yes, this can be disabled by setting it to emergency mode which drains the battery, my SOP for it was to engage the rubber actuator with my thumb while I lift my NVGs and shoulder the weapon, doing so allows the optic time to start the screen and be ready to fire by the time I put my eye to it
@@soldierssoldiers4179 yes there are an other operating mode called emergency over ride mode.when you press G/B and W/B keys at a time for 5 seconds this mode active,your display on continuously without pressing eyecup.
