What's worse is that the norwegian media defended her but demonized other, foreign athletes for doping. It is YOUR JOB as an athlete to quadruple check whatever medication, food or whatever it is for substances that isn't legal within your field, doesn't matter if the person who gave it to you has 30+ experience or not. It reminds me of the Lance Armstrong return to TdF in 2009. This is truly embarrassing, and humiliating for the other clean athletes in Norway. I felt so ashamed by the way Swedish media crawled in the mud, so extremely meek in their critics towards the Norwegian denials, and their trust in Johaug's explanation. Svt tried everything to avoid any form of questioning of how this actually was possible to happen. It was a farce, and remains an ugly stain on the Norwegian flag.

Dear Finns! Thanks for the video. But how do you feel as a finnish tax payer having doped athletes like Virpi Kuitunen and Pirjo Manninen Muranen commenting the sports on YLE with your paid taxes? Not counting Jarmo Punkkinen, the trainer of Kaisa Mäkärainen, sometimes commenting on YLE, while it has been proved he has organized the doping between Finland and Italia over the years. How do you feel paying taxes for these people commenting on the public tv YLE?
Hi Henry and thank you for the comment. I assume you are norwegian. If you are not, I will address this to them. We as a nation have carried the heavy burden of shame for many years. Soon after the doping scandal of Lahti 2001 we widely condemned the events. The national pressure was actually so hard, that it led olympic winner Mika Myllylä to eventually commit suicide in 2011. Our athletes have all now admitted cheating. We don't blame just the skiers, we blame the whole national system. Cheating is not part of our identity, we are honest folk. It was a national tragedy, but we also understand the circumstances that caused it. It had suddenly become impossible to compete against your clean idols from the fjord. I wonder why? I guess the porridge contains more oats there. We are going to plant a statue for Mika Myllylä. Do you know what we think about your opinion of that? We don't give a fuck about it. Swedish Mathias Fredriksson gave his humble opinion. He said that Myllylä was a cheater and we shouldn't give him a statue. Do you know what we say to Mathias? We say "Fuck you, you irrelevant ikea shit, we are gonna do it". We are now truly free to speak about those events and we have forgiven the athletes. Im norwegian myself. So... i do know that the subtitles is not what she's saying. And she's not lying. She did test positive, but she's innocent in this. Her doctor gave her madicine. NOT FOR HER ASS LIKE THE SUBTILES CLAIM, IT WAS FOR HER LIPS. She asked him if this medicine was on the doping list, and he answered no. So she chose to trust him. Cuz he's been working with this for 30 years. IT IS NOT HER FAULT! SHE DOES NOT DESERVE IT! She will come back and struck all of you down. HARD.
