Economist have become partisans. Anything that increases costs for a business can cause inflation. This includes regulatory costs, tax increases, tariffs, energy costs, minimum wage laws and so on. An honest study is needed to understand the roots of this inflationary period and whether over regulation and other policy mistakes (aka mass relocation of illegals) by the Harris Administration was the cause of this painful period for Americans. Simply saying Tariffs will cause inflation is a ridiculously simplistic way of thinking about policy. Simply look at Jaime Diamond's recent comments about finally having had enough of the Harris Administrations nonsensical regulations and his new stance to fight them in court.
