I heard back then that YG was shocked and kinda disappointed to Hyunsuk for not choosing his forte which is rapping and thought he chose the ‘easy target’, although we all know he excels in everything and challenged Junghwannie who is only training for months. YG is really giving tough love on Hyunsuk back then. Who’d knew that tough love would made him to be their reliable leader eventually. And YG really saw the potential in Junghwan even when everyone else don’t believed in him. 😢 But look at them now, the oldest and maknae always rely on each other. Even if I understand the reasoning behind being hard on Hyunsuk it’s so sad seeing him be this sad and desperate to debut and not achieving these steps for it… I love that YG had an insane amount of faith in him because we know now how good he is and that the vision that he had for him actually happened 🥺 Jeongwoo being the biggest Yedam fan is so cute❤️
the main producer's name is yang hyunsuk. he's the founder and chairman of yg. he used to be a part of a 1st gen boy group as a rapper, dancer, producer. he was called yang goon at that time, so he named his company yg ent. he's also called papa yg by yg stans. tmi sorry. 😅

Dang, this episode i always dreaded to watch😅 but this is why Hwanie is my bias. I felt same when Hyunsuk chose Hwanie, upset and disappointed. I did thought he thinks going againts Hwanie is an easy win for him w/c i guess can't blame him. Im just grateful to Papa YG for considering every aspect of the situation, i was happy when he chose Hwanie but at the same time felt broken for Hyunsuk (he want's that win desperately). Him and Jihoon are my bias wreckers and i always love, appreciate, and treasure every cute and sweet moments of my SukHwan🥰🥰🥰

Yg (main producer) played very well, even before Treasure box we all know that YG loves Hyunsuk. However, on TREASURE BOX he want to see more on Hyunsuk, how he will handle downfall and losses. This Treasure Box is training ground as we predicted that Hyunsuk is the right leader of TREASURE.
some k-teumes said before that yoshi & yoonbin's battle wasn't aired in full cos they performed with a female dancer. so they basically cut the performance to avoid any controversy, i guess. it was uploaded in full though on the ygtb vlive channel. not sure if this is really the reason, but i'm sure you know how crazy knetz get when idols / trainees are seen with girls
i haven't rewatch it since the first time i watch it even tho i was introduce to them from this and started stanning them from this survival because i really cried hard watching its so harsh and i love each of them equally is also because of this show . and i watch this after so many year with you .

in Jeongwoo vs Yeon GUe battle, YG's reasoning for choosing Yeon Gue was because his voice suited the song at that time even though YG and everybody knew that Jeongwoo has the voice, skills and technique that even rivaled Yedam. In that battle, YG judged who DID BEST AND PERFORMED BEST AT THAT MOMENT. Jeongwoo lost because Yeon Gue performed better. As YG said who suited the song best. At that moment, he is not considering the FUTURE, who is the better vocalist among the two. Because if he did, he will definitely choose Jeongwoo. YG's reasoning for choosing Jungwahn over Hyunsuk is he is looking for a FUTURE dancer, meaning even though Junghwan lacks the skills and technique, YG said it himself, at that performance, he still chooses him because he is thinking about the FUTURE. YG didn't choose Junghwan because he is the one who DID BEST and PERFORMED BEST AT THAT MOMENT, but because he PREFERS him and is thinking of his potential in the FUTURE. See the unfairness and unreasonableness of YG's judgment there. By the way, there is no rules in that battle that says you choose only what you are know at, meaning if you are a rapper, you choose rap only and you cannot choose other categories such as dance or singing. Hyunsuk will definitely choose rap if there is such a RULE. Also, there is no rule that says you can't battle younger trainees if you are a longer trainee because they are easy to beat. Because if there is, they should make it clear to all trainees then. YG should make it clear to all of them that he is looking for the FUTURE vocalist, rapper and dancer ONLY at that battle and not to showcase other skills and talents of the trainees. YG should make it clear then that there is no room for a multi-position in that battle, just choose one skill and that's it. YG was surprised and appreciated Mashi and Jeongwoo when they rap despite the fact they are known as vocalists, so why not Hyunsuk showing his dancing skill. People keep harping and judging Hyunsuk that he should choose rap instead of dance. People took it against Hyunsuk who choose Jungwahn to compete because he is younger than him and not trained longer and easier to beat. Hello people, its called SURVIVAL SHOW, their age and lack or long training shouldn't matter. They should be judged at that moment of their performance. Also, are people blind and did not see the caption that Hyunsuk is a MULTI-POSITION, his strength, talents and skills are rapping and dancing, and if not for LIE I didn't know that he could sing as well (if only people would be honest, he even sing better at some of his members in TREASURE, same with Ruto and Yoshi who are good in singing, STILL LIFE of BIGBANG is a proof of that). YG said it himself, Hyunsuk has the skills and better technique as a dancer. He just preferred Jungwhan for the FUTURE. If so Hyunsuk didn't lose because he sucks at dancing, the audience was even surprised that as a rapper, he can sing well evident by the 100 TREASUREMAKER in the audience who choose Hyunsuk. Hyunsuk didn't choose Junghwan because he is easy to beat, but because Hyunsuk want to show YG that he has other talent and skill aside from rapping just like when Mashi and Jeongwoo showed their rapping skills. Also, what is the point of giving all these trainees the chance to CHOOSE which CATEGORY THEY WANT TO COMPETE and WHO THEY WANT TO COMPETE and be accused and judged by YG and the people who watched YGTB that whoever they choose to go up against is because they want it easy. Let's not be a hypocrite here people, if you are one of these trainees, you will also choose the opponent that you think you can beat in order to debut. That's why I don't judge Seungyoon if he chooses whoever he think is easy to beat. But it's definitely not Hyunsuk style. I WANT TO REMIND PEOPLE THAT HYUNSUK SURVIVED and WON 5th PLACE in MixNine without support from YG by competing fair and square to what, 70 or 100 trainees from different agencies. So accusing Hyunsuk that he belittled Junghwan and find him easy to beat is not fair to him. YG never praised, not even once and showed appreciation to Hyunsuk even when he is the only one among YG trainees who are left to represent YGE in MixNine and even if he won 5th place to debut. Even if Hyunsuk's performance was excellent, YG never praised him. YG would rather praised the other idols in which Hyunsuk at. Imagine how humiliating it would be for YG to produce MixNine and none of his trainees won at the end. YG cared enough about Junkyu's mental health/depression and his low self-confidence after he placed 35 or 37 in MixNine, enough to show it as Junkyu's back story, but never about Hyunsuk who is set to debut but got canceled at that time.
Even if I obviously wanted Jeongwoo to win because I know him more and I love his voice I think I feel the same way he did… Yeongue did so good and he did fits that song so much🥺 I love love love that he gave Junghwan the chance to improve and let him pass all these battles! He really saw his future and now we can see how much growth and improvement he had! He is great❤️ I don’t really know why Hyunsuk chose Junghwan, could be because he wants to show that he is much more than a rapper of because he thought Junghwan is easy to win, but that doesn’t matter, as you said, this is a survival show and he is one of the members that has trained the longest to debut and want to show that he really has de talent to do so🥺 I am sad that he never got praised by YG… it’s sad because he really is doing good…💔
OP, @MAEreacts, I want to ask you. Do you perhaps know all of the trainees from this show that had debuted, other than Treasure? I want to make sure you realized or recognized these trainees that debuted in other groups. But, judging by your reactions and expressions, it looks like you don't know who had debuted and who didn't, did you? I can tell you, but I want to make sure you know or recognize other groups that these trainees debuted in. K-Pop and J-Pop. Majority of these trainees has already debuted, but what groups? I want to know if you know. PS. They cut out Yoshi vs. Yoonbin's performance because there was a female backup that they interacted with. Also, remember, that these boys were still quite young at that time. It was 2018-2019 LOL Yoshi and Yoonbin were 17-18 years old at those time. Imagine Team C lol So yeah, they had to cut their performance out because it was illegal for them having a female involved, and the female was legal too.
I do know that most of them debuted in other groups!! I have a list with their actual groups and I can’t wait to react to them all!! If I don’t look at the list I don’t know who is in which group (besides the members from treasure A that are in Cix) I hope I can find Yoonbin and Yoshi’s performance because I was confused/mad they didn’t show it💔
I give a 50/50 performance for me would haven been that of Seunghun-Mashiho (well mashi voices is just unique) YG just doesn’t like Seung Hun. I don’t think there is anything he could have done😞
