If you wanna take the exercise in Joker And The Thief to the next level, play That And Justice For All riff from the chorus, helps with coordination, cleanliness and speed And after that, play Am I Evil intro legato, that's what you can call a stretch After that *i think* you unlock the ability to fret 1st and 7th fret at the same time
There's also some Petrucci exercises for stretching fingers that are just complete insanity. I remember watching the first minutes of that Petrucci course and throwing away my guitar 2 secs after 😂 It's called Rock Discipline if you wanna check that out 🤘🏻
I've noticed a lot of people play this riff very differently, I play it with a slide myself where he hammers on, I agree it sounds like an 8th note behind when he played it but it still works
Yeah I get what you mean. I went back and listen to it carefully and every last hammer-on basically should be an 8th earlier. I have no idea why I play it like this. I probably learned this years ago and it stuck with me since 😂 Sorry for that!
Thanks for the video! I'll definitely be playing the Halestorm, Chic and Petrucci riffs more often after watching this. One advanced riff that helped me improve my playing a lot was Goose by Polyphia. It's not easy, but it's a song with great riffs to start with if you want to get into that kind of playing.
Definitely happy to see Halestorm mentioned on this list, Love Bites has always been one of my favourite songs by them and that bridge riff is absolute insanity. Also, you didn't mention it but Joker & the Thief is also good for getting a feel for triplets
Hey man sick guitar! Hopefully getting a Schecter c6 elite myself. Still starting out in my guitar career, 6 months in! You were a huge inspiration man, rock on Danilo!
Thank you so much!🙏🏻 For being just 6 months in you are already getting a great guitar! It Took me more than a year to get my first used epiphone les paul years ago hahah Congrats. 🎊
Just wanna say I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while and I absolutely love your channel, the first video I watched was you’re beat it solo and I’ve been trying to learn it for so long but you do everything so effortlessly. Man I watched that beat it solo about 400 times lol that day. Keep up the great work man, one day I hope to get to your level 🤟
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate it! You mean the honeyburst Les Paul? My goldtop has no signatures on it! 😁 the one you are probably referring to is signed by Slash, I met him in 2014 🤘🏻
I noticed that Ferrari! Pronto S🅱️innoto my friend, lets see what fred will be able to do next year, I really hope Ferrari will be able to properly fight Red Bull so we will have an exciting season like 2021 was
Ciao Danilo, complimenti per il video e grazie per avermi fatto scoprire questa chitarra davvero molto interessante. Spero di vederla più spesso nei prossimi video
good list. I would maybe add Marigold by Periphery since it will introduce people to weird time signatures (7/8) and its good for alternate picking plus good finger exercise
@@DaniloVicari Idk, I found Marigold to be much easier to "learn" than Glasgow Kiss, but the timing made it much harder to properly play than Glasgow Kiss haha.
Jason Vorhees is along for the ride! Danilo, would you please give the weight of the guitar you are advertising? I have a neck injury and I am looking for a lightweight guitar. Thank you very much.
Hey Danilo could you do a snow hey oh cover because I swear it’s the only rift I can’t play on guitar and other tutorials on RU-vid don’t help and not even my guitar teacher can play it so would you consider this ideas
NGL, that headless looks sick. Also if you really want to take the muting tto the next level from the Kids arent allright, check out Forever by Skid row. You chug F#, G#, A and B while playing a Bsus4 double stop on the G and B strings. Gotta mute with both hands to do all that. Also, you can interchange Seek and Destroy with 2 minutes to midnight, basically the same idea but with doublestops. And I've been practicing message in a bottle the last few weeks. It's not super hard but the transition from F# back to the C# messes me up 😂 And up to tempo. I guess I play with too much gain. Wait, you said Nile captures the essence of funk? Man, with that riff Nile SHOWED THE ENTIRE WORLD how to play funk for the rest of their lives 😂
I know it might be a funny question, but can you tell what is your chair's brand? I'm looking for a chair that you can change the arms rest angle (so useful for a guitar player)
Here's the guitar tunings for the songs mentioned: Brown Sugar: Open G Tuning Joker and The Thief: Drop D (Recommended for Authenticity of the Master Recording) or E Standard Don't Cry: E Flat Tuning The Kids Aren't All Right: E Standard Seek And Destroy: E Standard Message In a Bottle: E Standard Love Bites (So Do I): Drop D Le Freak: E Standard Rebel Yell: E standard Glasgow Kiss: E Standard Hopefully that Helps!
Absolutely amazing video. And so so useful. I will certainly be working my way through this. Thanks so much for sharing. Ps just seen Halestorm who were supporting Alter Bridge 🤘🤘🤘 and have also bought a GTRS S800 👍👍👍😎
Fanned fret means you have different scale lengths on the neck, longer for the base and shorter for the treble side, has nothing to do with "perfect intonation", that would be true temperament frets.
