@@Dirkdebi R.O.B is an Anti-Nintendo character and at the bottom row there's anti-nintendo characters characters & R.O.B is only of them. He'd be one of the Anti-Nintendo characters that would suit well for the bottom row.
That's a real good point about Pauline's new alt and the possibility of her in 8DX's BCP Admittedly it would just be as easy for them to take Rosalina's model, plop Pauline's head on it, and recolour it and call it a day. However, this new alt does have new trick animations and the bikes/atv's use different trick animations to the Karts so it's very possible that they could re-use these for a potential Pauline biker suit in 8DX... If anything though, Pauline getting an alt just reaffirms that the Kart team has NOT forgotten about her, and she still has a VERY real and high chance of making it into wave 6. Plus, even though I think that there is now zero correlation between courses and characters chosen (otherwise why is Petey in wave 5 and not 6 with his own courses?), Pauline is technically linked to this new Pipeline track... her odds are looking better than ever now.
Not to mentioned that Diddy Kong has been mentioned on an official German magazine as part of the base roster of Mario Kart 8 (and not 8DX but base 8) and he also has official merch depicted him on one of the MK8 vehiculs so Diddy must at least have 99.99% ot 100% of chance to be there
No, in piranha plant pipeline trailer we can see Pauline on pants, hinting her biking model, also, Pauline is more of an important character than Funky is... Sure, Funky is rlly a wii rep but not close to Paulines spotlight recently Dont worry tho! Im sure he will be added with Pauline and Diddy with an other character :) I saw somewhere that the Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach files werent in the game anymore, so they prob will become alts in wave 6, leaving us with 4 slots! So the 3 fan favorites can join and we could even get an other character, like 7 rep or tour rep, even Rob, who knows?
All I need is Pauline. So long as we get her, I’ll be happy. I’ll put up with Diddy Kong just so long as we have Pauline. Hammer Bro + variants would be nice.

I only see us getting 2 characters in Wave 6 and that’s it being Diddy Kong & Pauline, the problem with many people wanting so many more characters is that in Tour every single character either brought back or introduced have been medium or heavyweights which would cause an imbalance with the lightweights since not a single lightweight (that’s not a clone character) has been introduced in Tour
Agreed. Although Diddy is a staple for so many Mario spin-offs though it'll be a bit awkward without him. But if I had to choose, I would've liked Wiggler to not be added back, and Funky, Diddy and Pauline to be added instead. Like yeah, Wiggler is cool but he isn't a staple and doesn't have as many fans as Pauline and especially Funky.
I want Diddy Kong and Pauline too. I was expecting them on wave 5. Hope they'll be in wave 6. Also, if Nintendo want to add more characters, the might do a 7th and final wave, but instead of race tracks, they could be battle courses.
The only thing is with wave 5 they made wiggler instead of Pauline no idea why they do that and if they do keil Pauline in this wave then I'm really angry
We all know it has to be diddy kong and funky Kong because they are bigger fan favorites than Pauline for sure but we could see Pauline it’s like a 50 50 between her and funky Kong so let’s hope it’s funky.
I suspect it will be diddy and funky together, since they make sense as partners from the same series. And honestly, if Petey, another fan-favourite who’s rather obscure in the overall mario series, made it in, I see little reason why funky wouldnt be added.
@@harrybest2041 eh, they both have very good reasons to be added but I just think funky has the edge - he just has more significance to the mario kart series (and the booster course pass has definitely been catering to the mario kart fanbase in particular)
I genuinely want Dixie Kong. She is a highly under appreciated character among Mario Kart fans and I would be really happy to see her make it in if Nintendo decides to add more than 2 characters. Nintendo would also want to add more female characters to the roster, so it makes sense. King Bob-omb will also be a great pick. Also, I really hope Nintendo adds more Donkey Kong characters to the next Mario Kart game such as Dixie, Funky, obviously Diddy, Cranky, King K Rool, Kritter or any other Kremling, or maybe even Swanky Kong since he made a cameo in the Mario Movie.
I would love dixie, but THERES NO WAY she can join in wave 6 having Funky and Diddy not being added yet, since the 2 of them are with all the kong support, leaving dixie back :') if theres another bcp tho, i can def ser her joining for female representation

How about Funky Kong he also deserves to be added as well but the thing is that there’s only two characters slots left so how is it going to work out for the last wave.

@@dominicvega1678 He's classified as a medium weight character. Go watch Wave 5 trailer at the end and you'll see it. Plus Metal/Gold Mario is heavyweight despite driving a medium size kart. It's the same case for Kamek
Best case scenario for me: considering that in the previous pack they had three new characters, maybe there’s a possibility that we get more than 2 in this next one… We could have Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Pauline, R.O.B., or (god forbid) Honey Queen in the two new spots, maybe E. Gadd since we know that scrapped characters can make it into future games (though IDK if he’s in tour), PLUS reskins as potential new characters. New colors of Toad/Captain Toad? Mario and Luigi with new powerups? Doctor Mario? Iconic outfits for other characters? The impossible dream scenario, though, is to maybe have multiple characters consolidated/combined to create more spots for newcomers. Why separate Villager boy and girl? Inkling boy and girl? Even better: although they’re of different weight classes, the Koopalings taking up a whole row by themselves? Why not bring them into one menu? I think there are lots of ways that Nintendo could blow our minds in the next DLC with new characters, but they’ll probably just go with two. Fingers crossed, though…
Be prepared to be disappointed because Mario Kart could add random characters that we didn’t want like Honey Queen or something but I would rather have something way more exciting like Diddy Kong lol.
I have a big smoke theory, in the last row are all non mario represents, then my theory said ROB is comming back, if the leaks of removing cat peach and tanuki mario is true, then this could be possible
Yeah those leaks were a mistake in the files and was fixed in Wave 4. Plus this is a Tour based DLC so R.O.B has a microscopic chance since he is a Guest character and Tour doesn't have guests
I've been thinking about it and i have a guess we've seen only medium and large characters come in the mario kart dlc so following that pattern we will have a heavy and medium so my guess for medium is Pauline because she's in other spin off game like Striker's and Golf and Tennis and for heavy i think Funky Kong will be in he's a fan favorite and a heavy character that just has a great chance if Pauline isn't in then Diddy Kong will be in but chances are low to add 2 Kongs in the dlc together
Kamik just looks just like a carbon copy of any other of its koopa type. Even japan magic koopa are just called kameks which would be no different just calling bowser side man just magikoopa... If i coukd redesign him I'd change his sleeave colors to ethier Red or Gold, and keep the main robe color blue or change to purple or black. Lastly rename him Camek.
Ah, hes the most creative of thr koopas tho (if we dont count the koopalings, jr or bowser) And hammer bro is uhhh... Better than koopa atleast? But kamek has alot of importance to the mario story and makes sense for him to get added
It's honestly looking kinda grim for Funky. Diddy is a staple in so many Mario spin-off games that I will be very surprised if he wasn't added and there's been a lot of love for Pauline lately. I really hope Funky isn't left out but idk man, it's not looking good.

Still hoping and praying they drop luma with the release of wii rainbow road. Will it happen? Probably not. But my justification is that: 1. I want it 2. There’s currently no light or feather weight characters released in the booster 3. It would be technically a returning character from Rosalina’s wii model 4. Could be the big new suprise in the final booster wave
I feel like there is a character that already has representation but has no playable characters from the series itself. His car is even in the game, but not him. I’m talking about Captain Falcon from the F-Zero games. He’s gonna be the surprise character, at least in my eyes.
I’d love to see them do the wild funny thing and add more than two characters in the final wave - but that character select screen is starting to look mighty squished - they’d need to likely scale down the character model to the right. Not impossible I’ll add but I still somehow don’t see it. What I COULD see however, is them say, merging some characters into eachother to free up extra slots however. Everyone says things like Tanooki and Cat into Mario and Peach respectively, but I think the first ones they’d do would be just to simply merge Inklings and Villagers together. That frees up two more spots. Then they can make everybody happy - they can make the Pauline and Diddy Kong fans happy without upsetting the Funky fans, and then at the same time also still do a wildcard pick like King Bob-omb or Monty Mole that nobody would expect. I’d be shocked if they end on just two characters at this point - but if they do I expect (hope!) it’s Pauline and Diddy
Honestly,i think funky kong will be one of the laat characters because we got 2 wii courses,so mabye funky kong and diddy kong/pauline and/or whole new roaster,but we will see....
Ok, hear me out. since the bottom row of characters are cameo characters, I predict that Sonic will be the last character introduced. Think about it, Nintendo and Sega have been working on games for a while now, and Sonic has his own kart racer. He even has an amiibo costume in mk8dx. It's a no brainer.
Keep this in mind : this DLC is all content from Tour. The Tracks are based on their Tour appearances, the Characters are all characters who made a comeback/debut in Tour. We aren't gonna get any Guest characters from this DLC. Also Rows mean nothing because what does Wiggler have to do with Baby characters?

I just dont think we get pauline i can see nintendo doing 2 light characters so we end up having 2 heavys 2 mediums and 2 lights now the question is who will be the last light characger to join diddy kong for wave 6?
@@Nin10Jo64 think about who they have added so far they have only added characters that have had only a one time appearance in a previous game and if they’re going to follow that standard then it’s seems that those two are the most likely to be added into the DLC

What I really wan't most for wave 6 is for it to end off on a high note, I am saying what if Nintendo decided to do DOUBLE KONG roster? I see people enjoy Diddy Kong for the memorability as well as Funky Kong, which is a fan favourite to millions. These 2 would be great together and would boom the community, other characters such as Pauline, ROB, Honey queen all seem to out of place for Mario Kart 8 deluxe. Is anyone getting what I am saying?
How is Pauline "Out of place"? Honey Queen and R.O.B I understand completely but Pauline? If anything she's a perfect fit! Another heavy weight female (that isn't a clone) and she comes in as a Tour rep (not to mention the fact that all these tracks are from their Tour appearances so it just makes sense). If anything Funky would look out of place. Almost none of the younger generations knows him so he's only catering to the MKWii fandom. Pauline and Diddy have been in Spin-offs on the Switch so younger and older people both know them.

@@Ampd-647 no not really? When I see Pauline I think of the DK Mini's March Again and March of the Mini's games when I was first introduced to her as "the international Celebrity, Pauline!". Which got me wondering who she was...then she shows up in Odyssey as a fucking Mayor and singer and it all makes sense! They slowly grew her the same way they did Rosalina. Make her appear in a new title, and then incorporate her into the spin-offs as a main-stay character. Which is more than they did with Funky. Funky is such a minor character it's not even funny. He had 1 spin-off nobody liked and played MINOR roles in the DKC series as a transportation guy. Not to mention even Nintendo doesn't know where to put him on the King Family tree other than "family friend". Which is exactly why the Characters will be Pauline from Tour and Diddy from Double Dash. Both are major Characters AND fan favorites.

My biggest issue with Pauline is that she feels TOO important for DLC. She isn’t necessarily a ‘missing’ character like the rest of the BCP cast so far and I just think that if Nintendo wanted to push her as a mainstream MK character, they’d do it in the next game where they’d have a more captive audience. So far the characters have felt like nods to Mario Kart fans, even Kamek whose been missing for decades, while Pauline is more of a new character that hasn’t really had the chance to be a big part of MK yet. I’m not saying Pauline won’t happen, I just think we should realise no character is truly a ‘lock’ until proven otherwise. I will say it’s possible, albeit complicated that we could get more than two characters. Nintendo never outright said that we’re only getting six characters and the six slots could simply be for display purposes, where Mario Kart is a lot more centric around rows and columns, unlike something like Smash Bros. I think it’s more likely that the menu is rebalanced over getting a whole new row. They could turn characters into alts which could open two or three more slots, leaving W6 with four or five characters.
I will shit myself and piss my bed if it’s Pauline. There’s literally no way we don’t get Funky. We’re going to end up with 7 Wii tracks in the BCP- the most of any game (except Tour but all it’s tracks are getting in anyway so it doesn’t count) Mario Kart Wii is also one of the only games without one of its characters in the DLC. DK Jr definitely won’t happen. R.O.B is impossible as well. Funky is a fan favourite. Also we already have a Tour character- Kamek. We don’t need another. Now you can say that we’ll have 3 Double Dash characters (provided Diddy gets in) and I’d agree with you on that. Except for the fact that Birdo and Diddy should’ve been in the game to begin with so it’s like they’re making up for it and adding Petey as the Double Dash rep. Not to mention it seems like they’re trying to represent as much games as possible which is why we have Wiggler- to represent Mario Kart 7. So maybe we won’t get Pauline be we already have a Tour rep 4:50 they didn’t add any characters in Wave 3.
