating good. The fight choreography is insane... Honestly... They could've made the action unrealistic as hell and there are some elements where it could be seen as that as with Sakura literally getting face planted into the floor and you wonder how his nose is still attached to his face or secondly how did he survive that kick without having a few ribs broken... But like you said... The reaction from their bodies and VAs makes up for everything imo. I think this series is really standing strong... And right now I'm okay to admit that this is definitely better than Tokyo Revengers. It's actually a better series overall character wise and the emotional elements hit just a tad harder with how they're doing the back stories and the motivation behind every character. The OST is amazing... Solo Leveling had some top notch OSTa but this OST is up there for me. Clover works is knocking it out of the park with everything and even the animation which is definitely going to be better than TR. Yeah... I'm looking forward to seeing how this fight ends but I'm happy they're not rushing any of these fights. The only fight that was "fast" was the first one but that was a classic one punch beatdown. The rest of them deserved their own episodes and I can't wait to see how next week is gonna start and if we're going to see the two captains fight. Wind Breaker 🔥🔥🔥 I can already see it as one of the best for me of this year. Can't wait for more. Great video Brandon.

This was really another great fight. The dodges, punches and kicks and this great animation so clean and smooth peak fire. The backstory of Togama show us taht he was not always like this and the problem was Choji

Call me a traitor, but I really want to see Kame win this fight. Sakura is likeable and all, but I’m rooting for Kame. Hopefully the other leader’s viewpoint changes after this arc for Kame and the rest of the gang’s sake!

Honestly I am rooting for Kame to win as well! His backstory made me feel so sad for him 😭 He is such a nice guy! But I think Haruka will learn many things, if he loose 🤔 This episode' fight OST was another banger!

The second in charge reminds me of Kizaru from One Piece (glasses and facial structure) and the leader is a corrupted Luffy (freedom to the extreme). Was not expecting this dynamic in this episode. Not even gonna be mad if (when) the mc loses.

Was wondering why Choji looked weird in the flashback, realized it as soon as he took the jacket. Choji only had light in his eyes before, now they're just hollow and empty.

So shishitoren aren't the usual one dimensional "villains" damn. Gojo really wasn't joking about "talking with your fist", that fight really meant something and brough chara development through the fists 😎 i was excited to have Togame as an antagonist but now I'm even more excited about the built up of this whole story for the future, as its not only about winning a simple fight anymore. I'm ok if both Sakura or Togame win tbh, but at least I'm sure everyone watching the show and involved in its story can agree that it felt satisfying that the bad apples chasing a weak, youngeer and innocent guy for fun got their ass handed.... twice now since they lost their initial fights.

Based on what I saw, Kame is a sympathetic character. He deserves to win for his friend. But in this case, the ideology that he is upholding for his friend is totally wrong. So if he wins, it meant his friend’s ideology is right. And we all know that it was not. Why are those guys from Shishitori bullying people who were down in the first place? It’s because of the fact that his friend did it first. He basically beat a guy who was already down and had to be carried back to base in front of witnesses. No matter what Kame does afterwards, that initial impression Choji gave others is going to stay unconsciously, telling them it’s ok to beat up someone who was down. Even the tunnel scene, Kame was just doing that to a guy who was “sort of” down from getting beat up. So how can they up hold the group’s original ideology of fighting for absolute power when both leaders are doing such things in front of their followers? So it’s either a draw, or Sakura will win this fight. Thus imo Kame cannot win this fight.

for a series that's supposed to be "generic," it's a very enjoyable show. i do notice a couple cliches but they are executed perfectly. i absolutely love the characters in this. the animation being top tier is very welcomed to. that soundtrack as well. definitely top 5 from this season.

But maybe there's a third option, a double KO, by this Sakura realizes that still isn't strong enough, because the history just starts, and also Kame's morals go broke, letting the path open for the fight between the bosses 🤔 If that happens, I expect that Uemiya fix Choji's lost screws 🪛👊 xd

I find it sad that there are actually people out there complaining about Togame's and Choji's backstory. It's not even like it took the whole episode and it made sense within the flow of the story where it was placed. Honestly if you paid attention to context clues in the setting and subtle facial cues and moments from Togame, you would have been able to tell there was more to this guy than meets the eye and that the story was being set up to communicate to us what it was. I will take this way of communicating an antagonist's backstory over something like Demon Slayer which always feels content to throw in villain backstory right at the end, just to try and make you feel slightly bad/sympathetic for them.

I honestly don't know what I want to happen with this fight now. On the one hand I don't want Sakura to be the only Bofurin member to lose, it would be such a blow and he'd seem less capable than the others there. Sure they were fighting mooks but still to be the only Bofurin member to go down would just be devastating to him. Yes it might give him the desire to get stronger for a rematch but he already has the desire to take the top spot so he doesn't need a goal or reason. On the other hand if he wins after this then I really don't know how I'd feel either. Kame has a genuine reason to win that can have an impact so a victory for him is also good. Maybe the best thing would be for the fight to go on so long that neither side can effectively fight anymore and they call a "draw" by claiming that this fight won't ever end and that they will need to resolve it in future. That allows Sakura to have proven his mettle and humbled Kame while Kame can claim that he still didn't lose and reflect on the strength that he lacks to have made this a clean victory.

Won't Lie After this backstory im kinda rooting against sakura as well or a small part of me had an idea what if they had a conversation with their fist and he challenge Choji instead no idea what to expect now thou. but honestly kame supporter as well loved the episode.
