Adelaide and Melbourne are technically not on the Pacific Ocean. I moved from Vancouver to Melbourne for double pay and 50% cheaper housing so there's quite a big difference even in the top 10.

Close enough to the Pacific!

In Toronto, green belt act as pacific ocean so that speculators can gamble.

Mr Tom I bought a condo two years ago on the first page. It says they will take the deposit the last deposit actually 30 days before occupancy which is june 8 2024 but now they delayed so they’re asking for the deposit still and they push the occupancy to 2025 in this case , they have right to take them or not Thx

How’s London, UK not on the list?

The list is based upon the multi-median ratio of price to income; New York and London pay way better, my friend, that's why.

HK is not that expensive. Factor in taxes and it's out of the top ten. A high percentage of HKers are actually homeowners, 53% private with 70% with no mortgages. Another 46% live in Public Housing Estates that were purchased or renting at below market price.

You might want to check more recent data, Calgary has become much less affordable in the past 2 years, even with its higher income. Edmonton is more affordable. But the best ones are still Winnipeg, Regina, Sherbrooke and St-John's.

Calgary has become more expensive for sure but prices are still a fraction of those in Vancouver and Toronto. A detached house in the GCA can still be had for the price of a 1-bed condo in the GTA and GVA

@@TheNewSchoolGamer I totally agree, but in the video he categorized Calgary and Edmonton as the most affordable cities in Canada. Calgary is still cheaper than Toronto or Vancouver, but about the same as Montreal, a bit above the canadian average. Edmonton is a lot cheaper.

@@noseboop4354 That true but Alberta has a higher median household income than Vancouver, Ontario and is around 30% higher than Quebec. Taxes across the board are lower in Alberta as well so it makes a notable difference

And those four cities aren't even cities - more akin to villages. I gasped when I searched of jobs for "data analyst" on Indeed and Winnipeg only returned two, while Toronto usually returns 600-700. They're cheap for a reason. If I could find a job in my field, I'd move in a heartbeat even though Winterpeg and Regina are literally Siberian.

Studio condo's are only 400K in Toronto. That's pretty reasonable.

Yup, only slightly bigger than a Canadian prison cell. Just perfect for anyone who makes their money illegally so that can experience jail before they get caught.
