My choices are Pocket 3, Action 4 and or GoPro 12 and the Mini 4 pro and or Air 3s. Your set. The next generation Ace Pro will probably be amazing also. It is so close but their next version should be killer. Has some neat features, flip up screen, pause recording, 4k 2x zoom etc. The next gen Ace Pro will certainly very much compete with DJI and GoPro.
The DJI Pocket 3 (creator bundle) has been my favorite go to travel camera for several months now! I want to upgrade my GoPro 11 though and am considering the 360 x4 (especially for roller coaster POVs) seems cool! Do you have to use their app to configure the 360 footage?

The X4 would be the last camera I would get out of all those. Mainly because it’s a pain in the neck to edit. I would start out with the OP3 creative combo, then add the Action 4 and learn how to switch the wireless mic between both cameras. It’s pretty easy. I already had the Air 2S drone, but if I didn’t, I would get the one you recommended. I’m not a pro travel blogger, so I don’t like to spend too much time filming when my wife is with me. I just enjoy the vacation, or just use the OP3. I don’t need to film everything. Now if I’m by myself, I bring as much stuff as I can carry.
Nice video. My current setup is the GP12 which surprisingly is better and more stable than my older gopro cams over the years, and the DJI Air 3 because I adore that zoom feature. I typically use it to chase thunderstorms and it handles high winds and sudden bursts of rain pretty fantastic. My bag is a Shimoda Explore V2 30L and the Air 3 fits in the top pocket of it! That pocket 3 is so tempting to purchase I've seen so many good results with it....
My current cameras I use for travel include the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 because it is an awesome and easy to use video camera for vlogging. Next, I am beginning to like my Insta360 X4 but editing the video and incorporating it into a vlogging video is a bit of a learning curve for me. However, the I like getting B-role from the Insta360 X4. Third, I carry a Canon R6 Mark II with a RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 zoom lens mainly for photography but I sometimes use the video features for certain shots. The microphones are surprisingly good but the audio would need tweaking in post. Fourth, despite my growing fondness for the Insta360 X4, I still carry a GoPro Hero Black 12 (I recently purchased it to replace the Hero Black 10 at the recent GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado) for shots an Insta360 X4 would not work. This is what I will be carrying with me on an upcoming trip to Southern California.
DJI Air 3 can be a better choice for drone as it is more stable in windy condition and in high altitude and the dual camera. Also a DJI action 4 for underwater diving footages with dive light setup. And the 3m selfie stick for arial footages where drone is not allowed or not possible to fly. Thats it. :D
Anyone whining about mini 4 and windy conditions shouldn’t even be allowed to fly one…its the dumbest accusations ever! Mini 4 is really good unless theres a storm..😎😎😎
