@@ReflectingShadow i have bought high end make up for years & I am just over buying the name. I swapped out my $40 born this way foundation for $12 L’Oréal true match & I get the same amount of product & basically the same results
I will not have enough words for how much I love Selena for creating Rare Beauty. It is truly an amazing brand, revolutionary in a way that the price point is not as high as a typical Sephora brand, the products will last for months, maybe years if you don't use makeup everyday, and EVERYONE can use them. MUAs, teenagers, adults, people who love "no makeup" makeup, people who love full glam, drag artists, beginners, professionals. It is something I don't see often in a brand - especially from a celebrity!!! I'm also really happy to see my one of my favorite creators on youtube give love to this brand
I’m not saying I disagree. However what’s different about Selena’s brand that makes it so versatile and long lasting? Why don’t other brands of makeup have the ability to do those things? Cream products should not last for years. That’s unhygienic. And why do you mean EVERYONE can use rare? Why not elf or Natasha denona?
@@earthangelbaby_ 1) Not all of Elf's product are good quality, there's a lot of good ones but sometimes it's a hit or miss 2) Natasha Denona is a very expensive brand, so even though the quality is good the price point is very high Also I'm not saying we should the same products for years... It was a hyperbole to describe that there is a lot of pay off when not using a lot, and it's worth investing (because you get a lot of it for not the highest of prices and it's great quality)
Two points; firstly, Robert, you’re the only person whose intros I watch EVERY time, because you’re utterly charming! Secondly, we all watch you for your skill, talent, techniques and charm. Don’t apologise for ‘affiliate links’… you’ve earned any tiny profit heading your way. You’re absolutely fabulous, never complain, never explain! ❤🥰 xxx
My personal PEFECTION brand is Danessa Myricks!! She is so innovative, her packaging is amazing, and her products have forever changed my oily skin makeup application. She is so wonderful as a person too. I love everything from the blurring balm powder, the foundations, the colorfix, the vision flush, her eyeshadow palettes are CHEFS KISS. Loveeeee. I just wish influencers would use her products as they're meant to be used (in small amounts, like a MUA) and not caked on their faces. I feel like she gets some bad PR from influencers who don't know how to use products.
YES TO THIS!!! I love Danessa and everything she makes is absolutely stunning. And I agree with you. Whenever I see "influencers" talk about her products they're complaining a lot and it drives me insane
I learned of Sigma brushes from Stephanie Lange about 5-6 years ago. And their eyeshadows are perfection. Lip glosses to die for. A brand that is humble....performs but doesn't feel the need to scream "look at me'. An overall great brand.
That is also how I feel about Rare Beuty is another don't scream at me brand and thankfully because we don't need another Charlotte Tilburry type of line's ahahaha🤣🥴🙃
Can I just say I only JUST began watching your channel (Ive followed your bro for awhile and discover you through him) and I thought my makeup was on point until you ruined my opinion of my skills in the best way - because now I have learned SO much! I was wondering why my makeup would fall apart so easily and why things didn’t look as flawless as I wanted. Thanks to you I no longer bake, I apply a fraction of the amount of foundation and concealer and it all looks A BAZILLION times better! THANK YOU!!!! ❤❤❤
I used to be so insecure and second-guessing about everything I did with makeup (and since I didn’t feel good at it I didn’t practice at all), in part because how “easy” it seemed for everyone around me (online and offline). But your channel has really helped me to a point where I even feel confident enough experimenting around (and don’t beat myself down for messing up but using it as a learning experience) and having fun with it! So thank you for that, Robert. ❤ Your videos made me find what was fun about makeup.
I have so many favorite brands.... yet the top three I always reach for are Rare Beauty, ColourPop and Lisa Eldridge. RB blushes, CP eye shadows and well, LE anything is wonderful. Yet, you had me at "my truth about beauty". What a wonderful statement. Have a great day Robert!
I'm gonna say that another brand that isn't talk about enough is Nabla, they are italian and the products are made there too. Every product that I have from them is amazing, their lip liners and the cupid arrow multifuntional stylo are so goooooood
Omg I just pulled them up and their highlighters look absolutely stunning! I’m such a sucker for a good highlighter (and blush too.. and eyeshadow as well lol🤣), pretty much any makeup, really:) But they look like they’ve got some fantastic products. Just what I need.. more makeup lol😉
Nabla is my go to brand when it comes to makeup because all their products are really good quality. Not everything they have works for me, but the quality is always there. I really enjoy their eyeshadows. They have perfect mix of neutral and colour for my taste and I find them very user friendly. You don't have to do anything special to make them work. And they work very nicely on more mature eyelids. Another product that I really like are their brushes. They have really nice brushes and I reach for them all the time. And again, good quality, I have had those brushes for years and they still are in perfect condition.
@@Haghenveien their eyeshadows do look really nice:) I just got one of their highlighters, so I’m excited to try that out.. but I found a few really cute palettes that I’m interested in as well. I’ll have to look into their brushes, although I just replaced all of mine so I don’t need any at the moment, but you never know;)
I had to start from scratch with my makeup and skincare in my late 30s due to a severe allergic reaction that permanently changed my skin. Robert, you and James have both been lifesavers for me during this process. I bought my sigma brushes, sigma eyeshadow primer and Lisa Eldridge foundation upon your recommendations last year and haven't looked back since. Worth every penny. Finally my makeup looks good again. Thank you!!!
I absolutely agree with you about the Rare Beauty blushes. The liquids are great but I LOVE the cream melting one. Everything I’ve purchased from Rare has been amazing. The foundation 10/10, the melting blush 10/10, the liquid highlighter 10/10, the powder highlighter 164729197/10
As a newly certified esthetician, I really feel like your videos are such a great learning tool. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial for doing makeup for photography? Some natural light, some artificial light, the works!
I really appreciate the transparency about ads and affiliations Robert shows in every video. This, the completeness of details in his positive/negative feedback about the brands and products and his reactions while using new products really makes me trust his opinions and suggestions. It’s good to have someone explain the logic about their liking of something instead of the classic “omg wow! You guys NEED this!” influencer reaction. (Just to be clear I’m not referring to anyone specific nor saying everyone else does this. That’s just the type of product reviews I usually see in my fyp).
For me, the Danessa Myricks brand is certainly one that makes me think that everything is extremely thought through and applies really well in terms of the makeup artist's point of view. Just beautiful.
since watching you, ive always wanted to try some sigma products. youre one of the few makeup 'influencers' that i trust wholeheartedly, and your love for sigma definitely comes through the screen :) i recently got my first job, so i hope that i will be able to buy something now!!! have an amazing day robert :)
Stunning makeup! In several of your videos over the years you have mentioned the expiration of makeup products. Could you please do a video regarding expiration and how to tell if your eyeshadow, foundation, etc is no longer wearable? And maybe some pointers on how to sanitize your makeup at home? Thank you for the wonderful content!!!! 🥰🥰❤️❣️
Lisa Eldridge is so inspiring. as a person and as a brand owner. she proves that a brand doesn't have to release tacky shit every 3-5 business days to stay relevant. every time i use her eyeshadows or lipsticks it's an absolute joy because the formilas are so good that it just makes you want to play around with them.
Absolute favourite brands still to this day are Guerlain, Bourjois and Illamasqua these 3 can do no wrong for me and Guerlain and Bourjois are pioneers in baked powders and accessible lip stains. Illamasqua is always one of my go to in my kit for absolute colour and performance ❤️
Sorry Anna it is $6.80! BUT I USE THE SMALLEST TINIEST DROP ON MY BRUSH AND WIPE IT ON THE INSIDE AND CAN USE JUUUUUST THE INSIDE REMNANT FOR A FEW DAYS!!!
For some reason, I thought Lunar Beauty would be on this list, but also I’m not surprised by any of your choices because they’re consistent with everything you’ve said in the past and you consistently use their products :) Always lovely to see videos from you!
Hi Robert!, I watch you all the time but don’t usually comment! Sigma brushes are the best but now I will try their makeup! Thank you so much for this video, I’d rather spend a little more money, when I have it, on quality products instead of all these hit or miss products that are being advertised. Thanks for a great video, I trust you explicitly, your taste in makeup is impeccable! I’m 71 yrs old and I enjoy your channel so much! Sending you a big Grandma Hug!🥰🤗
I absolutely love Lisa's brand. She puts so much time, effort and quality into all of her products. I have NEVER found a foundation that matched my olive undertone. She's literally the only one who keeps every skin tone/undertone in her shade ranges. Her stuff is worth the price as far as I'm concerned! 😌
I agree with you on Rare Beauty and Lisa Eldridge! Currently they dominate my kit. I have been loving her Liquid Lurex shadows & the foundation. I have to also add Hindash. I adore his Beautopsy pallet and the Heroline is by far one of the best liquid liners I have ever used. I have not been disappointed by anything with his brand. Thank you so much for your videos I always look forward to Sunday especially :)
Yes- I adore Sigma. I have so much of their brushes and makeup, and their brush care stuff, and because of you, I use their eyeshadow primer and love it!! They are so innovative!! Sigma is just rock solid.
Sigma rocks! I am actually wearing the Alice in Wonderland palette today. I love their bronzer, color corrector, blushes, eyeshadow palettes, their brushes are fantastic, etc!
It’s relieving to hear that you don’t like makeup on your face. Even as a makeup artist. I literally just can’t. I have had serious acne and even before that I just had to have my freckles showing. I will say products I put on my skin determine if my skin breaks out. So today I recommend everyone understand what they are outing in their skin.
I love that you don't gatekeep. I did a lot of digging for info on quality good makeup..I don't have a lot of funds to waste and I'm tired of buying nonsense 😆 and I love that a lot of products you mention are also backed up by a lot of other every day users of them. You watch celebs get their makeup done professionally and peep their kit..you don't see Charlotte tilburry or tarte..those are hype money brands to me..sure they have some hits here and there but they are more about trends and whats hot and I just ain't got the time anymore lol your knowledge is so valuable
When I was upgrading from cheap makeup brushes you did your collection of faves with sigma and that was back when everyone was only promoting morphe. I though Robert isn't in the makeup world drama I'm going to go with sigma. I have never regretted it or had to replace a brush. That was years ago. Thank you for being authentic
I love the sigma Alice and wonderland palette and blush and lips. Chefs kiss. Easy to apply, no fall out and they look lovely. The brushes in that collection are perfect for me too
I’m a huge Alice in Wonderland fan, so I got as a present Alice in Wonderland pallet from Sigma and I adore it so much! The shades are stunning! And the brush is really amazing! 😍 Even tho I work from home tomorrow, I will try this eyelook 🙈😍 I even wear bold eye looks on regular days, going to get groceries, walking my dog, going to work… and people around me just got so used to it 😂
The best brush I have come across with a palette is Urban Decay, Naked 2 palette. Its dual ended with a pencil type end and a blending brush on the other side and its the best at applying eyeshadow and blending especially when I do a outer V blended out. Sigma brushes were the first brushes I bought and honestly they are so good. Quality is amazing!!!
My perfect brands are anything you recommend. Love how you're not scared to call brands and even other influencers (never by name, too politely British to do that) out for outrageous behavior. We all work hard for our money, it's so nice to have someone who knows the ins and outs respect that.
people confuse negativity with honesty and positivity with dishonesty, so i’m not surprised we see more negative videos than overwhelmingly positive. thank you for this positive video!
Great introduction to some new products for me. Thank you! I've been buying Sigma brushes since I met you, they truly are worth it. I really must try some of their other products. A fave drugstore brand for me is Maybelline. I love the both the Eraser concealer and their Lash Sensational full fan effect mascara above high end!
Ooooh!! You just gave me a great idea!! A series of videos talking about Solid Brands would be great, dude!! Starting with those that have the full range of products for the face, eyes, eyebrows, lips, etc., specific eye products, specific brush products, treatment... I'm curious about your point of view, in full renovation/ kit review. It is not the same for someone who is starting or is shooting, that is why I would love it because no matter how much you have control over a brand, there can always be something that you have not noticed by going for "the leading one", biasing yourself in a certain way. meaning you know? It could be great to do it with brands, in different price ranges. I've always killed myself with the reason that "save to invest in quality, function and durability" and "wear what fits you but explore different styles from time to time for versatility", feeds my creative side. But also in each strip there are brands that have their "top" or flagship product, and out of nowhere... they make a great product, but the rest of the brand is not so solid. It happens to me with quite a few, when you have a trained eye... you don't go to "a certain brand" but to "this" a certain type of product, in complexion greatly. In pro kit mode. Also for personal application, thinking that of all of us who follow your content, there are people from all over the range at different levels. I don't know what you'll think, but I think it's something constructive. For me the perspective of each person, experience, style, technique, as they work and share with others, inspires and makes you and the other person gain skills, online is more complex but it is possible. I think it can help a lot, not in course mode... in the sense of acquiring products intelligently, given the boom since the pandemic, how saturated the market is now with emerging brands and the lack of awareness of indie in general... I think it would be great the truth, for me it has been lost. Based on recovering the sense of intelligent consumption and correct use of the products... look at various price ranges, finishes, textures... I don't know, reading the comments while listening to you I realized that many times there are also There may be a bias for "hype" and a bias for "I'm from the team..." Without going out to explore!! I guess because of preconceived ideas: If you invest in a product and it doesn't work for you, if you think that it's not your style, or "it doesn't work for you" because you used it once and you don't use it well, or they haven't been tested, or seen physically, or because "I once tried the green or blue shadow and it looked like a blow" (no, that was because it was applied badly, wrong undertone, wrong positioning...), for simply using it for special occasions because it is expensive but it is what suits me best, for not knowing how to handle it with different tools... "The tools are as important or more important than the products" knowing how to work with them, looking for the cuts and materials that work in your favor, their multifunctionality... It would be great!! Have a wonderful day!!💚 By the way, team Mykitco and Sigma, "give me this one, this one and this one... and this other one, dearest sales lady"🙃😜
ROBERT!!! You are the few mua who have captured my heart and trust!!!! I always look forward to your videos because I KNOW everything you put out is real and AUTHENTIC. we love you! Stay real and authentic as THAT is what has gotten you our trust, respect and views! ❤
I decided to purchase the sigma Alice palette after I watched this video. Two influencers including you as the first mentioned how great it was. It will be here Tuesday and I look forward to playing with it and I bought brushes as well. 🎉 I am a mature woman that is now able to be myself. Learning new make up tips and what to buy has been part of that with covid not being so prominent in my life as a nurse. It's part of my self care. Ty for sharing such great videos.
My top 2 favorite brands are Adept Cosmetics and Kikiz Cosmeticz. I have almost every product from both brands😂😂 I love supporting small brands/indie brands, and I tell everyone I know about how amazing both of these brands are😂 Danessa Myricks is my 3rd favorite, I loooove her gel chrome flakes. I've been leaving my lid empty and doing my inner corner highlight (I take mine up through my crease) with one of her gel chrome flakes, and it's so freaking beautiful. I have 4 of her chrome flakes pots, and im sure I'll get more😂
I don't follow many beauty channels, so I'd never heard of Sigma until I heard you mention them. I first tried their brushes and loved the quality and range. I got your Sigma set and it's wonderful! Then I branched out to try their various lip treatment products, blush, and eyeshadow palettes. The texture of the eyeshadow is beautiful, and has gotten me to break out of my matte-only rut and play with shimmer and metallics. The New Mod palette is my current favorite. And if course I had to get the eye primer! Thank you for introducing me to them! 💜
i love sigma so much! i was wondering why between yt creators its so rare to find somebody talk about this brand( you made me so happy, you are one of few i trust with opinion) i tried everything from them and im speachless, its perfection! and the price is really nice too for the quality we are getting
Thank you for your Sigma #ad. I like that when you mentioned your Sigma favorites set, you said it wasn't sponsored but it could be an ad. It's an affiliate link and you could make money. It was so matter of fact and I'm here for it. You just proved that it's not hard to mention when you could make money off something you talk about. I'm saying this poorly but I really appreciate your honesty. I know it's required but not everyone does it.
Happy Sunday, Robert! First of all, I am so happy our time schedules have gone back to the normal five hour difference. I love every single product you’ve used and have made numerous purchases from almost of them. One of my faves is my Sigma eye primer (I have a shimmer and a matte) and my splurge item was the most beautiful Lisa Eldridge lipstick in New Wave (I love that shade). While I love everything in my lil makeup collection, the one thing that I cannot go without (and have multiples of) is the Essence minty lip balm . . . I love it! Have a great day everybody!! 💖🖤💖🖤💖🖤💖🖤
I also have this eyeshadow palette and I love it so much ❤️ would you please do some more eyeshadow looks using this palette? I love you Robert you're just so classy and elegant. Cheers to you and all your successes 🎉😂
Very nice video Robert! I love these green colours! I try to make it! I didn't know all the companys wen you show us! Thank for that! Have a nice day! 👍👏🙂🙂🙂
I purchased your brush collection from Sigma and I’m obsessed with them. They feel nice on the skin and the weight of them is incredible. I also LOVE Rare Beauty. 😍💜
My perfect brands are em cosmetics and rare beauty. A bit pricy but the formulas are really beautiful. I also think Em Cosmetics has a hand with colours and tone. They feel very sophisticated
Let me just say this: I rarely have the patience to sit through an entire video. But I enjoy your content so much (and your cute personality 🥰) that I actually watch all the way through (and no skipping!🙂). Peace and blessings to you dear soul 🙏❤️
I LOVE the Simga Alice in Wonderland palette and the Rare Beauty blush! They always travel with me and I can get so many different looks from the one palette.
I really look forward to your recommendation type videos. I find something new every time! I'd love to see you show off more Sigma products, I haven't tried them out. Also my favorite Disney movie is Sleeping Beauty and I'm so sad that it's so underrepresented when it comes to Disney products 😢
Oh Robert you’re gonna cost me my salary.. I was going to buy the sigma palette on Saturday, then changed my mind… looks like another order coming up.. beautiful as ever and always a pleasure to watch 🖤🖤
I love Sigma! I mostly buy drugstore bc that fits my budget better BUT when I do splurge it’s most often on sigma. I love their eye primer in ignite and their brushes are just beyond! I’ve got my eye on your collab whenever I can get it! Love these vids. Always looking forward to your next one 😊keep on shining! ❤️⭐️💫
