I don't time travel. I'm not here to judge the people who do; play the game in whatever way makes you happy. But I've been playing Animal Crossing since the first one came out, and the gimmick of having it be in real time is still one of the things that makes this franchise stand out for me. I don't mind a bit of anticipation.

OMG LEX YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE IT! I was villager hunting when I was watching this video just now and get this… the minute you revealed Muffy on your island, I arrived to a Nook Miles Island and MUFFY WAS THERE!!!!

I time travel, but usually only when I'm changing infrastructure so I don't have to spend days trying to get things changed. I changed my island to a sort of Halloween-themed thing after Halloween was over too - I made a "Young Frankenstein" themed build. It would have been nice to have it done for Halloween, but I didn't think of doing it until a few days before Halloween when I re-watched the movie.

I do time travel but only within the same day for shop hours, since i tend to be a night owl. But I love for seasons to be consistent as a nature and animal nerd. Also feel so seen as someone building a spooky island in the month of love none the less 🫡 I love the witchy goblincore vibes 🥰

i've time traveled since day one my neurodivergent ass hyperfixates too much to not be time traveling so i can play an absurd amount in one day, hyperfixating on animal crossing for months straight is what kept me sane in 2020

I never used to time travel, and I still do so only minimally. I time travel to get past resident services being upgraded and then get the campsite set up and go to the day it has its first villager because I get so bored with as little as there is to do in that time. Then I just resync my Switch with real time so I keep it current on the real life day. I like being on the current day as I play. Glad you got Kiki and Muffy! They are too cute (but not as cute as Ozzie). 😺

I only time traveled once last year & it was only yo get Nooks Crany fully updated so I could buy Halloween stuff. Otherwise I don’t time travel.

I've been spending so much time in Zelda and Genshin it took me half the video to realize "Nightshade" was your island instead of a glow-in-the-dark lamp based plant and me trying to remember what crafted furniture I was forgetting! I used to time travel a lot in the first game but I just recently got a Switch and New Horizons and I haven't been time traveling, I kind of like it more this way because it means there's only so much for me to do in a single day which is great bc having a limit like that means I won't waste the whole day playing games even though I do love them 😅

Since you asked, no, I don’t time travel. That thing creeps me out ever since I did it in New Leaf and saw the dark future my town had with me gone for several months. Also the reason why I try to play at least a little each day.

I didn't time travel when the game first came out, then I started making islands on my second switch and time travel all the time. Also, best witchy villagers! I have a fairy themed island, but to keep my goth side happy I have a permanent Halloween section. Kiki and Muffy are two out of three of my spooky villagers. The third is Lucky - he is mummy dog! Cute and creepy vibes fulfilled with this villager. And he's lazy which is my favorite personality trait.

I used to time travel a ton all the time in Wild World and New Leaf, but with New Horizons I strictly never did it at least for the first year? It felt nice that way since this game is supposed to be chill and relaxing ^^; After three years, I still never did but that was down to time really - I don't have the time now I used to have as a kid, but I grew to like it to just play for an hour a day or less
