I love Wentworth puzzles 🥰. And I actually find that they are on the lower price end compared to a lot of other wooden puzzle companys, Unidragon for example. But what really makes them my favorite wooden puzzle brand, is their images, they just have so many to choose from 😁. And even though it's fun when the pieces are crazy shaped, I really enjoy and love the more normal shapes of Wentworths.
That is true. Price wise they aren't as high as many wooden puzzles. If you are comparing to a cardboard puzzle - they are an investment. Their images are beautiful!
Love wentworth as well. I have 2 to be completed. Maybel this christmas I will get around to it. Just a slight comment on your video. when the music plays as you are assembling the puzzle, it's a bit overpowering. Just my opinion.
I also love wentworth puzzles. They are a special treat to puzzle on special occasions and holidays. My husband gifts me one on these occasions and I am thankful to grow a collection of them.
I just did my first wooden puzzle yesterday and oh my god the smell was just unbearable. It actually gave me a headache. It smells like burnt wood but not in a nice way, as I saw people say. It's more like smoke from a fire, like the house burned down or something. I literally don't know what to do with it because I really loved the puzzle itself. Does anyone know how to remove the smell, if it's even possible? 😓
I grew up with a woodstove - so it made me think of home. According to their website "the smell should dissipate if you allow the puzzle to air in a well ventilated, enclosed space." So maybe in a garage?
@@thecasualpuzzler Hi, I will let it air out and thank you so much for replying. I would just like to mention that mine is not a Wentworth puzzle. It's from a small local brand (I'm in Eastern Europe).
I love the smell of wooden puzzles, but I guess it's a personal taste thing, and maybe the smell can differ from brand to brand 🤔. And as she also answered, Wentworth actually write on their webside that the smell will disappear over time, and that's probably true for all wooden puzzles 🤞😊
@@a_puzzling_lamb hopefully 🤞. I admit I am sensitive to strong smells, always have been. I got really sad when I opened the box because I always saw people say how nice their wooden puzzles smell... I guess I should try a Wentworth one next. Thank you for replying.
Hmmm...I hadn't thought of that. Might be a deal breaker. Then maybe a puzzle of a stack of puzzles. Everyone does bookshelves...why not a puzzle shelf?
Welcome to the world of Wentworth jigsaw puzzles! 👍They are wonderful puzzles with, as you stated, amazing images. The smell is wonderful and I have a good sniff when I get them! 👃 Sizes range from 15 to 1500 pieces. Over time I have accumulated over 20 of these jigsaws either buying them new or from ebay. I do have the advantage of living in the UK so the postage won't be too high. I love seeing what the whimsies are in each jigsaw. 🧩 At the moment I am just going up to 250 pieces but I may decide to try 500 at some point. They are currently doing a Black Friday event, 20% off from today, Wednesday, to Monday. No doubt you discovered that their corner pieces are diagonal.
When I buy when they have a sale or like a discount then for Europe I can almost eliminate postage😂. Only both them as gifts so far but they seem to be well received
My partner was given a small 40 piece difficult puzzle for Christmas last year. I have since become a bit obsessed! My friends are being given marked catalogues as a hint this year!
