I crochet while my partner plays hockey, and with the weather getting cooler the rink is freezing. I can't wait to make these to keep my hands warm while I work on projects while he plays!!

I did my own pattern which came out pretty good but took it apart. I did this pattern in a *single crochet instead and it came out super cute. It was so easy. It's my new favorite fingerless gloves pattern. I won't go back to my crazy pattern. Oh and using a stitch marker worked so perfectly. I thought I could do it without one. Nope. When I get the right yarn I'll do the thermal stitch which I found to be quite easy to do with a little practice. Thanks Sarah.

@Simply Sandy it's all about keeping a consistent tension. Practice, practice, practice. Tip.. pay close attention to how much slack is in the loop around your hook BEFORE starting a stitch. If it's the same everytime, you will get a more uniform stitch! :)

I haven’t seen the slip stitch used in this way before. Love the effect on the cuffs!

Hi gm. I'm new to your channel. I like your instructions. I have a question. Can this pattern be crochet as gloves?

Hi! Thanks for making this so easy. Wondering if the thermal works in the round? I have problems with seams and I’m not sure my hands would deal.

If your stitches are too tight, go a full hook size higher. Thermal stitch is very dense, even more so if you crochet with high tension.

Sarah, is there a way to add fingers to these gloves? Love your channel, have learned so much from you!❤

I’m sure that there is - it would take a bit of fiddling with it :)

Thank you! I've just about done with the first one... am planning on adding fingers to make gloves. Need a little help, please :) I tried to use the thermal stitch for the fingers, but the fabric becomes so thick and tight around the fingers. If I make the fingers wider, they kind of poke out like teddy bear arms. Lol Is there another stitch I can use? Any suggestions?

@@vbsandyvbsandy Did you try a slip stitch like the cuff? They'd be stretchy, but might be too airy also.

@RichTexturesCrochet

Unfortunately at this times I don’t have one with a larger hook using this stitch

Do you know of a thermal stitch slipper pattern? One that comes up over the ankle, not the "ballet slipper" style. I've searched high and low. I made up a pair just out of my head, but they're a bit dodgy, haha!
@ArDeeMee
@ArDeeMee 8 месяцев назад
Just use any kind of slipper pattern and adjust the stitch and row count. Either go by feel, or make a swatch.
@Snbbelle

My count is off working the thermal stitch rounds. Is the Ch 1 counted as a stitch at any point in the pattern?
@RichTexturesCrochet
@RichTexturesCrochet 2 года назад
The chain 1 does not count. Sometimes I found that the first st in each round (that you join in tends to hide, so make sure that you are not missing it. And then when you turn your work, make sure that you are working into that first st

Use a stitch marker for the first stitch on each side/row. It makes life so much easier.
