@@tashaax1993xanimalloverx Try being a personI without a lot of money who probably can’t afford to live in a larger location, who probably does not buy things she needs for herself, so she can spend more on the bunnies. There are people here in the US who struggle just to provide for a few rabbits of their own. Those rabbits would have been killed and eaten without her.

I hope this video gave more avareness of her rescue so she will get more support so she can give the bunnies a better life. I think she has her heart for the bunnies in the right place but I hope she realises too that if she doesn't have enough resources to give a decent life to the bunnies sometimes it's better to let go of maybe the sickest or oldest bunnies instead of letting them suffer. But I res hope she gets more help so she can give them all a better life and take in more bunnies too.

Awww, wow...😢 This video was super touching. I too admire Milagros for basically being like a pioneer caretaker and rescuer of Peruvian bunnies! Every person in the video deserves high props for the hard work put into sprucing up her rescue home and looking out for each of the bunnies there. I really hope that they all find their forever homes soon! ❤🐰

Grew up in Peru, my family raised rabbits and Guinea pigs for food, it’s so hard to change the minds of people and get them to accept how to care for rabbits humanly. I feel so bad for Milagros, it’s so easy to take in more rescue animals than you can realistically take good care of and get overwhelmed, it’s so hard to turn animals in need away.

I can't imagine how hard it must be, you know that you don't have space for another bunny or resources to give them the life you actually want to but at the same time if you don't take in the bunny they will suffer even more like get a horrible desth.

This is so beautiful ! It gives me hope for mankind, or should I say womankind. This is the way we are all supposed to be, helping each other out. Hi Lorelai! Thank you for show us this shelter in Perú!! In Costa Rica we have a similar one called @Rabitos y Orejitas... Is the Only one in Costa Rica and is running by a Family... Ariana is the leadership and she is a bunny and cui lover... She had more than 200 hundred rabbits!!

I never abandoned my rabbit, not even when she was sick. I believe she died of cancer, but I was there for her to care for her in her final days. She was my best friend too. Just because they become more work does not mean you simply abandon them, you wouldn't do that to you're family members simply because they get old and need extra care. My rabbit got diarrhoea when she was ill, but we took her to the vets to get her cleaned up even thought it was expensive, you love something then the cost doesn't matter. I would happily do it again if one of my new bunnies got sick, RIP little cutie!

I love your channel you have helped me so much. I have never owned bunnies before and I had came across these 2 bunnies that was being sold to feed to snakes so I paid 15 dollars for them. I had bought them a hutch and thank God I came across your channel and now they are free roamed. I kept the hutch in their room because they like to play and potty in it lol. Omg, I love this video. I am a bunny advocate and rescue. I understand Milagros entirely because I am in the same boat but in the USA. I started rescuing a few and now have 13 bunnies; believe me, it takes a lot of work and dedication. I love all my bunnies and even though it is a hard job , at the end of the day it's so rewarding. The district where the rescue is located is far from downtown and people tend to avoid going there because of that. I even live in the same district and it's far from my house. I would be glad to donate a bit for the bunnies of Peru! Also as a big fan of your channel, I would like to invite you to look up the Alamo City House Rabbits! It is San Antonio's local bunny rescue organization. Every 3-4 months they do an adoption event with fun events for bunnies! There is enclosures with the bunnies that are up for adoption, there is a meet and greet area for bunny owners, there is a "speed dating" enclosure to see if an owner's bunny will get along with a potential adoptee, there are little tables for shopping, Tina does quick grooming for $10, and there is the main event: a huge area with veggies and hiding spots for the bunnies to be together (there are bunny sitters to keep them from getting too crazy.) Also there is a photo booth for professional photos! Just an idea in case you are ever in the San Antonio area, it would be awesome to have the famous Lorelei attend!

I think it was great seeing the network you brought to Milagros and getting her story out was amazing. I wonder if there is a way to create wooden cages in that area to replace the metal ones.

I'm peruvian and I sorry to say that sadly here and other third world countries rabbits aren't treated well. Not only abandoned, there are some informal pet shops that sells them when they are just 1 month or less, just small kits that still depend on their mother (I renember buying one when I was some years younger cuz I was misinformed and it only lasted 1 day). Most vets only care for dogs and cats so it's kinda hard to find one that specializes on bunnys (usually vet for exotics because rabbits are seen like that). Most rabbit pets do not last very much because most owners threat them more as "big hamsters" instead of what they really are (plus some of them bath them or let their kids play with them with no supervision so their lives is short). edit: also, hopefully, pet shops with good bunny products (hay for example) are more common these days, something that as a rabbit owner cheers me up

Hola Gente de Perú y América Latina! Hace dos años me mudé con mi coneja Californiana a Buenos Aires, aquí conseguí un veterinario de exóticos execelente! Cómo tenemos el mismo problema con el criticalcare que ustedes (es muy caro!) Mi vete me pasó la receta, es simple! Procesar vegetales de hojas verdes con agua y se lo das con jeringa al igual que el criticalcare! Espero que les sirva ❤

I'm a cashier for a major grocery company and work on the front end of my store. I wear a name tag which says I love lemon the Bunny on it.❤ A lot of my customers ask me who Lenny is. So I told them about Laura lay and her channel. I believe I'm raising quite a bit of awareness by doing this and absolutely like that. Good day to everybody who reads this.

You can make ur own critical care mix. It just hay dust and milled up pellets water and some fuit. You can use a grinder to mill and mix everything.

This woman is a Saint..Caring for 51 bunnies. The expense in Peru is unbelievable for critical care. Thank you Lorelei for helping and bringing awareness.
