These Budget Switches Surprised Me  

Budgies are my favorite!

So I just bought an Epomaker Th96 Keyboard that I wanted to use as a base for my first custom keyboard. I wanted clicky switches because I wanted a nice tactile bump so after doing some testing I settled on Chosfox Artic fox switches. I also picked up a nice set of SA profile keycaps. I know you can get a pro kit of this keyboard that comes with just the case and PCB but I was able to get the full board for not that much more so I went for that and I speced it with the Budgie switches. I am really pleasantly surprised with the budgie switches! They have a really pleasant tactile bump which is rare in this kind of switch design. I may end up going back to using them at some point. It would allow me to take the keyboard to the office also as I currently can't really do that with the Chosfox's ... they are rather loud! If you want a creamy sounding, nicely tactile switch with a medium weighting, the budgies are a great choice!

I've had two boxes of the bluebirds laying around for a while and haven't bothered to try them out yet. Maybe I will now they sound ok. I bought em by accident so didn't think much on it

Be ready to do a bunch of stabilizer work with really light switches that’s why I never get light line or I always get medium or heavy, milky, yellow, pro or milky black pro
