I would love to see how they do this with modern jet fighter canopies. They are multi laminated yet must be optocally perfect while being opeque to radio and radar waves. They are also deceptively thick and heavy though they don't look it. An F-16 canopy fully assembled is quite heavy.
last time I was watching something like this, it was a making of of a Messerschmitt cabin scooter 'glass top'. Some ppl call it a sky stop, how ever they call it, its a cool thing to watch. Nearly every geometry is possible.
I wonder how they avoid creating air bubbles inside the polycarbonate since it's hydroscopic unlike acrylic plastic which is not hydroscopic? Apparently it's very difficult to remove water molecules from inside polycarbonate unless you have a commercial plastics dryer heater.
