You're the man. Thank you! I think the tech changed 340 to 0 and my bill has been going up since. I switched it to 2 to not engage the furnace right away.

Thank you for letting me know. I know I'm walking on thin ice divulging such information 😃. This is only supposed to be used by technicians but with caution even homeowners can play with those settings. I would warn you against the biggest risk which could be equipment damage or causing unnecessary service calls which as a homeowner you will have to pay for. But if nothing goes wrong then there's nothing to worry about.

I still can’t get my T6 pro smart working. The ac seems like it’s “cold” air, but it never gets cold enough as set and the fan turns on forever. I think my ISU isn’t correct.

That's very likely. If you're in our market we are happy to come out and take a look at it for you. You may need to call a local HVAC professional to help you further with this. You can also give us a call or a text that our office line and see if one of our techs can help you. 360-398-9400

Thanks for the video. My dual heat pump and gas setup is set for the heat pump to come on at 13°C. However I would like it to come on at 8°C. How do I change that? Thanks
@cleanairheatingcooling4105
@cleanairheatingcooling4105 10 месяцев назад
You would change that from the menu I've shown in the video. Do you have this exact thermostat or a different one?

Great video! I have a Honeywell thermostat, gas furnace for baseboard hot water. I feel like my heat pump runs a lot when the temp outside is 35-45. And, the cold air seems to be falling from my vents. I want to close the vents to minimize the cooling affect and run rhe gas boiler at a higher temperature, say 40, instead of 35. Not which setting I can adjust to accommodate the change. @ 12:00 into the video I think you are talking about these settings. Is it your experience that I need a PIN to get into these settings to tweak them?
@cleanairheatingcooling4105
@cleanairheatingcooling4105 9 месяцев назад
Correct. Most thermostats will have a secret way to get into the installer options. I don't recommend to do this yourself. Bestbis to hire a reputable and skilled company and have their service tech do this. However if you make any of these changes yourself you may be successful. I don't advise it though because certain settings can cause equipment damage, higher utility bills or other frustrations. The video is mostly intended for HVAC techs.

Just a quick question, if you don't mind. I just got a heat pump and this is my first winter storm. Ice pellets, snow, rain, very windy, and the outdoor unit is in a location where the wind swirls around. The ice built up on it last night so I just turned it off and went back to my normal heat for now. I know it needs a cover of some kind but do you think it would cause problems to be leaving it turned off for long periods while the storm blows over?
@cleanairheatingcooling4105
@cleanairheatingcooling4105 Год назад
It’s ok to leave the heat pump off for several weeks at a time.

A cover. ?? Why would you put a cover on a heat pump.
@booswalia
@booswalia 10 месяцев назад
So the ice doesn't build up on it and damage it like it was the day I made the comment. @@kevinpearce3281

@@kevinpearce3281 good point. If you get a heat pump you would want to use it in the winter. If you have an ac it would make more sense to cover it up. The only detriment of covering the heat pump would be the higher cost utility bill if the back up heat costs more to operate during that time. But if the heat pump isn’t efficient during those weather events, it wouldn’t hurt to have it turned off. This varies from case to case and also depends on home owners preference.

Thanks for the video. I have a modulating heat pump and a variable speed furnace with a T10 stat. These are not option when setting up the heat and cool stages in the ISU. Only 0,1, and 2 for both heat and cool. What should they be set to for my equipment? And does it make a difference?
@cleanairheatingcooling4105
@cleanairheatingcooling4105 Год назад
Excellent question! It does make a difference in this case your system may modulate based on time or rather than being fully modulating it might work in five stages or something like that. It depends on the equipment that you have the manufacturer and what they recommend. Typically when you use a two-stage thermostat with modulating furnace or HP you have to go on the board of your equipment to tell it how to react to inputs from W1 and W2, Y1 and Y2.

Hi. I did try to replace my old style stat with a T4. But for what ever reason. My electric furnace would run constantly. I had it wired the same as my old stat and had fan setting to Auto?

Quick question.. I was working on a heat pump and with 2 stage heat and 1 stage cool.. The question is when I bumped up my thermostat from 73 to 75 or 77 my back up heat didnt kick on so it can heat up the house quicker.. the electric heat strips were only activated only on emergency heat . Is that correct
@cleanairheatingcooling4105
@cleanairheatingcooling4105 7 месяцев назад
That is possible. It depends how it’s set up. If you use an indoor temp differential to trigger the back up heat then you have to see what it’s set for. You can use time, temp or OD temp. Let me know of this helps or if you have further clarifying questions. 👍
