There have been, and are now, so many great comedians that I truly enjoy. But if I were on a deserted Island and could only listen to recodings of one comedian, it would be Bill.
When i discovered Bill Burr..not literally. I found myself in someone else even though geographically and culturally we're miles apart. He verbalises what i think and feel in his unique way. Absolutely love the guy and have cried laughing at his way of seeing my world 😂😂😂
I like to call Burrs comedy style "raise and release" the tension. He just finds those hotbutton issues, forms a sonewhat unexpected nuanced take and delivers that as joke. Its beautiful to watch when every thing lands. True master of the art of stand up.
I think he’s mastered the art of telling edgy and topical jokes while not ACTUALLY being rude/offensive. It makes him likable. One of the things I respect most about his craft
Oh, he's deliberately offensive alright, heheh! 💪😎✌️ But because he argues his point brilliantly, and often shows that he *IS* just demonstrating the two-faced situations of society, it's difficult for a bunch of nobodies or worthless whiners to try taking a poke at the G.O.A.T. 🔥
I’ve been watching bill burr clips since 2015. This is a really well made tribute. I wish you had a clip from his interview with Jim Jeffries on CC, that interview is legendary 😂
I've been following Bill since I think 1992 93 94 95 something like that around there and he's been hysterical hilarious and he is like the greatest guy on on the earth that I say that I see I just give him mad props I'm 66 years old and he is like old school comedian but what modern s***
For me it's Burr, Katt Williams and Dave Chappelle in no particular order. This is not just my CURRENT top 3, but ALL TIME top 3 with a nod to Eddie Murphy, George Carlin and Patrice O'Neale. Yes, I saw Richard Pryor in his prime and he makes my top 10. This is my list.
Never mentioned his time on Chappell show early 2000’s which helped his acting and from what I recall he was also a writer on the show. One of my favorite skits was the Samual Jackson beer commercials with BB as an actor
He just recorded his newest special and he has said a few times that he believes it is his best special yet. If it's not, I think it's a great tell that he's past his best material.
Look, man- i love burr as much as the next guy but to make a video like this and never actually make the argument as to WHY we wont get another bill burr... not great. Bandwagoning a trend at its finest The content is good but the title is terrible
Thank god there will never be another Bill Burr - one of the unfunniest comedians ever : just saying things in a loud tone of voice doesn't make it funny .
Great video. One of Bald Billy's most iconic moments was his rant in Philly. The crowd was out of control and booing every comedian off of the stage. Bill walked up and gave them 10 minutes, never backing down.
@@treemanv2616 "Burrs popularity exploded after what has become known as the Philadelphia incident, where he mercilessly berated an audience and the city for their disorderly and rude behavior." Yeah you're right. That would totally get flagged.
He recognizes the absurdities of everyday life most of us never consider. The things that each of us finds familiar and commonplace can be a source of great comedy.
@needfoolthings Real comedy doesn't take itself seriously enough to consider itself an art form. What strikes us funny are the things we all relate to, familiarity, and commonly shared experience. The greats like Carlin or Norm McDonald knew that awkward moments made for great comedy. Burr understands that as well.
I was that kid that would do something that got me in trouble but I just admitted it 😂. The look on the teachers faces when they were expecting me to lie 😂😂
After Carlin it's Bill and to some extent Jon. Obviously none can be a GOAT like Carlin. This is the best we can get. And there will be another like him... hopefully.
He is funny but also depressing. Even though I've watched alot of his shit i prefer George Carlin. That guy could put a finger on things. But I am in awe and happy for him, no sweat.
Is Bill Burr the greatest of all time? Well when you got names like Carlin, Pryor and Chappelle you are in some rare air... but he belongs in that group, Bill earned his spot by being true to himself no matter what, and being funny as fuck
