I have never found an ant colony using thermal, it would be possible but there are probably easier ways to deal withthe ants. A bait for example or a liquid like indoxicarb that can be inadvertantly picked up by the ants and taken tothe nest ending in its destruction.
@@PestgoLivePestFree I'm already "feeding" them with all kinds of poison, etc for weeks now. The caravan is under complete lockdown(poison, foam, spray make it impossible for them to get in or out), but they dont surrender.
Almost any thermal camera will be able to locate a nest internally. It will get tricky trying to locate small amounts of activity. I am not familiar with the Flir i 7
@@PestgoLivePestFree , I am working in a Tea Garden. We find termite queen under 4-7 feet deep under the soil. These queen are very bad for tea plant for a long time. Therefore, do you think your device can work under 4-7 feet deep or any other handy device ?
@@kaziehteshamurrashid5098 the entire colony would not be found that deep with thermal imaging. I would think that trying a bait product would be a good low toxic start
