Heya folks! Commissioner Here! Sometimes there are things that should exist, and this is one if those things. The other ideas I had for music mashups include Lupin III VS Spike Spiegel, Light Yagami VS Kira, and Mad Max VS The Mariner (Waterworld) However, mixing Ace Attorney's iconic soundtrack with the American Southwest of the Breaking Bad Universe was just too good to pass up, so I hope y'all enjoy! Let's get ready for a Legal Battle!

Call Phoenix if you ARENT guilty. Call Saul if you ARE guilty.

The fact that Saul actually has a shot at winning this is fucking hilarious

This fight could go two ways: 1- The two are in court of law, both have to convince the jury that the other is culprit. Both attorneys have to use both their skills, techniques and also the other's faulty history to showcase to the jury that the other is the true culprit of this case. 2- Both Saul and Wright literally start beating the shit out of one another in a court room. No gimmicks, no nothing, just straight up brawl. Both options seem incredibly amusing for me.

Shoutouts to matchups that don’t necessarily have to be related to fighting/seeing who’s stronger

Saul: Your honor, my client here was only trying to protect the victim. He may not have done it very ethically, but his motives were ultimately for a good cause. Phoenix: (Who in their right mind would believe this guy?! Sometimes I wonder what goes through his head.)

Wiz: Phoenix Wright, The Ace Attorney. Boomstick: And Saul Goodman, The Lawyer you Better Call. Wiz: Whenever a innocent victim needs to get out of his way to jail or a true criminal must be identified, who do we call? These Attorneys at Law. Boomstick: He’s Cadet Wiz and I’m Chief Boomstick. Wiz: Wait, why am I a cadet!? Boomstick: And it’s our jobs to analyze their pointing, suits and law degrees to find out who would win… a DEATH BATTLE. Wiz: Seriously! Why am I a cadet!?

If this was a court battle Phoenix would probably win. Saul’s entire thing is that he has to lie and cheat his way out of things, the very stuff Phoenix is adept at calling out. Plus he has a history of being in much wilder cases oftentimes pulling off insane last minute miracles to win the day.

Remember that case in the second game of Ace Attorney were Phoenix unveils the guys that scratches his face that he was the killer? Yeah, depending on Saul, he might just rolled with it lmao

I don't see this as a battle track, but a track you listen to while trying to decide which one of the two you want to be your lawyer. In which, the answer is what my friend said: If you're innocent, Phoenix. If you're guilty, you better call Saul.

God, this is such an amazing song and as a big Ace Attorney fan, I would have never guessed that their soundtrack would pair up so well with South Western Country Twang. Unfortunately never really watched Better Call Saul so not sure how great of a Lawyer he is but, I would still give this to my boy Phoenix. I consider him the absolute GOAT for gaming lawyers and just one of my personal favorite characters in gaming. With that said, I do have to wonder, where do you think Saul would be on the "Ladder vs Stepladder" debate?

*Objection ! DB-style tracks shouldn't be able to fit correctly in non-Death Battle scenarios !* And somehow this one actually works. It actually plays out like a trial scenario from both franchises would, and it does that really well. First we get Wright's intro at the beginning where I can just picture how he'd get ready for this trial, unknowing who his opponent would be. And then we get Saul's entrance at 0:17 that completely shifts the tone of the song to be much more western-y and energetic as he'd make quite an entry, Wright probably being dumbfounded at his opponent's entrance. Still, Wright isn't intimidated due to his experience with wacky individuals and takes back the spotlight, beginning fully the trial at 0:48 by interrupting Saul's charades. This segment lasts up to 1:11 where Saul finally gets back into the race and both him and Wright have a duet for a while where none have the advantage in the trial, their arguments weighing against one another as none can find a decisive evidence. This is of course until 1:39 where Saul gets what he believes is said piece of decisive evidence and presents it, all smug, to the judge to prove his argument and try to stomp out Wright's hopes of wining the trial for good. However Wright breaks this segment at 2:15 as he starts reflecting on this new evidence and slowly breaks it down as not valid somehow. Of course Saul tries to interject at 2:29 to avoid Wright breaking down his point of view but it doesn't work as Phoenix Wright pushes the matter at 2:42, the two dueting once again as they each give the best of one another to break the other's argument. Sadly for Saul Goodman, Wright manages to fully Corner him at 2:57-3:12, breaking down his entire argument as Wright's main theme plays and the Ace Attorney victory jingle begins playing, Wright being victorious but Saul still standing as, after all, this is but a single lost trial, not the end of his life. Hell, you could probably make a point that the two would actually shake hands and leave on friendly terms at the end of this trial, recognising the other lawyer's talents. I won't lie, when I first listened to this song, I was really sad that the Cornered segment only lasted around 15s. And to a certain extent, I still am. But still, it works wonderfully for the story-telling of the song. Makes its progression extremely fluid and easy to imagine the scenario of. Overall I'd say it's not the song I thought it'd be, but it's definitely the song that it needs to be. It's really good, has catchy bits and is just appreciable to listen to in general. Definitely something I'll listen to quite a bit. Amazing job as always.

Meanwhile… A really good lawyer who is blind waits in the hallway…

Ight imma do my best as a big fan of both series. 0:00 - 0:17: Starts off with Saul Goodman pacing in the Courtroom Lobby rehearsing his lines while mumbling next to a trial that's already started, with some occasional cuts to within the Courtroom in slight confusion as to why this Mr. "Saul Goodman" hasn't shown up yet, we cut back to Saul as he states to himself in a mirror with his palms open "It's Showtime". 0:18 - 0:49: Saul barges through the Courtroom doors and walks into the middle of the Courtroom, to the shock of everyone, to give a speech about why his client isn't guilty (Which in typical BCS fashion, Saul's client IS guilty), and that Phoenix's client is actually guilty. Saul having a way with words, charisma that rivals Miles Edgeworth, along with the unique amount of evidence and points for his case immediately has the Judge on his side. 0:50 - 1:11: Phoenix Wright stops Saul by shouting "HOLD IT!", which catches Saul (understandably) by surprise, as he then tries to make a joke out of Phoenix's unnecessarily loud shout, but to no avail as Phoenix cuts him off, questioning Saul's client testimony along with the evidence, Phoenix managing to even poke a hole in Saul's logic. 1:12 - 1:25: Saul interjects as him and Phoenix go back and forth in a game of wits, but in this game, the only one that isn't playing fair, is Saul Goodman. As Phoenix would dreadingly realize that he isn't going up against some Lawyer, he's going up against a CRIMINAL Lawyer that already had everything planned out before the trial even started! And with the type of charisma, and tactics Saul had. Phoenix needed to be extremely careful with this guy and NOT let him do whatever he wants, which leads to... 1:26 - 1:39: Phoenix takes control of the trial/battle between him and Saul, firing down Saul's points with his own of evidence that shows the contradiction in Saul's client "Finger"s testimony, and more flaws in Saul's logic, while getting around some of Saul's illegal tactics until... 1:40 - 2:00: Saul pulls a Slippin Jimmy and flips the whole case on its head in his complete favor through an illegal method not even Phoenix could figure out, leaving Phoenix in complete shock, then as Phoenix gets recomposed he thinks to himself "Y'know, me and this guy aren't too different in some area's, especially the way he thinks outside the box, just like me!" as Phoenix would give a confident smile towards Saul after that thought, which would make Saul uneasy, as he would think "Why the hell is this Attorney smiling? His case is over! His client is finished!" 2:01 - 2:14: Phoenix Wright begins to think outside the box too, to dig himself out of the hole Saul put him in. Much to Saul’s complete disbelief. 2:15 - 2:28: Saul during this time would regain his composure, and begin to rack his brain through anything he could pull off to win this case, with preparation he had, Saul does and- 2:29 - 2:44: Saul fights back, his Charisma brighter than ever as he deploys even more of his tactics, evidence, and rhetoric to off balance Phoenix again! 2:44 - 2:58: Phoenix doesn’t give up either, going back and forth with Mr.Goodman, blow for blow (metaphorically) until- 2:59 - 3:12: An “OBJECTION!” that could be heard from the heavens, rang out from Phoenix pointing to Saul, as by having enough time to think outside the box and by his experience as a Lawyer, Phoenix has completely figured out Saul and all his tactics, exposing every lie, illegal act, flaw in logic, testimony, and manipulation as much as he could. So much so that this completely put Saul on blast! 3:14 - 3:54: But Phoenix would be stopped short as the Judge would shout “ORDER IN THE COURT!”, while slamming his gavel multiple times, after that the Judge says that he’s ready to give his verdict on both Saul & Phoenix’s Clients. Phoenix has a dead serious glare as he’s sweating bullets, knowing he didn’t get to say or prove everything he wanted, no, NEEDED to. Praying that he won. Saul had a dead serious expression too, sweating bullets, praying that the judge didn’t see right through him & his clients BS. The Judge gives his verdict aaaaaaaannnnd… You decide who wins!!! ^-^

Therewolf did an amazing job with this, really matches the chiptune from the old Ace Attorney games, while maintaining the Saul Goodman feel to it. 2:57 , the part where 'Cornered' played, really felt Phoenix finally came up with a trial ending evidence after an extremely heated argument with Saul, it's pretty nostalgic.

Considering Saul managed to singlehandedly wipe out the armies of Dougkota, Phoenix doesn't have a chance

This was the most hype I've been since the 1st batch of tracks, and man as a huge Ace Attorney fan and currently watching Breaking Bad, this made me jump in joy!!

I wish there was at least a 2-episode series for Death Debates where its a battle of words than actions for Phoenix Wright vs. Saul Goodman and Reigen Arataka vs. Grunkle Stan.

I love this, and I can just easily imagine it as just one super intense court case and that's a back-and-forth I'd love to hear

A particularly delightful day to seek an attorney

For people who say that Saul has this, we have to recall the following: phoenix is more than capable of defeating him, not only that, but his observational skills are very powerful, as he was able to codeduct the fact there was machinery that were highly obstructed in a supposedly mediaeval town and that was with professor layton, but what about dealing with Saul's other personality, well his conviction is enough to dispell the wraith of someone who tried to frame him, plus he is able to hold his own some very powerful foes

Im imagining Saul defending someone (who is most definitely guilty) in court while Phoenix is trying to prove Saul's client is in fact guilty. Saul is good, but Phoenix is so good at his job he was literally PULLED THROUGH TIME to solve crimes in the past. Even then, Phoenix is not winning this easily.

I don't know where else to put this but I want to say: I have reason to believe Phoenix vs Saul could be the finale of season 10. Not only is the suit the only symbol left on the cipher wheel (if the current theories are to be believed), but this season has been full of battles that have played around with the usual format of the show: Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer had the combatants ask why they're fighting to begin with. Bill vs Discord had the loser screw the winner over massively. Scooby vs Courage had both fighters win with the death going to a third party. And those are just the examples that come to my mind. With that in mind, I can't think of a proper way to end a season that had this many experimental episodes than by having an episode set in court, ace attorney against criminal lawyer. Of course the finale would more than likely be something else but I'd like to think this could make a fantastic ending to a fantastic season. Also this song is a banger Post Finale reveal update: A man can still dream. Congrats to everyone who wanted Galactus vs Unicron!

I see this fight having Two rounds. The Investigation of the Case itself, Which showcases how the Two Work in order to get their Case. Phoenix working fairly, Alongside his Usual Gang of the Feys. (Or if this is Post AJ, The Feys, Apollo, and Cykes), To figure out what really happened, Heck I even see him using the Magatama on a few of the BCS/BB universe to get some serious info out on Saul or his Client. This could be risky though considering the type of people they are. Saul meanwhile, uses his dirty tactics to get himself into Better situations than Phoenix, and even gets a bunch of (false) alibis set up for his Client. Hell, I could see him Planting Forged Evidence solely to convict Phoenix and eliminate him from the case Early. If the two have a File on each other, Phoenix will that Saul is tricky, but not how tricky. While Saul will know Phoenix has a near flawless Record, but a Blemish in the form of losing his Job over faked evidence (even if it wasn't actually true) Overall, I feel Saul would be going into Court more prepared, but probably lose to Phoenix in Court due to how well he can convince people and figure out the Mystery.

In my opinion, luck can only get Phoenix so far. As far as I've seen the Ace Attorney series, Phoenix can't do everything alone. Saul's been doing a lot of footwork and there's no telling that Phoenix can actually see through the tricks of that of Saul's.
