Period AMG catalogues called them the 'AMG Disc wheel' for both 'Aero I' & 'Aero III' 'Penta' is a trademark of Compomotive UK - but AMG always called them the 'AMG 5-spoke wheel'
I used to own 2 x sets of Koenig in 17" and 18" in 3 piece split width often seen on Keonig WB Gen 2 W126's - they were also an awesome wheel (sold them some yrs ago) Also the 17" Futura 3 piece were an awesome wheel seen mainly on the R129. I had a few sets of them which i also sold off some time ago Still got my AMG Gen1 16" Pentas in WB and standard width. But i did own multiple sets of Gen1 since sold off some yrs ago I used to own aprox 50 x AMG/Oz 17" 3 piece wheels but over the yrs sold them off in refurbed sets 10"/8.5" combo way too cheap to what they are worth these days. Just kept sets for my 3 x W126's including my WB set. They are the King of all the wheels for sure I used to have mutliple sets of 17" AMG Aero 1's for W126 but sold them all off ages ago also for way too cheap If only i had a crystal ball and knew how the market was heading in more recent years
I had 1985 500 sec with 5 star fitipaldis..miss that car so much..also had a 1982 300 sd turbo deisel..now havel a 1987 420 sel..will always have a w126 best chasiss ever
There were a couple of years in the 2000s when I was blessed to drive a white '82 500 SEC Euro with AMG rocker panels and bumpers, AMG rear spoiler, Nardi steering wheel, fully chrome trim including on the fenders around the wheel openings, around the windows, etc. It was insanely beautiful, to the point where calling it a 'head turner' just doesn't do it justice. The AMG Monoblock Aero IIs it was sitting on were polished silver with that beautiful chrome ring around the edge. When they reflected sunlight they appeared white as if they were painted to match the car. It was simply a beauty that cannot be described, but instead must be witnessed in-person to properly appreciate. I truly can't wait for your museum to open, gentlemen. 💯
Brooo this is why I love your channel to bitss. OZ Aero 3 pc for the win most def. Pentas are awesome too, just sold mine for an equivalent of $1500 (Made in England Pentas tho). I also have the OG Penta with the AMG Emboss. That one I will not let go for as long as I'm alive. Currently sitting nice on my W123 Wagon. Keep on goin guys. You guys are bringing these vintage AMG to life and I'm really really glad

I really appreciate you making this list with rims we can actually find (even if it takes some deep searching). Would love to see a video of modern, acquirable, body kits that we can throw on our stock 126’s so bring them up to the next custom level. A period installed AMG/Koening/Gemballa/Brabus build is way over budget but slowly slowly I’d love to make a 126 into the dream machine
Brabus blades are my favorite because they're like a cultural thing in the black community. Everybody rode on them from 96 until 2010. The only reason why they ain't riding on them now is because you can't find them.
Love the top 5, they were also my top 5 when I was looking for wheels. I went with Aero 3 replicas for my w126 cause I am not that rich haha. My other choice was an original pre-merger AMG AERO 1, but the guy sold them before I could see them, tssss.
Best rims? I got the answer. My boss in 80's had all the different models. Gray market. His nicest SEC had 16" Zender Turbo wheels. These are very rare but perfect
i know i msg you at the start but im wondering if any or you or your contacts rhat are working to build the KINGDOM, has anyone come across a BB magic top for sale anywhere in the world. i know they only built a handful of them. one other thing, do you guys consider the cw311 as a mercedes? i know rainer buchmann at bb had something to do with that, i know he built a custom one. the kingdom is looking so heavenly!!!! i cant what to find a reason to come down to boca!! cheers
Best wheels for old Mercedes are the original barock wheels. If you can get new manufactured in 16 inches get them. Mostly painting the wheels do not work.
