Our respectful salute 🫡 to each of these Skilled group of Railway Workers who are the Substratums for our Train (Rail) Journey. We owe our safety of travel not only for this type of excellent track's Thermite Welding, but, continuously checking & maintaining the track journey is worthy. Thanks to Railway Board, all the officials from A to Z & of course the The Railway Minister & Pradhan Sevak too. ❤️🌹💐☺️🇮🇳🫡🙏
I have seen thermite welding of rail tracks during 1974-75 period at my home town CHENGANNUR while converting metre gauge to broad gauge in the Trivandrum - Ernakulam stretch. But all the works were done manually those days. It is first time that I see a video of mechanically assisted thermite welding of rail tracks. A very good informative video for those interested. Hats off to the uploader as well as the welding team.
Indian Railway is lifeline for the majority people. Role of the skilled welder very much important in safe n smooth journey of railways. I give my salute in honour to my respected welder
buddy heads off 😁😁 you are very ( claver )👌..... Edit= I have used claver instead of clever and i did that intentionally for sarcasm and this edit is for those dmaas people who think they are the most educated and they have a lot knowledge then other and they can teach anyone ( which is their self convincing method to stay calm bcus other people don't give them a single f.) So this edit is for those smartass people.. and i wanna give special credit for this criteria Mr. @wataweep he is one of them and he is the main reason why I edited my comment...you'll find him just scroll down !
But why aren't they wearing safety equipment like gloves helmet goggles and appropriate tools for removing molten material instead of pliers as used by gentleman in the video?
1st time watching this.Hats off to one &all for this excellent &Hercilious task. We must be greatful to one &all.how much hardwork&pain is behind this.congrates to one &all
I read during college days about thermit welding and its use in railway track joining. After nearly two decades I saw a practical video on it. Its such a nice video watching some basic principles of metallurgy in work. Reduction of iron oxide with aluminium powder and the exothermic heat melts the iron which fills the join.
We are travelling safe and happy journey by the hard ana dedicated working people like this. Million times thanks to them. God bless you. He will give good health and wealth.
Nice video . Apart from the welding itself which was cool , I also think of the engineering skills of the people that design and build the equipment to make it happen. Its anazing to see what the human mind is capable to create for good.
Great video. Bt the worker safety conditions are bad. They don't have eye protection, hand gloves etc. Govt should spend some money for this necessary items .
A Special video rarely seen in welding. They should show the video till end, after welding but in the mean time advt photos have come. Great skill job.

In Europe during thermite welding on railways track workers using safety clothes, hand gloves 🧤 etc while doing this, but in our country they don't wear any safety equipment while working.
@@studystars3821 no they all use safety equipment, gloves, boots, high vis jackets etc. Western countries are very particular about safety of their workers. You should learn….
Quite interesting to watch...Was always wondering how this welding is done at site. finally seen it.. Great job by I.Rlys.👌👍👏...i feel proud being a Railway man's son.
I happened to come to this video from an earlier video I watched on Thermite welding. Though I like this video, 1st thing that struck me watching this is that workers were not using gloves. Don't know if this is the issue with weather (sweltering hot & humid), but still think using heavy gloves will help from safety perspective not create problem. I still remember, my father told me - 1st thing he did when he had to manage a defunct factory & restart production - of a famous household cleaning and cloth whitening chemical factory. He Helped workers by giving them gloves, because the chemicals used to make workers (mostly women) sick & they couldn't eat food properly for days due to smell of it that gets absorbed under skin.
@@danielsalas3314 It's okay, it may be irrelevant for you. I didn't know you existed, to make the comment relevant for you. 😛😛 And ofcourse your comment is definitely irrelevant. 🤪🤪
No employees using personal safety equipment. No glasses, no gloves, no leg protection. Working with molten metal without proper precautions. It seems to me that India has a lot to evolve in terms of work safety and respect for the human being of the worker.
The thermite welding of the rails in situ has been shown which gives an idea for a lay man. The cutting of slag and extra metal Over the rail head and sides has not been shown by which the vedio is only half and create doubts in the minds of the laymen as to how the train can b allowed. However good efforts have been taken to educate the people with regards to rail welding
Excellent welding work. Good information for engineering students. India Railways is a miracle and symbol of national unity and pride. All this is made possible because of these workers and full team whose names may not have been inscribed near any railway station. Such nameless workers have made India what we see today. All the users of Indian Railways must salute such teams and wish them safety, security, health and well being. Good roads and good ,safe well welded failsafe railway tracks are extremely important for prosperity of our country. Till some new technology comes in use I hope this may continue and it's good demo of exothermic bimetallic reaction in action.
