early simpsons had a certain atmosphere to it in shots like this, i think its mostly caused by the duller colors, simpler backgrounds, and ambient noise.
I think the Simpsons also used a very peculiar color palate especially in the early seasons, lots of purple and pink not just in the sky but as colors for walls, cars etc
Define Early Installment Weirdness -- When Ralph was just another generic background kid before the writers decided to make him Chief Wiggum's kid, so they adjusted his IQ accordingly.
@@robertJ14 also back then it seemed they knew not to overdo it with the characters. One scene Ralph is doing something stupid but the next he’s a normal kid. Nowadays every character is running on a bank of gags that really don’t make them seem as multi-dimensional as characters anymore
There's a really great bit in one of the season 28 episodes where Mr. Burns visits Yale and is freaked out by SJWs. I saw it on youtube and I'm like "cool, I'll give that episode a try." Mistake. Those two minutes were the only good thing about the episode and I was quite disappointed.
Only in those very early seasons. They arguably took his stupidity to excess in later seasons, but at least we got “Super Nintendo Chalmers” out of it.
I'm not sure if you have it up, but I'd like to request the "Well, if I explain it to Marge that way..." bit from Homer's Barbershop Quartet, please. Thank you for all that you do!
And from this day forward Ralph wiggum will always tap into a weird spot in his head that is deeper than most people think IT REALLY WAS THERE IN THE OLDER SEASONS YOU JUST GOT TO LOOK HARD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!
i kinda wish that every few episodes they gave ralph a deep or philosophical line like this, i love ralph but he's a bit repetitive and i think thatd atleast add in something new
I wonder if he'll ever return? It's weird having followed him for years while his following grew very slowly, then he stopped uploading to focus on his other channel and his subs went up by ~4x while he's been away.
@@xiaolin867 well lisa goes gaga is just moderately bad. give ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WXF8hreM2Ls.html a watch for a more nuanced look on that particular episode.
I can't help but think Ralph is the Barry (from American Dad) of The Simpsons. Now that we know his mother's a master thief we know his genetics aren't *completely* fucked. >.>
