After two previous mistrials, the jury has found a verdict of guilty in the third trial for a Houston man accused of killing his parents as a 16-year-old back in 2016.
I had dinner with this family a month before this tragedy. Dawn and Antonio paid for every single person without question and it was 20 of us! So sad and I believe the jury did their job finally!
Just asking,is his wife white?Because I saw a white woman crying walking out of court🤔And also how did he manage to marry..and get a son?Was he out while the case was on trial before?
Finally, justice for the parents ( Rest in peace). That young man went on with his life, married and had a son, was willing to blame his brother, while his parents laid in a cold grave. Go to jail, thank you to those 12 law abiding citizens who got it right.
He found himself a white girl to love him and start a family. A black girl would have reminded him of his loving mother. Black men seem to always run back to their former master.
Did you even watch the show accused, innocent or guilty on the A&E channel. There is so much more to this story so this is the problem this case has more than enough reasonable doubt that’s why they had two hung juries on two different trials. It blows my mind how anybody can convict with so much reasonable doubt that’s the problem with our jury system.
His story changed as days went by. On the initial 911 call, he didn't mention anything about seeing a masked man running out of the back door until 3 days later when he was interviewed by the detectives. Go figure that
Yup, then if I remember correctly, he further elaborated that he thought the figure looked like his older brother Josh. AJ is absolute trash and I'm so glad justice has been served
Don't forget on the 911 call he was complaining of ringing in his ears, which would come from firing a gun. Glad the jury saw passed the manipulation. May the Armstrong's rest in peace.
he did not move even bat an eye when they said guilty! if i was innocent, they would have had to carry me out and I would have had plenty to say b4 sentencing. him and his wife made a child to be RAISED without a father.

It blows my mind how anybody can convict with so much reasonable doubt that’s the problem with our jury system. Also when someone has gone through now their third trial, you can’t tell me how you would respond in that moment. It’s one thing if it’s your first trial, but when this is your third time doing it in seven years, you have no idea how you would respond like people just think that by looking at someone they just judge them immediately.
That appeal will like take 5 to 10 years before a court will even consider it. He should sit down and enjoy prison. Familicidal killers are utterly repugnant; the worst.
Just the ULTIMATE BETRAYAL to be killed ANY family member.. let alone your child. I hope this haunts him in some way or he ends of regretting this but…I honestly doubt he will. This guy is a sociopathic or psychopathic!
Highly irresponsible to have a child knowing you could go to jail for the rest of your life . And sickening to think you name your son after the father you k*lled . For me this whole time it’s been the 911 call & the evidence in the home too . The security system .
naming his son after the father you k*lled is his calculated trick to keep the blame off his wrongdoing & deverse the finger pointing off him.I think he was jealous of his half siblings & want to hurt them by depriving them of the parents.
All the lies he told. Not just immediately at the scene but during questioning as well. The bullet that he said he shot off a couple weeks before smh and how he said he uswd to get his dads gun and play w it all the time but then faked like he wasn't sure where dad kept his gun. He lied way too much to be innocent and none of it added up to anything that might make sense. Im blown away so many people believed him to ge innocent. People are so easily manipulated its crazy
Parents who suffer at the hands of their own offspring is tragic. They fed, sheltered, protected him from all dangers of the world and he LET THE DEVIL INTO HIS HEAD to do this to them. He had everything he could’ve wanted from his parents. Just WHY?
He would have been perfectly fine having his innocent half-brother wrongfully languishing in prison instead of him. Nothing is beneath this loser. Josh, whoever you are, stay away from those people and enjoy the fresh air every single day.
He said, he saw a masked man. Couldn’t say, if he was black or white but he thought he was black. If it was his brother, he would have recognised him, wouldn’t he? If you see the eyes of somebody, you can also say, if he is black or white and you will know if it is your own family. AJ is so guilty!
Of course if he could bring himself to kill the people that birth, raised and took care of him, his brother rotting in prison for his crimes would be the least of his worries. That’s what sociopaths do…
Can't stop talking about this case, they tried to blame josh because he wasn't part of the main family and use him as the escape goat when they knew in their hearts and soul that it was AJ all along. Sad as hell!!!!!!
It's his process of grief that the other family members refuse to acknowledge...you lost TWO parents and he's casually taking baby pics...like they were replaceable
Hope he reflects on how he will never get to see his son play sports, or graduate, or get married and will never get to hold his grand babies. I hope that haunts him every night when he closes his eyes.
I think in the first two trials the defense did a good job at presenting reasonable doubt with them saying maybe Josh did it and the jury could not get that out of their minds. The DA in the third trial did an exceptional job in removing that doubt in making sure the jury knew that Josh wasn’t there and the mental issues Josh has came after his parents were murdered. They made sure the jury knew that the parents had pleasant conversations with Josh but the complete opposite with AJ.
I feel so bad for the older son! Like my gosh your own family not only killed your folks but then tried to blame it on you! Absolutely despicable. Then he went on to get married (knowing he guilty) and named his child after one of the people he killed! This MF dangerous, very dangerous. He should never be free again.
how do you know the brother didn't do it? Girlfriends have lied many times for bfs (the reason they did not investigate him much at all) plus there was no blood on him !
Did u even watch what went on in this trial.... Do you know the innocent A.J.s lawyer tried skate on the idea that his mental ill brother that wasnt that way until his Parents were dead did it and does a innocent person throw alcohol in front his parents bedroom then light it on fire before he finally did kill them....🎤 ⤵️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ Did u like ur own comment.....hahaha

@@RabbitAndTheLabBestFriends It's scary because there is almost no case. The day before trial they had to plant and fabricate blood evidence after 7 years to bolster the case. Shouldn't have been allowed in.
Wait why does the entire family blame the brother???? I genuinely have never heard of this case. I just watched this video. And I hear the jury convicted him because he was acting strange?? But they weren’t sure, and the family thinks he’s innocent and the brother did it?? I’m confused…
@@I-hate-youtube797 I dont know about this case in particular as I also only just heard about it. However sometimes the person accused/family tries to blame others in the family to put reasonable doubt in the juries mind. Same thing happened in the Piper Roundtree case. She blamed her sister. Her sister was fine with her blaming her coz it helped with the reasonable doubt(didnt work tho). Unsure if thats the case here tho. Just a possibility
@I-hate-youtube797 The older brother has a different mom. The sister referred to him as an outkast and not a "real brother". It's clear to me that AJ did it.
Exactly he was the only one who was giving his parents problems and when they took his car and phone from sneaking out the house to see his girlfriend and buying marijuana. He wanted them gone. There was no break in and he was practicing shooting his dad's gun. What burglar would know where his dad's gun was at and leave it at the crime scene that made no sense. He definitely did it...
@@mslove7798 exactly ! Crazy thing is.. he really thought he was gonna get away with it and he’s too deep in now to admit that he did it Or maybe he genuinely has trained his twisted and sick brain to believe that he didn’t do it Extremely sad turn of events and it’s absolutely terrifying that a 16 year old was capable to such a heinous crime

I have always advocated for the justice of the parents. I’m relieved that AJ was finally convicted! Kudos to this jury for sticking to the facts of the case and not being fooled by the manipulation of AJ and his defense team.
Agree totally with you that defense failed to provide any evidence that someone else could have done it. Don’t understand how jury before could have had trouble not seeing the clear evidence that AJ was the only one in the house. Trying to blame Josh was so disgusting, he was at his home with witnesses present. There is no way in hell anyone other than AJ did it. Bunch of ridiculous fools denying the clear evidence. Bizarre he got off for 7 years only a magic masked man is their only explanation and how did the alarm not work then but short time after works as AJ shut it down. Defies all reason. Defense was manipulative and worked so hard to blame Josh yet he was never considered a suspect by any member of Huston police, what is everyone on the force stupid, NO
@@pamelaapplewhite9968 Yes there is absolutely no other explanation to account for this crime. No stranger would enter the sealed house with no weapon but know for certain there was a loaded gun available and know exactly where it is and that it wasn’t locked up is absurd just makes no sense and test fire in his room the gun. The defense had no facts to offer to give the jury to explain away state facts they just made up stories they were not able to prove like would defendant simply produce his friend to say yes me and Aj were talking bout test firing dads gun but I left before he had chance to show me cause that statement alone could have cast serious doubts to state case but it’s clear there was no friend or he would appear in court and how could he have ever known his sister was fine but never once ask about his parents or look in their room this defies reality leaving only one person and the alarm expert has no reason to lie that system was working the records proved it Josh was totally out of picture he was with people and how did he home so fast from murder scene to his home
@@mikealex1709 It takes two. She could have and should have stayed on birth control until the trial was done. Maybe they stupidly thought the jury would be swayed because he had a child.
YES< YES< YES!!!!I prayed over this case, just this week and didn't even know it had happened until today!!! This case and the Joan Benet Ramsey case have always haunted me!!! Thank God!! Justice!!!
He seems relieved for it to be over with after 3 trials. I hope he admits it one day and repents for his sins. Thou shall honor thy mother and father, and thou shall not kill.
Maybe this is the luckiest and unluckiest "intruder" ever. Went to kill 2 ppl with no weapon, happened to find one at the scene, used it, then forget to take it with him on his way out🤷🏼♂️
I could never be a lawyer defending a mf who not only killed someone for nothing, BUT YO OWN PARENTS? No way I could fight for that, not even for money
I’m sure his attorneys know that he killed his parents but when you’re getting paid to do a job🤔. Justice has been served. I’ll keep my thoughts about the grandparents 🤬
Had the previous juries gotten this right in the first place, he wouldn’t have had a child. I’m sorry, but he shouldn’t have been free to marry and procreate. All his parents did for him. Gave him everything he needed and wanted and he so obviously killed them bc they were trying to teach him how to be a good person. And for him to blame Josh. And look how the kid acts. No remorse at all. No sense of grief for his deaf parents. He needs to confess and repent and pray for mercy on his soul.
It is what it is. Why are you so angry at the fact that he got married and had a kid while being out on bond? You are acting like he had the time of his life while being out on bond. Guess what? He is guilty and he has been stripped away from society. And he won’t be getting out of prison until he is at least in his 60s. In the end he got what he deserved and that’s all that matters. What happens with his wife and kid afterwards is non of our business
Yea was thinking same and be truthful to his whole family that really do believe he’s innocent. He’s such a manipulator… I’ve always known he was guilty and I’m sure for every acquittal he was celebrating and praying that he would be set free. Not understanding what happened to some of those that were part of the 2 previous trials that acquitted him. Wonder what they say now. Would be interesting to watch that interview
@@miguelrobb5719 @kiaramurray832's anger may be justified when you think about the cold-blooded actions of this young man (killing his parents AND destroying the lives of BOTH his older brother AND younger sister) - based on the fact that he wasn't brought to justice EARLY ENOUGH! Apparently, while the previous 2 trials were going on he was busy living his own life (including having a child of his own even though he failed woefully in the role of being the child of his own parents by KILLING THEM 😑).
I saw him due a interview on one those Dateline / 48 Hour shows and his demeanor was very telling, he didn't seem Sad at the lost of his Parents at All very cold and callous.Peace
What gave it away for me was he never even asked if his parents were okay in the beginning of the interview. Someone in shock would have wanted updates every minute ! He had no regard or respect for their life, he’s a complete psychopath with sociopathic tendencies… he has no respect for anyone’s life, they ability to just try to pin it on Josh was very telling of his character ! And I believe if Josh would’ve showed up before the police he would be the one in jail, this young man was very calculating and he planned this from day one.. but luckily Josh didn’t show up until after the police got there
I disagree. I don’t think he planned this murder, he acted on impulse when he killed his parents. After thinking about his albi he decided to blame his older brother because he was a convenient person to throw under the bus, and it’s the story he chose to stick with for his defense.
Way to much evidence pointing towards his guilt.cant believe his family and friends didn't see it. Feel sorry for them all. AJ must repent and ask God for forgiveness..now the parents can rest in peace.
They don’t care if he is guilty, they will lie and do whatever it takes to prevent him from going to prison. Their thinking is we have already lost two loved ones we don’t want to lose another to a long prison term.
@@keithbailey8030 free rent , 3 meals a day, free health care, plenty of exercise….all at the expense of his freedom. I bet he thought he was in the clear after the last two trials.
Blaming his older brother is low. If he believed it was his older brother he would’ve initially mentioned it in the 911 call. And why would his brother go to his room to kill their parents when he could’ve walked right into their room?! Smh what a liar.
His brother was in bed with his girlfriend during the murders.. After the murder, Aj called him and told him their parents were killed, so he went over to the house
He had to say that stupid lie bc someone would have to see the brother. If the brother went to parents room and killed them and left, AJ would be behind doors or sleep like his sister, how can he identify the brother???
Not only that if AJ saw his brother and knew his brother killed his parents don't we think he would have had a heavy argument with his bother and question him as to why he did this. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that his older brother was even there or no DNA evidence. Brother was never brought for questioning regarding any involvement in their murder. AJ was a liar, is a liar and will continue to lie for the rest of his life. Period.
Finally, justice for his parents. Selfish young man went on with his life while his parents laying in a grave. He’s a psychopath. Thank you to the jury.
Ted Bundy’s mom STILL believed her Teddy would never do such things, Joan Porco STILL believed her Christopher was a good boy…NOBODY really knows what goes on behind closed doors!! If AJ would be a man and tell the family the truth, MAYBE I’d have an ounce of respect for him! God bless his parents and the brother, Josh, who AJ allowed to be slandered. ✝️ He’s such a PUNK!! R.I.P.=Rot In Prison!! 👹👎🤬
@@ieshjust16 I was referring to the strong denial of his family members, grandparents, sister, who took his side in this and pointed the finger at his brother (1/2 brother). He needs to man-up! 👍
The very first trial I knew in my gut he killed his parents. When he went to the police for integration. The way he talked in a matter of fact way, like having a normal conversation. No natural emotion.
He is to serve life w possibly of parole after 40 years, only because he was 16 at the time of the murders. The law has changed in favor of minors over the years that he was being tried.
If he was capable of that and then could get married and live like nothing ever happened it is a good thing for his wife and son that he is locked away.
Finally, this Boi gotta stand up and TAKE HIS MEDICINE. I knew he was guilty early on, because the house had no break-in and he said there was a burglar. But, no evidence for that. No alarm went off. Only him there. Why do you expect?
Aj J only married his girlfriend as A J thought most people would think A.J. was truly in love , so he wouldn't be charged w the murder of his parents.
I felt AJ was guilty 7 years ago, he is also guilty of shame towards Josh. AJ looked very fearful & guilty while the verdict was being read, GUILTY. May the parents rest in peace.
For me, it was the letter that his mother wrote to him/AJ about how much of an incredible liar he'd become... To me, it was painfully telling and then to hear his interrogation and how he was "remembering" shadowy figures, reasons as to why he test fired the gun in his room, excuses for the fire.... I just kept thinking of his mom's letter and I realized just how frightening that had to be for her to see the cracks in the paint, if you will, about her son. I think on some level she knew he was capable of much more sinister things and was doing her best to help him, his dad too, of course. I'm glad that he was finally convicted for what he absolutely did do. (It was a letter or text, can't quite remember)
He tried to kill his parents multiple times. After setting a fire near their bedroom door, I would never have been able to sleep in that house with AJ there. That should've been a warning to the parents. But, of course, they never thought that their own son would murder them. The Lord was with the older brother that night because AJ planned for him to take the fall for the murders. That's exactly why he called him to come to the house but, the cops got there before he did.
I don’t like that people keep victimizing this murderer as a “young man” who is a “father” with his “whole life ahead of him”. AND?! He’s also a man who killed his parents and thought he was smart and calculated enough to get away with it. Call a spade a spade. Let’s stop acting like he’s the first kid who committed a heinous crime like this one…. He shouldn’t have harmed someone else, then he’d get to be a father and husband. Why are we calling him a “nice young man”? Nice young men don’t commit crimes like this…
@@Bleu413Right. At least his victims got a proper burial place while Casey fed her TODDLER to crocs so she could be unhindered to do meth and have sex all day.
Finally Justice was served🙏🏾Thanks to the jury and the prosecutors and Kim Ogg the DA that saw through the BS of the defense lawyers and the grandparents and wife supporting this cold blooded killer of his parents...
Have been wondering if his wife has been crying so hard because either a) she realizes she's been snowed the whole time and married a killer and is in shock/sadness about that realization, or b) she genuinely thinks he's innocent. I am stunned that her parents let her continue DATING him at the time of the first arrest! She was his HS Sweetheart.
I agree. Parents dead. His son is gonna grow up without a father. His siblings probably don't like each other. I mean whoever did this murder really destroyed there family
The jury definitely got it right. Thank God he's off the streets and won't be harming anyone else. Justice was served. R.I.P to his parents. They can finally rest now.
it's because he shot the gun. He didn't realize he was telling on himself, because you have to be quite close to have ringing in your ears. He probably closed the door when he shot them, which had the sound bouncing off the walls.
This has taken far too long to happen but finally. When I heard the actual emergency call he made I was shocked at his calmness with no emotion shown, that’s just not how anyone behaves and particularly not after discovering their parents have both been executed. That’s a sociopath right there.
Right, but not just that, he stated that the man in the mask turned and looked at him. He said he saw the man. But he had no fear that that man could have easily turned on him and shot him too? After all, he was a witness. That just didn’t fly with me.
@@MrMystri Right. And the more I think of it. That man he said did it is still out there somewhere if what he said was true. But it’s not. But if it was…who was it? Why was his family ready to blame his brother? They weren’t there. They didn’t see what AJ claims he saw. Why was he so cool? So calm? Calling 911 whispering? The man was gone? No need to whisper. I would have been hysterical. My Mom and Dad are shot and maybe this guy is coming back for me? I would have peed my pants! And then saying his ear was ringing? Huh?
@@brendab.5111 That’s exactly my point, no normal human being who’s innocent of any shenanigans would have been un phased like that, as you say hysterical is exactly how I would have been too.
His body language, just watching him walk around that courtroom. I’m sorry but this kid is cold-hearted and calculating. As a mom, my heart mourns for the parents taken too soon, for the children who are grieving the loss of their parents and now their brother. His wife and son too. This kid was arrogant to think he could get away with committing evil.
Omg I know. I have been saying that AJ and his wife's behavior was always so odd and no remorse. His wife winking on the stand and joking while being questioned. Allot of people said " oh but they were kids so she was nervous". Dude no, they were old enough to know. It goes to show how seriously she took an African American couple's death.
Yea , you saw it right , when he shrug his arm when the sheriff try to hold his arm ! Fuck those evil ass grandparents! I can’t understand how they can’t see what everyone else sees ! Hmm 🤔
I'm sorry if I'm not guilty and they say guilty I'm acting a whole fool. I never saw how "innocent" people can act so calm. That always made me think otherwise about them.
What bothers me is that AJ told police he saw a masked gunman come out of his parents bedroom, he would have known if that was his brother mask or not if that were true, throwing your own brother that you love and your super close to under the bus like that is cold as it gets.
I knew Aj did it and the brother that’s messed up the family did the brother that way. He killed his parents cold blooded and let the family drag is brother that has a mental health problem go through all that and be blamed. He’s sick and deserves life so he can think about it.
This jury got it RIGHT!!! Good! This idiot’s story never made any sense to me, whatsoever. He killed his parents in cold blood. Motive, if I was asked? Because, his parents were strict, especially his mama, and he hated that they had taken everything from him (phone and car). They had stripped him of everything, and he was NOT going to stand for it! Out of intense anger, he murdered them. Kudos to this jury. Now, he will spend the rest, of his miserable life, in prison. Wonderful! Peace.
There really are no winners in this situation. It is a lose-lose when someone, a child annihilated his parents to gain his independence. A J is truly a troubled young man. He deserves to be punished for his actions. His parents tried to give him the best of everything and may they rest in peace.
The irony is real. So many black children grow up with only their mom or have no parents but yet AJ has both parents and decides to kill them. The Black community has serious serious issues that need to be worked on.
@@f430ferrari5 The Black community has issues? So when White children kill their parents, fo you say they the White community has issues that the need to work on?
