D-low has a tutorial on the sound its called Meow Squeak, hes doing inward bass combined with meow squeks and clicks Remix has a tutorial on the combo aswell
The difference between Remix and Jollux is is that Remix has structured compositions that introduce new sounds and different variants of the previous sounds while Jollux uses his combination of 3 or 4 different sounds as the build to a drop and uses those same sounds with other sounds. Very well done for the both of them. As Remix says, "Killed the elim, still got a lot to improve."
8:23 is meow squeak: push air between cheek and teeth at left / right side or both and press air with cheek. Thats how u can add this sound to your routine, dont' lose breath and continue what u doing. Btw thx for reaction, quality of your videos high, love it!
7:03 He's doing vibration bass, which is quite a lot harder than throat bass. The difference is, that throat bass adds one subharmonic an octave below the fundamental tone of your normal voice, while vibration bass adds another subharmonic below throat bass. (it's a 5th below I believe)
Its basically storing pockets of air in your cheek using the top row of your teeth and your zygomaticus muscles area, and to release the air, you drop your jaw a little, letting the air squeeze out to make the "meow squeak" sound.
Has nobody specified that sound is meow squeak? many tutoritals. You can even do it while doing inwards mouth instead of the nose inward bass, but obviously you could layer it with outwards basses but it's harder.
I'm at 5 min mark ...that kid tho..look at him he's dope dude. Anthony I am totally loving the beatbox reactions. I've always been amazed at the talent and abilities these guys are so good and all unique. Loving it and I'm still amazed how good you are at it ..never knew until Ive seen a few vids of you displaying your talent. like I've stated you damn good imo kinda blew me away seeing you doing it never knowing you even did at all really. Imo you pretty damn good at it✌️🤘🔥🔥
To me this battle is all about experience. If you look at Remix 2-3 years ago he was just like Jollux. Ok maybe he wasn't quite as young but my point is he was young & skilled but lacked experience. In the past few years Remix has gained ridiculous amounts of experience. Plus I associate Remix with online bbx battles so that may play a part too
Hello @AnthonyRay. I've been following your channels for long time now but this is my first time writting. About the "duck" sound that you used to do when you were a kid, try holding some air in your cheek and then push it with your finger. You will be able to do that sound. With the knowledge of beatboxing you can do it without pushing with your finger. (Im not a beatboxer myself). Thanks for your content, i really like it.
If you trap air underneath your upper cheeks and can then squeeze them and the air will be pressed out and make that sound.. it's either that or you goona shit yourself trying.
6:16 "Aye bro my son just swallowed AI" For real though, Jollux is crazy. That spit snare triplet he does is insane. Remix has become sort of a "wall of entry", and Jollux climbed it like there was a ladder attached.
Remix uses vibration bass and not throat bass. Its a combination of your constipated voice with throat bass. Remix has the absolute control over this sound and hands down the best texture.
Jollux has a lot of talent, but he needs to find his own style yet. So far he just copies routines and mixes them a bit together as far as i hear. Still mad talented for a lil kid👌
