The first thing I noticed from the first trailer are the animations, they feel really Super Mario World like in my opinion, down to the descending part of a jump that makes Mario's cap slightly off his head (I always loved that a lot)
The fact that throwing shells upward was gone for so long to begin with baffles me . Overall, this game is looking to feel as creative, and fresh as when Super Mario World first released! Can't wait to play!
@@rpizzaspaghetti2718 you just press down to charge the jump until the character starts to flash and the next jump is going to be higher, I can't remember if you could still walk or run while flashing
@@Survwithagun it’s not a badge, you do have p speed in the regular game you just never need it, think of that little speed boost you get after running for a second, that’s p speed. I’ve 100% the game 4 times
@@ShaggyGaming69 I meant that U has an interconnected world map. Like how mario world did. You can see the ENTIRE map in one screen like how you see the ENTIRE map of dinosaurs land in mario world.
Yes, also, Yoshi design here is definitely better, WHY, because in NSMBWii and NSMBU Yoshi looks like a literal dinosaur the way he stands, unlike wonder, where is more like Mario World and some spinoffs
The crouching high-jump was is Super Mario 3D land, 3D world and obviously Bowser's fury And the P speed is just the top speed, which has been in every 2D Mario game
I love seeing speculations from the past. For those who dont know yet, the crouching high jump and "p-speed" are both badges, and the p-speed badge also FORCES you to constantly run.
Super Mario 64 DS was an amazing game, I loved it so much. I spent so much time just on the starting screen playing with drawing version of Mario’s face

@@scanchannel3259 No, don't let that be a thing worldwide of course, just let that be a thing among online lobbies With Friends and local multiplayer of course when it comes to throwing people around, another thing I hope is that player Shadows is just ONE of the online modes and not the entirety of online, I don't like the concept of friends in lobbies and worldwide being transparent if you know what I mean, and it seems the only way to get around that is to be in person to do couch Co-op or local co-op over the internet via parsec through Titan console tuner unless that's just again one of the modes which I hope
There is also something that returns, in the Original Super Mario Bros there was a glitch that allowed you to "wall jump" by jumping on the tiniest hitbox of the block. This is used as a badge in Mario Wonder.
I feel like Super Mario World has the best 2D Mario physics ever, if you combined it with Mario Bros 2 by being able to pick enemies or stuff up or out of ground, and Peach floating and diverse physics for different characters, it'd be near perfect
Now as far as P speed goes, though Mario couldn’t fly, Mario does run with his arms open as if he could in a few games such as Mario Galaxy, Mario Odyssey and another one that slips my mind.
Okay I find it really odd how kicking shells upwards was just exclusive to one game for so long. I mean it was such a simple thing why would that be done like that?
I’m pretty sure the crouch jump has still been a thing for a while. It’s a backflip. It’s *almost* the same as the U-jump, or whatever it’s called when you immediately turn around & jump.
I remember my Dad teaching me how to play Mario Bros 2 but when we did the crouch thing it was glitched out and it had a weird effect with green and white and other colors, and it didn’t blink on and off, it was permanent until you actually jumped. I thought it was supposed to look like that until now
