I was wondering if I could melt butter in a pan using luke warm water, a heat sink, a TEC (thermoelectric coupler), and a pan.
Setup:
12 V power supply (this particular one is capable of 30 A at 12 V.
TEC1-12006 (hackerstore.be/PDFs/TEC1-12706.pdf)

1) is it ok to connect 12v/40A power supply with TEC1-12706 peltier module (12v/6A/60W)? 2) should i connect 5 peltier module parellel with same power supply?

1) Yes. The 40 A spec on the power supply is the maximum current that it can put out. Electric devices will only draw the current they need (6 A for the peltier module you stated). However, something on the module spec doesn't seems right. Power (W) = voltage (V) x current (I). If the current is correct, then the power would be 72 W. 2) It depends what you want to accomplish. The 40 A power supply won't have a problem with it (5 devices x 6 amps per device = 30 amps needed).
