Our school is doing this, and I'm on props. I didn't try out to be an actor, but my friends told me I probably could have gotten Willy Wonka, and I'm Kinda regretting not trying out. But, props is really fun, and our Willy Wonka is really good, and she definitely fits the role very well
Oh man my school is performing this musical friday and saturday nights and a little seventh grade kid got the part of willy wonka, and she. is. FANTASTIC. It's crazy, she's so good! I got Mr. Salt, haha
At my local theatre we are doing Willy Wonka Junior!!!!!!!! This song is creepy as heck coz the guy that plays Wonka.... CRAZIEST MAN ALIVE!!! perfect to play Wonka!
This song is so freaking hard, and I'm doing Willy in a non-equity children's production of this. Thank you SSSOOO much for these videos, though! These are seriously holy grail videos for me, and now I can sing the song!!!!! :)
I’m in this musical (the full version, but no one has posted any of the music from the full version 😒) and I’m Mrs. Beauregarde and my daughter is older than me lol. My theatre company is for ages 8-18 and I beat out some 16-year-olds for this part being only 13 (12 during the auditions) and it just super fun! This scene is everyone’s favorite, I think, and our Pink Candy Boat is going to have a motor and move on its own!
We’re doing Willy Wonka and I have to be at the front of the boat (I’m one of the important Oompa Loompas) and this is my favorite song cuz the guy who plays Willy is an amazing singer- Also, the first time I was up there I didn’t know what to do and it was scary-
I was Matilda back when my high school did this in 2014. I filled in for a few characters during rehearsal when their original actors weren't there, though. I filled in for Mike Teavee once, I filled in for Veruca another time, filled in for Violet another time, filled in for Mrs. Gloop another time. I did also fill in for Charlie a few times, maybe two or three. I wish I could've filled in for Wonka once, but oh well. Anyway, I think once when I filled in for Violet, we were rehearsing the boat scene and we were going by where the curtains open. I look up and there's one of the directors just peeking their face out of the curtain and smiling. It was kinda terrifying, tbh.
THAT . Was so beyond AWESOME . I was thinking the whole time "You know who'd NAIL that song ? NEIL PATRICK HARRIS ." Come on , guys . You KNOW it's true .
