I ended up in a situation like this with a Vampire Counts campaign, and it was incredibly time-consuming to recover. Brettonia relentless from the west, Empire from the East, Dwarves from the Southeast, and Wood Elves from the Southwest. Repeated hell-battles, falling back to just the core provinces. By constantly winning battle after battle I was able to slowly retake settlements for no other purpose Han spreading corruption. Being VC in a losing war has its advantages because now my territory has so many battle sites I don’t need regular recruitment. I have four armies, only two of them with actual units and the rest skeles, who can slowly fight off but have to be careful not to fight multiple enemies. Eventually I got lucky and wiped out four Empire armies with Vlad’s actual good army, and take Altdorf. With the Empire stuck north of the river at least I have warning, even if I need to permanently have someone in two turns’ March of Altdorf. I have to relentlessly retake and relose level one settlements at Nuln and below to keep the dorf/elf armies busy with cities I can afford to lose and attrition on my side. For now all I can do is slowly, slowly get across Brettonia and crush it, to clean up one angle. At least then I can start going north with one army and clear some Empire forces. From there it’s just relentless Defense in the south until I can get the money for either a fifth army or to make one army quality. The worst part is just how rarely I can autoresolve. Doomed settlements I can let go, I can auto take small settlements, but every single army battle has to be manual. It makes the game so, so slow - especially considering literally the only thing keeping me in the game is the absurd power of Wind of Death, which autoresolve can’t account for. I don’t have to fully cheese, but having to manually fight every meaningful battle is tedious since I only have to do it to stop my forces taking absurd casualties, especially since for some reason Vamp post-battle replen is almost never better than 2% so I can’t even lightning strike multi-stacks without manual resolve.

The second and third towers in the first settlement defense-battle have their activation-zones switched as you noticed. It's a quite old bug that I have used to cheese skaven defense-battles often.

Just do another one Legend, you are SO going to cave in to the temptation. It sounded like you had a lot of fun in this one, and it was fun to watch.

Actually would really like you to continue this disaster campaign reminds me of the big Disaster Campaigns you did last year, I know Viewership dropped which is why you reduced but but would gladly watch this Saga continue, especially since its still pretty fucked (My intuition tells me there are more dwarf stacks on the way)

For some reason I am reminded of the Wood Elf Naggarond migration disaster that became a very long-standing and entertaining series.

The Ordertide is honestly making the ME campaign miserable for everyone, Order included...

Recently i had a similar thing happen to me Was playing as Fey Enchantress on very hard battle and campaign and couldnt get out of my starting province because i had to defend against basically all the high elve factions, ikit claw, the barrow legion, greenskinns in the mountains, pirates of sartosa and fellow bretonnians. Got sword of khaine eventually and that pretty much saved my campaign. But at some points it was really exhausting and down right frustrating but in the end it was one of the most intense campaigns ive ever played.

I really enjoy seeing someone very skilled at the game do this sort of desperate holdout

Reminds me of my last Settra campaign, turn 102 dwarves declared war and they had a military alliance with bretonnia Lutheran and the empire. Time for a new start

I had a similar situation playing as clan moulder. Empire sent all their stacks while I only had 4 settlements. I repelled the assault and then just snowballed to victory from there. It was that campaign that I learned the value of plague priest. Currently running a clan pestilens campaign and I have plague buildings everywhere. I can't remember the exact experience level, but I can take them all the way to Arcade Conduit + 1 on new recruits. Thats with maxing vermintide and plague.

dude... you're a goddamn wizard! I've been watching your "save my campaign" series and it's damn epic. I love this game. And i make none of the macro errors you commonly point out in this series. But i don't have anywhere near your level of knowledge in winning these seemingly "unwinnable" battles. Such great content.

a good cheese i like to do defending a settlement to delay the towers a little bit . is by spawning menace below in front of the tower and have them stand there . this only works when the tower is almost at the wall . it will bug out and get stuck in place . until another unit comes and fight the clanrats routing them just a couple of extra seconds might help destroy the tower just remember . the tower has to be almost at the wall .. otherwise it will just push them a side but when its almost at the wall it needs to deploy that bridge thing to connect to the wall . and if a unit i standing between it and the wall it bugs

All the smart decisions and decisionmaking process in one disaster, what more to expect. I guess situations like this are still bound to come since more new players are joining ^

This would be a really really nice livestream, salvaging the WORST of the disaster campaigns that take much longer than just an hour or two

Watching the the siege reminds me of my group of 5 Zombie Pirate Crew Handgunners, refusing to fire when the battle at first started, I would move and flank, they would turn to face the target, but never fire. Thankful my Queen Bess was following orders, Gunnery Wight kept feeding it ammo while my depth guard and promethiums held the line, with Scurvy Dogs tying up their ranged.

Total War Warhammer 2, where most disaster campaigns are of Evil factions because the Ordertide is real.

Dude how did I not realize if you have the winds for it just spamming summons with overwhelming firepower that doesn't care about friendly fire. No more worrying about stormvermin replenishment because the infantry are all summons if you do it right. Very cool to see

I was in a situation like this before as Vampire counts. Only the empire was veritably destroyed but the rest of order was coming for me with doom stacks, including the lizardmen. I had to massacre a ton of enemies by using ambushes and slowly creeping over the dwarf territory on the edge of the map. Eventually I beat the dwarfs while holding off the rest of the stacks via ambushes and I went on to win the campaign. Destroying the final high elf Lothern city was so memorable. It was one of the most intense games I ever played.

Do you feel that? From the north? The Order Tide... But what champion could have done this, unified these forces of good in the world? I AM SUPREME!

Ye seems like a good idea to get a military alliance with the one vampire coast faction that tour around the map and piss off every continent.

I was really cringing at the end of the first battle when there was an opportunity to wipe out a full health ironbreaker and hammerer using a warp bomb

I made the vampire coast into a vassel when playing vampire counts and everyone declared war on me once.

I had this problem multiple times. when i play as skryre around round 100 one order faction goes to war with me and all other ones just join. Then i get smashed from all sides.

Skaven and Dwaves allied, what kind of bullshit. That's why the Lorefull Diplomacy mod is essential for this game.

Fix: changing a code, to remove a bug, etc. DLC: Adding content, which can be code, models, skins, etc. and is usually charged for money Whose fault it is that companies care less and less about fixing their game, in exchange for dishing more and more DLC's? Ours (yes even mine). We have to be like, nope we are not buying more DLC's unless you fix your shajt. Also don't know why you should be surprised at 1:04:33 it has been proved in 1939 that cavalry is not good against firearms...

Seeing those armies with zero plague priests hurts my soul. Especially considering how good Vermintide is coupled with Menace from Below in holding back the enemy as you bombard them with artillery, poison wind mortars, and warplock jazzrails. Especially when the Plague Priest is the easiest hero to spam as the Skaven thanks to how common you get Bell Polishers.

I ran into a fun tower bug today myself where my towers continued to fire at the invading army even after they cap'd them

Mighty cheeselord u can be even cheesier with skaven garrisons when sallying out. U can always 100% wipe out enemy artillery before the siege if u corner camp with your main army and vanguard deploy your gutter runners behind the enemy lines. Using their stalk u can reach the isolated siege weapons and completely wipe them out easily. They usually rush some archer or gunner units there which can in turn be completely wiped out cause gutters are quite good in meele too.

The order is really unbalancedly overpowered. I have 1800 hrs in the game and i very rarely see the vampire counts or the orcs win over the dwarves or the empire

I think you definitely had the movement to sack an occupy. The reason it looked like you didn't is because attacking that exterior army brought you into the city's red Zone-of-control/reinforcement zone, and you can't pass through that zone of control or leave it, any way except the way you came, but it still shows you as being able to move to inside that weird barrier. After the sack, you'd have seen the full extent of remaining movement again. If you ever get stuck in sally-range and want to get out without a city fight, besiege the city and immediately break the siege. The animation should auto-push you out of reinforcement range. Another tactic I haven't seen you do is to try is to decline ambush on the army outside the walls and re-attack until you "fail" ambush. if you're stuck inside the zone, it uses very little movement points, and you can repeat as often as you want. You had a great army to cheese walls here with 4 million catapults, but sometimes it's better based on army comp to attack the lone general outside the walls (AI loves this for no good reason), and drag the garrison and occupying army into an open field battle.

Evry game i have same problem. When i play vampires counts in the end i fight empire, dwarfes, elves and bretonia. When im playing Mousillon, im wipeing bretonia, but still fight vs comined empire, dwarfes, elf forces. Playing orcs same, playing skavens, same, dread fleet, same. Dark elves, same, but here i control half map. Generally, most "evil races" games ends critical def until chaos comes.

More of these please . I much prefer Disaster campaigns to Disaster battles. :)

I got a camping on edge of a going south I don't need you save it but I want to know if this idea could help Basically my army at war Ally with vampires,Orcs,beastman,nordskins,Pirates to south my major threat is wood elves I can't take them out in one siege battle because arrows are hell storm So my idea is to nuke there forest with 1 soon spear under there trees (I know I can keep them back for enough turns I'm good at Max damage) do you think idea will work (already got 3 out 5 under city's set only want know if it would help me before I invested a time and resources into stupid idea) if got a idea to improve on this and get dwafts who maybe future problem down I love hear it I got around 19,800 gold and 2 army's guard each flank

I have un legendary campaign with Skarnik and until turn 110 Empire and dwarfs have been only in war with me and of course the shorty legal alliance with mors and then eshen... until recently It has been more exhausting than challenging. 1. Now the beastmen are a Kitten menace where are the 15 cygors stake of old? And where is the undying faction who always hid an army so you could never kill them!?!? 2. Chaos attack their potential allies insted of killing the empire. 3. Vampityfriends autosuicide, first Vlad and then Manfred who is now a defensive dwarf who doesnt do armys. 4. Armys with poor composition on range untis, artillery and heavy infantery are now auto-dead 100/100 of times.

Heh he did not even go with the upkeep cost reduction on his lord :D

So what's so good about plague priests as clan skryre? Aren't engineers more valuable with all the weapon teams? Legit question, I'm still learning, started an Ikit Claw campaign recently.
