@@valerie4912 Im sadly addicted to nicotine too but im Swedish so i use Swedish snus which is a smokeless tobacco product. I quit for 7 months and then i was out drinking and decided to take one because of my drunken stupidity. That was 2 years ago and im struggling to quit once more.
Exactly If you have never smoked or vaped then DONT start but if I smoked 37 years and I haven't had a cigarette in 2weeks and started vaping and feel so much healthier already .It's a life saver for me

After 22 years smoking cigarettes i quit smoking in 6 weeks using vape. Haven't smoked in 7 years. Vaped for 2 years, slowing reducing Nic level. Vaping has saved lives helping smokers quit cigs.
@@Trapz4Sure Vaping has virtually no negative affects. It has existed since the 80's, and has caused 0 deaths, 0 cancers, has been extensively studied and they've found nothing. The only negative issues are with black market liquids that contain things they shouldn't, and black market vapes that contain things they shouldn't. You could just Google it, the ones petitioning against vaping are ironically the ones being paid off by vape companies. Disposable vapes are where the danger lies, though only because they use salt nicotine at 20mg, salt nicotine is very, very difficult to feel and doesn't produce the same affects, so people get extremely addicted very quickly, and those are the ones pushed by tobacco companies, but actual vapes use less than 6mg nicotine and are used by people to quit.
I can’t lie I’ve been vaping for years after smoking over 4 packs of cigarettes a day I know it’s a lot but I am not lying expensive as well! Now I have asthma bad to the point it’s hard to take a breath sometimes but I am still very addicted to nicotine in choice I choose vaping but the smell of tobacco is enough sometimes to get me to smoke a couple or so cigarettes. Please kids don’t smoke or vape all you will have is less opportunity’s for sports and ruin your chances at many other things, also your parents won’t be happy respect them!
Smoking is diff from vape, vape = SPEEDRUN to bad lung health. People who vape run through them + they’re HEATING UP chemicals that are already ass. Both = 💩 but one gets you there faster
Thank you, Dr Youn 💙 Everything he says is true, guys and gals. I first tried smoking at 12 and was a regular smoker by 16 (my mom actually bought my cigarettes). Now I'm 42, have failed multiple times at quitting, any light physical anything makes it hard for me to breathe. I want to quit but after this long you know what happens? You actually ENJOY smoking. If I could talk to my 12 year old self, I would say, "Never try that first cigarette, and don't pick up the drugs." My life could've been so much better :(
I started smoking at 12 and smoked for 9 years. It bothered me so much thay I had such a commitment to something that was killing me. By the grace of God it's been 3 years since I've had a cigarette 😭😭💞

If I'm at the bus stop, I will ask anyone sitting there, "is this going to bother you?" while showing them my cigarette; and if anyone says yes, I step away. I am a grown adult and will make the decision to quit when I'm ready. This is part of the reason smokers/non smokers have such problems with each other.. most non smokers get WAY too offended and want to rattle on and on about how we're harming ourselves, others (you definitely emphasize others) and the planet. I'm a smoker but I smoke outside because yes, it stinks! Both of us like leaving our doors/windows open when the weather is nice. I started noticing pretty quickly that every time I would step outside I could hear their door shut. I immediately felt really bad but didn't know how to talk to them (I can be very shy). So I started timing my cigarettes with when I would take the trash out, get the mail etc. Recently, with the help of another neighbor, I told them I noticed they would shut their door etc and that I felt bad. They explained to me they both had bad asthma. So I asked them if they would prefer if I smoke elsewhere. They said there was really no where else to go and that it was fine, etc. But even though they said it was fine, when I know they're home I will go sit on a rock by the sidewalk or something when I want a cigarette. :) I hope in the future other smokers are as kind to you. I'm currently on methadone (liquid handcuffs) to curb my 23 year long IV heroin addiction, and I was prescribed valium 15 years ago for back spasms and now I cannot get off it. The withdrawal is horrendous I can't even describe it. But like I said to someone else, most of these were my choices so I now have to work with the consequences. And I'm most definitely not a sheep, my eyes (all three) are WIDE open. I'll quit eventually when I'm more stable with sobriety etc. Thanks for taking the time to comment all that :)
Vaping helped me quit smoking cigarettes 😭😭😭 When I switched from cigarettes to vaping, my lungs cleared up, no more phlegm, I didn’t have to used my inhaler anymore, the pinkness in gums returned, among many other things that returned to normal after I quit ciggs. I do plan on quitting vaping soon though 🙌
Guys if your underage don't vape, if your an ex-smoker or smoke strong vapes remember that vaping isn't the end of the world, but not starting is the best rule.

My grandfather had been chewing tobacco since he was a boy. Then went to cigarettes as he got older. His body slowly degenerated over years. First, he had trouble breathing, then got an oxygen tank. After that, he couldn't move from the house and had breathing treatments 3x a day. Slowly he couldn't move and had to be bathed, fed, and changed by others. It took an active man 12-13 years to slowly die. It was horrible.
@@petesahad3028 It's not. It's about the connection though. Their grandfather went from chewing tobacco to cigarettes. As someone could go from vaping to cigarettes. Which I think was the point of them sharing the story because having your health decline like that is awful if you wish to live a healthy long life.

I couldn't reach my second floor flat without a break, now i go on mtb rides up and down mountains. I know in the states vaping got a bad rep because of the jule and these idiotic high-schoolers that got themselfes hooked, but its actually the best after cold turkey to stop smoking. Here in europe doctors prescribe ezigs to smokers that wanna quit. Plus, nicotine is 100% optional with ezigs, so whoever as a non smoker gets hooked on e liquid is just a total moron.

Forgetting 'flavours' inhaling a wet vapour that includes Vegetable Glycerin (used with warm water and gargled to sooth sore throats) IS MUCH softer on the throat that a HARSH BURNT dry leaf tobacco. Now going on taste, someone who is vaping whatever flavours they are on, WILL NOT switch to a harsh, dry burnt taste of tobacco... Period. There are various tobacco flavours of E-juice, but, they were provided for people who want to go the 95% safer route, but still wanted their brand of tobacco taste to help them kick the death sticks...

I've been smoking since about 16 and it got worse and worse, vaping has really helped me feel a lot better and I can breathe better than before, it's far better for people who already smoke, not people who don't. Also your teeth will thank you for it.
Yes, it made me feel better than smoking cigarettes too but it still freaks me out when I think about it. Am so addicted, I don't know if I'll stop but hope I can sooner than later

The point is vapes are highly addictive and even doing it in moderation is very hard not to get addicted, and it still can cause a lot of damage. Junk food can be addictive too, but gaining a few pounds (for most people) is better than permanently damaging your lungs and also you can always loose weight

He's referring to traditional smoking, such as cigarettes and cigars. Vaping is IN FACT safer than smoking, 95% safer in fact. While it is not "safe" compared to not smoking at all, and addiction is still a possibility, vaping does in fact have benefits, such as helping smokers quit cigarettes and eventually smoking altogether. Don't believe everything anti-vape ads say, vaping is definitely better than smoking overall. But it's still healthier to not smoke/vape at all.
I think he is more trying to make the point to kids and other people who start vapping because it's "cool". I have heard that if you switch from smoking to vapping it can really help with quiting and has less side effects but if you go from nothing to vapping you can really damage your lungs
@@tally-ttc5765 agree that it helps people quit. It is 1000 times better for you, and consider many smoke cigarettes for 40 or 50 years before catastrophic consequences, some indescression is acceptable. Like any vice, it is ultimately bad in the long run.
The Yorkeshire Cancer Society has an awesome video debunking everything Youn has said in this video. The UK has the strictest vaping regulations and they don't have these problems over there. Why? Because over there, people aren't conflating contaminated THC carts with actual vaping equipment and juices.

Thanks Doc! Our daughter was a (not heavy) smoker since she was 17. About 3 years ago she quit smoking and began to vape. I've been asking her to quit for years, finally 3 days ago, I did a serious text intervention, as she lives 5 States away. I included in my text this short video. It had a positive effect on her, she threw away her vape device and is now on day 3 of no vaping. She is the kind of person who when determined, nothing stands in her way. I quit making three years ago and haven't turned back. My lungs feel so much better and just my general health. I also quit drinking back in 2020 and again my overall health is much better.
I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. people that vape aren't ignorant.. we know the risks of inhaling a substance. Vaping CAN help you Segway into a normal life of not smoking at all. I've been smoking cigarettes for years.. not smoking cigarettes.. vaping... has helped my breathing significantly. So sure. Vaping sucks ass. But it is a MUCH better option for people who are addicts trying to quit cigarettes

I smoked for 20 years. Switched to vaping 9 years ago. No pop corn lung, no asthma, lungs are clear. Perhaps other factors contribute aside from vaping?

I used vaping as a means to replace smoking and it worked wonders for my chronic asthma. I had zero asthma symptoms caused by vaping - my lungs started to clear drastically in fact. If I had continued to smoke I would likely be on an oxygen machine or daily nebuliser by now. This type of puritanical sensationalism damages any real pragmatic approach to public health and harm reduction. As a means to quit tobacco, vaping should be embraced like it has been by Public Health England.
